  A rather short game. Worth the price. The brevity of the story makes it a tad little to get much of the full picture, but enough to get a basic idea of the plot. Art is nice for such an inexpensive game. Worth the price.

  Divination is a short experience, I got what I believe to be the true ending in less than an hour. However, it's also quite cheap and I'm always intrigued by games exploring a mixture of technology and the supernatural. If you're looking for a grand epic that'll take you hours to complete, this is not the game you're looking for. If however you're looking for a bite-sized experience that's got a creative premise, give this a look.

  So I "Think" I beat this game, emphasis on beat because I'm not too sure what a "win" here means. I did make it back to the title screen after a few paths and the last path seemed definitive. A REALLY short game which really feels like a part of something that could be so much bigger with more characters and split paths to be had. Like seriously this concept can be expanded really well, since frankly most of the choices I made felt very 1 or the other. A good time if you got an hour and a half and for 2 dollars feels about right. Shame though but just nonetheless.

  This is a short but nice experience. The finale can be reached in less than an hour, but since I bought it for a price of a small cup of coffee it definitely lasted longer and brought much more enjoyment.

  Very short, but overall good. As a fortune-teller, listen to a few people's troubles and choose from a few possible readings to give them. Your choices alter their outcomes. It's a simple idea executed well. (I would say more, but explaining the gameplay beyond that would spoil a major plot point.) The game has a convenient 'Flowchart' function that lets you skip around the encounters, which is very helpful when trying to get the 'true ending'. My only gripe is that the English text is riddled with language errors and could have used more proofreading.

  This game disturbs me a little bit and I love it for that. I guess I should call it a visual novel because the only real thing you do is decide how to arrange the runes your patrons select, but even that little act can be a quite an experience depending on how into it you can get. What could this rune mean, what order do they actually go in, can I actually reverse the fortune by moving this one? It's very short (like 20 minutes tops) to go through a single time and the English text could use a bit touching up in a few spots, but for the cost of a soda or candy bar I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys the genre.

  Yeah, not bad, a short ride and an interesting concept, I can't complain for £1.50ish. I got the true ending after a while of fiddling around with options. The English writing is pretty horrific though, there's a lot of mistakes, mostly grammar related as well as a fair few things which could have been worded more effectively - @the dev - if you want someone to fix it, hit me up with an exported Excel file or whatever and I'll do it for free.

  [b] There is a rant in this review but here is the brief:[/b] This is a game that has the player pick a combination of runes to determine the future of your clients in the cyberpunk-themed thriller. You have a limited combination of runes to change the outcome of events in the story. Largely the appeal of this game is the story, and less on the game play elements themselves. I found the story to be not as much of an impact as it wanted to have. [b] [i]Rant starts here (Spoiler-Lite):[/i][/b] I’m disappointed by this game. The overarching theme is mostly left up to audience to derive meaning from the story. What I got from it was the idea of over-dependence of idols. The idea in which what happens when your “god” tells you that there is no meaning to life: does life then lose all meaning? All that sounds really deep...until you start questioning those themes in relation to the game-play mechanics… then all the heavy hitting horrifying ambiguity of what those themes imply lose their bite. The very idea of divination being a powerful force that cannot be altered, and then having those concepts be altered by game play just presents the issue that, if the idea that a predictive algorithm is capable of determining the meticulous details of the possible future, would it not then be possible that every divination made by the player also be probable? Getting the hidden ending of the game compounds the issue: because the implication is then that the final outcome is what is willed by the diviner, and treats concept of probability as an absolute (in universe). The game takes a stab at some pretty interesting concepts, and then comes up short by trying to address those concepts with a story that felt lacking any substance to it.

  Incredible cyberpunk art, mood, and very interesting story premise. And just the right amount of game length it felt like (about an hour's worth) A couple weird grammar mistakes here and there, but easily forgivable.

  Aside from the small grammatical errors and short playtime, Divination was a solid game. I really liked the dark concept and direction of the story. I also really liked the artwork and music; it was unique and caught my eye/ear before I decided to purchase. For a visual novel game that's $1.99, it's worth it. Though, as a warning, if you are sensitive to dark topics please refrain from playing this game.
