Although it is only a fan-based concept and not an official map, a Genshin Impact fan recently shared a fan-based Fontaine map concept on Reddit. The concept received over 450 upvotes, demonstrating how much the concept was liked by the game's audience.

Fontaine will be the fifth playable major region in Genshin Impact

There are a total of 7 playable zones in the game Genshin Impact, each of which has its own holy ideals and a major Archon protector. Only four of these regions—Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, and Sumeru—can now be explored.

The uploaded map art was so impressive that many fans claimed they were uncertain of its veracity and believed it to be an official leak. The design of the map is allegedly quite close to that of Illinois, every region in Genshin Impact is based on a real-world location, and Fontaine is allegedly more inclined toward French culture, according to certain fans.

However, the new region, Fontaine, is anticipated to have a sizable portion of the map with water, in the form of waterfalls and other waterbodies, whereas there is hardly any water present in the fan-based map. As a result, it can be anticipated that there will be a slight change in how the map is structured, but overall it will be interesting to see how similar the actual map will be to the fan-based map.
