OMSI 2 Add-on Bremen-Nord Funciones

Following the OMSI add-ons Berlin X10 and Rheinhausen, the third OMSI routes add-on from Halycon Media takes players to the beautiful city of Bremen in northern Germany.

In collaboration with Bremer Straßenbahn AG (BSAG), we’ve recreated eight regular bus lines plus additional special lines for OMSI 2: the Omnibus Simulator.

Over 500 new 3D objects have been produced specially for this add-on, making the routes highly memorable.

Includes licensed MAN buses in different variants with genuine liveries. Thanks to the support of BSAG, not only are the routes based on actual timetables, but genuine on-board announcements are used. The modular selection options enable a whole host of different bus variants.

Numerous Bremen streets have been virtually recreated in high detail based on route maps, and lots of new junctions, landmarks and distinctive buildings have been developed as 3D objects specially for this OMSI add-on.

Passenger voices with north German accents, new AI vehicles and the faithful recreation of actual routes add up to a realistic experience of what it’s like to drive a bus through north Bremen.

Lines included in this add-on:

  • Drivable BSAG lines from 2009 to December 2011: 75 (between Rönnebeck and Grohn), 76 + 76E, 78 and 79

  • Thanks to the chronology function, from December 2011 the 90s lines are added to the game: drivable lines 95E (Vegesack – Rönnebeck), 96, 97, 98 and 99

  • Lines 75 and 76 run from the Blumenthal depot to Vegesack rail station (75/76) and Jacobs University in Grohn (75)

  • Lines 75/76: run through Lüssum, past Blumenthal water tower, Blumenthal rail station, North Bremen hospital and Gustav-Heinemann-Bürgerhaus, and via Sagerstraße to Vegesack rail station

Other features:

  • BSAG MAN Lions City, 12 m, 2009 model, and BSAG MAN Lions City, 18.75 m, 2009, 2010 and 2012 models

  • Rail traffic (DB AI route Bremen-Vegesack – Bremen Central Station, NWB AI route Bremen-Vegesack – Bremen-Farge) with accurate rolling stock

  • Genuine BSAG announcements from 2010 and 2016

  • Officially supported by Bremer Straßenbahn AG (BSAG)

  • Genuine BSAG liveries and timetables

  • New AI vehicles (cars, taxis, ambulances) add more variety to road traffic

  • North German passenger voices

  • Recreation of actual routes with memorable features

  • Chronological events such as diversions, building sites and relocated bus stops

  • Lots of new junctions and road features

  • Over 500 new, location-specific 3D objects (e.g. buildings, ships and landmarks)

IMPORTANT:

You need to have the full version of OMSI 2 installed to play this add-on!

I KNOW I AM THE FIRST ONE WHO BOUGHT THIS DLC I KNOW I AM THE FIRST ONE WHO WROTE THE FIRST COMMENT I KNOW I AM INTO BUS DRIVING TOO DEEP AFTER ALL IT HAS BEEN MY DREAM CAREER SINCE 3 YEARS OLD I thank you for correcting my grammatical errors caused by excitement. Well time for a real review: This DLC is developed by the same crew who created Berlin X10, which is by far the best DLC for OMSI2. I only spent 10 minutes on this DLC as soon as I purchased it, yet I was trorubled by the new IBIS system as there is only German Manual. I do understand some German but still was trying to figure out how. Anyways the lack of English manual pretty much indicates under-preparition of sale on steam. I'll spend some more time on this when able, though I should be generally OK with the quality considering they actually cooperate with the transportation companies. Nice Lion' s cities.

I was excited for this addon, because I got hours of enjoyment out of the X10 addon. But I must say this one disappointed me somewhat. The map is quite lovely, and definitely has a look of its own, but it is not close to be as expansive as the X10 map. There are a few short-ish routes, that change numbers over a few years, so in reality there is only about 3 real routes on the map at any given time. The busses feel somewhat unfinished. The textures on the dash are poor, the sitting position is too low (you feel like you're a six year old driving the bus). The bus sounds are good - but not great, and are too loud on the articulated bus, ticket printer sounds are missing. The solo bus is way too fast, and the gearboxes are wonky on all busses, jumping back and forth between gears way to quickly causing passenger complaints. There are some weird bugs as well, for example: the bus drawing on the LCD does not appear for me (only the doors and wheels inside of it), and if I take over an AI solo bus when it's parked at a terminus I can't move it, because the AI puts on some station brake that is non-existant for the player. The voices in the ticket pack are great. But for some reason I had yet to have a passenger buy a standard ticket. They all buy either day tickets or short haul tickets. And the ticket printer cannot be controlled by the standard keyboard shortcuts, which is very annoying. But most of all I was angered by the lack on an English manual. I'm sorry, but that is just unacceptable for such an expensive addon to force us non-german speaking folk to sit in front of google translate to try to make sense of new ticket printers and IBIS interfaces. If it was $15 or so, I'd say this is a very worthwhile addon. But I can't recommend this it's price, especially when the stellar HaffenCity addon is cheaper. [UPDATE] I now undestand that the english manual is coming soon, so I'm not angry anymore :) I still think the bus is not the best. And I still feel the addon is somewhat overpriced. But the map is lovely so I'm changing my recomendation to positive, if you'd like a good map for OMSI, and - let's be frank - we all know we are hungry for them :) [UPDATE 2] Having spent a few more loops on the addon, I am more convinced that my original point was right. I changed my mind about the bus - I quite like it after a few plays, and the too low seating position is an easy fix. But generally the addon offers too little value for money, IMO. The lines are short and offer no real excitment (for me), the ticketpack which I praised before is now one of my main annoyances - there is no easy way to control the ticket printer with the keyboard, little boys are talking with old man voices - I'm sorry, but that's not nitpicking, that is just the kind of attention to detail that I expect when I pay almost as much for an addon as the original game costs. After four runs on the map I'm bored of it, and I'll go back to driving one of the vast freeware maps on the forum. I'm not changing my recommedation to negative - it's still a good map with a good bus, and in the grand scheme of things there are other omsi payware addons that are a complete ripoff, and this is not one of them. But I'm not happy with it either. Sorry.

Ok changing my review to a thumbs up for this map as it was totally my fault the this map didnt work i hadnt loaded the map without busses in game.(not that i saw anywhere thats what you needed to do) BUT!! the performance on the map sometimes drops, u might get a pause for u couple of seconds here and there. The map seems to work ok apart from that though.

Just not good enough for the money. For a start, performance is awful with this map. They may have claimed to have optimized it in an update but it's still the heaviest of all OMSI2 maps I've used. It's just not a smooth gameplay as it is with other OMSI2 maps (I have a high end system). I had to turn down most settings, and even AA settings on my Nvidia drivers, to get semi-acceptable performance. Other issues are that the lines are very few and very short! If you're happy to drive in 2009, you get a 30 minute line to drive but if you prefer the up to date routes on the map, then let me tell you - one of them is 15 minutes in the length and the others are 10 minutes. That's just not good enough for this price point. Some of the roads are physically too narrow to get a Gelenkbus (18m) down. Yes, just the same as with Gladbeck. I understand that the roads in the real North Bremen area are narrow, but if it is physically impossible to make a 90 degree turn at a junction, without mounting a curb, then this simply is NOT realistic - real buses in Bremen are, I am sure, not mounting the curb! The bus is ok, with quite nice engine sounds. But what is very annoying is that there is a tone that goes off to let the driver know that all doors are closed. However, it is exactly the same tone as for when a passenger wants to get off - so everytime you close the doors, it sounds like you've closed them before all the passengers have got off the bus! Very annoying. I absolutely love the X10 map - it's my favourite all time route in OMSI2. But if you think that this one will be off similar quality / enjoyment, because it is also from Halycon, you will be disappointed.

A bit of a let down considering the previous maps, X10 Berlin and Rheinhausen are some of my favourite maps but this 'follow up' is a big let down - The routes are short with very little bus stops, the map is well thought out and detailed but the constant lag breaks are unbearable, lasting for seconds at a time and are very frequent. The map itself is unclear, the layout of the timetables makes little sense and none start out from the bus depot either. This really isn't worth the money and whilst X10 and Rheinhausen have some minor issues, they do not cause me problems with the gameplay like the issues do on this map. This certainly isn't worth the cost.
