  If you're a big fan of the original Back to the Future trilogy, you need this game. No, seriously, you NEED this game. Period. The storyline is incredibly good and feels authentic to the original movies, pushing the characters in interesting directions that I hadn't expected. It takes place after the movies, and as Marty McFly you'll end up traveling back to prohibition era Hill Valley after discovering that a prolonged absence by Doc Brown is due to his having been murdered back in the 30's. As expected, traveling back in time to save him leads to unexpected alterations in the timeline and a frantic hustle to fix one mess, only to create another. Overall it's very cleverly written and worthy of the franchise. Aesthetically, the game takes a more stylized cartoonish approach to the characters rather than attempting realism - something that I personally rather enjoyed. And the voice acting - hoo man the voice acting is amazing! Christopher Lloyd reprises his role as Emmet Brown, and though Michael J Fox does not reprise his, the person who fills in as Marty does such an amazingly good impression that I literally could not tell the difference. Seriously, I was genuinely shocked to learn it hadn't been Fox voicing him. Best yet, Fox returns for a couple of cameo roles in the final episode. From a gameplay standpoint, it's a point-and-click adventure with pretty simple puzzles. Overall its approach is straight forward and only a small handful of times did I find myself getting hung up on a puzzle - however, the puzzles aren't really the point so much as that you're involved in an interactive movie, and this is made very clear by the fact the game has a hints feature that will outright TELL you the answers if you're well and truly stuck, allowing you to breeze through the story at a pace that's already hardly broken by frustration. At least, not in terms of the puzzles themselves. This isn't to say this game isn't without issue - things like movement is a bit buggy and aggravated me quite a bit, especially when switching between sceneries. The inventory is also kind of annoying the way it makes you have to scroll through it instead of having all items available at once. As inconvenient as this can sometimes be, it's hardly enough to detract from what makes this game shine. Seriously, if you're a fan of the movies, put this in your collection. You'll thank yourself.

  This review is for the entire series, not just this episode. -------------- Playing this game felt like watching a fourth installment of the Back to the Future movie series. It has plot twists, it has adventure, it has Einstien! Honestly, TelTale did a good job on this and deserves the money. Not to mention, MICHAEL J. FOX AND CHRIS LLOYD VOICING THEIR CHARACTERS! Daymn that's some fine fan service...

  Back to the Future: Ep 1 to 5 is a captivating adventure game that kept me hooked from start to finish. The game's story line is intricately woven and features characters that are true to the original movie. The game's puzzles are challenging but not too difficult, making it a great game for both casual and hardcore gamers.

  If you're playing this after some of the newer TellTale masterpieces you will probably be disappointed. You can tell they were still experimenting with a lot of things while making this. The game feels less intuitive, the character development is not as good, the story is not as captivating(to me) and the art style is not as developed. Even as a fan of the movies I find this a bit hard to get in to. I'm not saying its a bad game for what it is, but keep the things I've said in mind as far as expectations, if you've played TWD or The Wolf Among us before considering getting this.

  A quite moving game! Back to the Future is my favourite science fiction trilogy, and after eagerly traversing all 5 episodes of this game, I must say it makes an inspiring and amusing sequel. Although not much effort was made to fill the environments with many citizens, as it would have been expected for a more realistic recreation of each era, the main characters, including new ones, are remarkably well polished in personality. The original ones were given the same personality and vibrance as in the films, in fact. In addition, Marty McFly feels just the way he's meant to be from the very beginning: a cool-yet-sloppy teenager. And even though he was played by a different voice actor, his voice sounds extremely similar to Michael J Fox's from a few decades ago. The gameplay is quite similar to the Monkey Island series'. Attempting to slash the frustration of getting stuck, we are given a hint system that provides clues on demand without spoiling it immediately. These are entirely optional, so in general, it is a plus. Those who are used to the old sk00l point-and-click adventures may not need this anyway. The UI could have been made slightly better by adjusting the character movement by keyboard, which sometimes did not behave as expected. I also got myself into a strange bug in chapter 5, in which Marty may get into a place he's not expected to go to. Not saying where, but a reload doesn't hurt much here. The story was both fascinating and touching in many parts. As Marty and Doc visit past and present instants of time, they find their own reality suddenly changing, often to the worse. It's like visiting the corrupted Hill Valley from Part 2, except that all alternate timelines are different, and they must figure out new ways to get back in time and save their reality. All this while helping past selves, avoiding running into other past selves, persuading alternative selves and making your opinion become heard on what spices to put on a week-old cabbage soup. Indeed. I had relatively quick game sessions in this game, and now there isn't much reason to replay it. I guess these kind of games must come to an end, unless they make alternate endings like in The Walking Dead. I'm not sure whether I would have liked that in BttF, though. To conclude, I guess I'll go for 7.4/10. I would certainly send a friend back in time. *Back in Time song*

  The animation in the game is awesome, and I love that they found someone, where their voices are almost identical with the originals. It's a good game and a bit challenging. The time is flying, when you are playing it. A very exciting history and very wellcombined. Well thought!
