  The game is dead now atm. I played the game before then now it's dead without servers being onlined. You may end up playing with the bots if you are lucky to log in. Spend your money on something other than this game. Move on. It was part of the bundle I bought years ago.

  Wha is good on a Multiplayer game? The challenge of Player VS Player, correct? And what if you don't have friends to play with? Oh well, there must be a story mode, or at least a flat setting to set you up for action, right? So... what might go wrong here? Well Metal Drift firstly needs to register to play. I bought the game guys.... hello????? Why did you had to force us to register to play. Gee bad move, whatever. After the whole proccess I logged in to find what? Almost empty servers and.... no story mode. So If I wont convince a firend of mine to buy the game, I can not actually play it, right? Well guess what, this is a NO from me. It is a very VERY rare thing putting a thumbs down on a game. But I can't play it. No seriously... if I had some friends playign with me I could give it a shot and recommend it on discount. But now what can i do?! By the way, graphics are not something special... gameplay is average, can't tell if it is boring or not though, SINCE I CAN NOT PLAY ALONE.... It's a no for me and I am really sorry. I know that fanboys will come and rate this down but I don't really care. Really, think about it. Spending money on a game you can not enjoy, how would YOU feel?

  As Most said, This game is only good if you got friends. Long since dead, gone, and withered. This isnt something you can buy and expect to get a lot of enjoyment out of. It is Soccer with hover tanks. That much is true. The satisfaction of the exploding tanks, the heavy weaponry and the crazy stuff you cna do is also cool. But all in all, I would suggest Rocket League if anything. Same basic idea, Minus the futuristic blowy uppy weaponry. TL;DR: Buy only if you got 8+ friends who'll play it as well. otherwise, do not.

  This game is wicked! when you drift backwards around a wall and line up an enemy tank with you're ion cannon! Bam! Good times:) I've been playing it for years and keep coming back. If your a graphic's snob (like my lame friends) then u prolly wont touch it. But if you play games for fun! Metal Drift promises unique, hard hitting, high speed, drift tank action!

  This small little "Capture the flag with hover tanks"-game is real fun! Nice graphic, good arenas, a level-up-system with new weapons and tank improvements. For practice and offline play it also includes bots. For a small price this game is good to fill small time gaps. Just try the demo.

  Smooth lighting graphics, The Boom and the Audio Commentary during gameplay is Awesome. When i first bought this game i thought its was a racingg game to survive to win by blowing the hell out of other racers lol. But instead, it is more like a sport combat game where we drive these hover tanks mounted with Large Cannons trying to get a robotic ball from it's position and of those that dropped it after getting destroyed blasting your way through into the opponent goal post to score is fun. Haven;t come across any game like this before. Never I try single player yet but ONLINE EXPERIMENCE is fun. :D TeamPlay :)

  Reviewing this game in the SCAR format: Skill - The game has a large skill cap with a lot of niche complexity to it. The better you get, the more you realize what is possible. In coordinated play, this game is unreal compared to some modern competitive games. Community - The game's community has a lot of passionate fans that have mostly moved on from the title. The game really needs a group of people for it to show off how much fun it is and that there are layers to the complexity. Playing with just bots gets old very fast. I recommend picking up a 4-pack of the game. Accessibility - While the 12 year old game costs $10 USD, I can say I got my money's worth and through this pandemic, I have been able to attract a lot of my friends to it and have been able to enjoy it all over again. I feel like the game should cut its price for more users to enjoy it, but I don't know if that will ever happen. The first launch registration seems daunting when you open it, but the indie developers based in Portland, OR implemented a leaderboard system on their website that utilizes the use of a registration like this. As the code has gotten older, it takes much longer to receive your password to login to the game for the first time. You may need to try registering with a different email if you don't receive your code within 5 minutes. This slump in accessibility knocks this game down quite a few points. Reward - The game has no tournament or eSports scene, so there is not much of a reward to getting incredibly good at the game. There is the global leaderboards which is quite rewarding in the manner of bragging rights, but since the servers are usually empty, it will be hard for anyone to break DRYICE away from #1. With a sequel to the game coming sometime in the distant unknown future, there is always the possibility that the mechanics and skill can transfer into the new version, and the new version becomes the next big thing. In Conclusion - The game is well designed and incredibly competitive in its play and complexity. However, with a lack of a community and a frustrating accessibility system, the game hits a fair 7/10. I will always come back to this game, and my friends continue to try it out and enjoy it, which makes me think there is always hope for the game/IP's future.

  It's a mediocre sports game that only plays online... and there's nobody online to play it with. Hang around all day and you won't find a full server. Thanks to its unlock system, when you do find an opponent you'll be playing at a horrible disadvantage until you also get all the unlocks - but there's pretty much no incentive to take the punishment until then. A complete waste of money.

  Contrary to what was mentioned in another review and despite the lack of info on the store page, this game has no offline mode. It is an online-only DRM game. There is bot and LAN support, but you must still create an account with Black Jacket (email required) and log into their servers in order to play. If your internet connection is down, or if Black Jacket's servers are down, the game will not run at all. Further, Black Jacket has no publicly-viewable privacy policy that I could find, so be mindful of what they do with your personal data. It's good that there is at least bot support, because you will have a very difficult time finding anyone online to play with outside of special events. Unfortunately, the bot AI is very simplistic and rarely uses any sort of team tactics like passing and coordination, so you won't get much enjoyment at all if you're planning on playing solo. The core gameplay is fun - basically soccer with tanks. If you do have a group of friends to play with, you may get some enjoyment out of it, but I wouldn't recommend the game to anyone else.
