Drive P@ss Introduction

The Let’s Do-ga app will be discontinued at the end of September 2020.

The Yahoo! News feature will end at the end of October 2020.

Regarding voice recognition, the function to specify registration points by voice will no longer be available from November 2020.

■Product description

"Drive P@ss" is an app that allows users to enjoy useful driving applications on the touch panel of the car navigation system, using the same operations as on a smartphone, by connecting an installed Android smartphone to a car navigation system that supports "Drive P@ss."

■Notes

To connect the car navigation system and Android smartphone,

・Compatible car navigation system

・USB connection cable and HDMI connection cable compatible with the above car navigation systems

・MHL adapter compatible with your smartphone (for smartphone terminals that support MHL output. MHL to HDMI conversion adapter) or micro HDMI⇔HDMI conversion cable that is compatible with your smartphone (for smartphone terminals that support micro HDMI output) case)

must be purchased separately.

You will also need to configure Bluetooth connection settings.

■Main functions

-You can select and use an app from the app list screen.

*As of version 1.3.17

-"Title Finder" (standard on "Drive P@ss")

You can search the database for information on music data recorded from CDs in your car navigation system, and add titles and artist names.

(Note)

Title Finder will only be displayed on the app list screen when connected to a compatible car navigation system. Please check here for the compatibility status.

You cannot use it if it is not connected to your car navigation system or if it is connected to another car navigation system.

-"Music Player for Drive P@ss"

You can play music data stored in your Android smartphone. You can search for the music you want to listen to from the album list or artist list. This app requires installation from Google Play there is.

-"Video Player for Drive P@ss"

You can play video files saved on the smartphone's internal storage or external storage (microSD card, etc.). This app requires installation from Google Play there is.

■Please be sure to read

・To connect to the car navigation system, "Drive P@ss communication Service” app must be installed.

- If you turn on "Continuous communication setting", communication will be performed via Bluetooth connection with the car navigation system that has already been connected, even if the application is not running.

If you connect before launching the app, when you press the "Drive P@ss" button on your car navigation system, the Drive P@ss app will automatically launch without you having to operate your smartphone. (Only compatible car navigation systems)

In this case, devices that use Bluetooth communication other than car navigation systems or applications that use Bluetooth communication other than this app may not be able to be used properly.

If you use a Bluetooth compatible device or Bluetooth compatible app other than your car navigation system, be sure to turn off the "Constant communication setting".

(We will not be held responsible if your Bluetooth-enabled device or Bluetooth-enabled app stops working properly when you turn it on.)
