  tl;dr - I recommend this game overall. For its price (especially when on sale) I got more out of this than you'd think. Not quite as strong as The Convenience Store by the same dev team, but still a good effort with a scare or two. I didn't find the atmosphere/setting/aesthetic quite as strong in this one and I've narrowed it down to two reasons: 1. It lacks the VHS/video tape/90's style and dream-like quality that The Convenience Store used to draw me in. Granted, [spoiler]The Convenience Store is set sometime after 2009[/spoiler] which makes the VHS aesthetic kind of strange but I still felt it lacking here. 2. More importantly, I felt like I've experienced this story numerous times already in both video game & creepypasta format. The idea of a Ghost Train is far from novel at this point & while I can respect the team wanting to do their take on a horror trope I wish it had a little more of its own spin. Again: This is still a strong recommend at its price point. The above is constructive criticism + my subjective take.

  I think I've played enough Chilla's Art games to write this last review. Honestly, they're not absolutely awful.. but I can't help but feel a strong sense of "if you played one Chilla's Art game, you played them all" And because Steam doesn't have a mixed rating, I have to give it a thumbs down. It's just not my kind of horror I guess

  I played this game together at the same time with my good and cute friend @Flexus . It is a while, when we have played it together but as far as I remember, it was a brilliant horror game. We had lots of enjoyment to play this game. Super horror nostalgia. It is worth all the money, so you better grab it! We love Chilla`s Art games! Get Goo Goo Alu! 10/10

  Okay, I ended up enjoying this game. It is a basic walking sim type horror game. The story was good, though the subtleties of it can be easily missed if someone wasn't paying full attention. Seeing the entire story, it does become a bit dark though only through inference (and even then, it took me a little bit to connect the dots). The graphics were okay, nothing too bad or good, but, of course, the people looked great with their PS1-like graphics. The scares were extremely lite, and like the story itself, some of which could be easily missed if you don't pay attention. There are no jumpscares or real fear even with the one and only chase scene. I didn't experience any issues while playing the game. My only real complaint for the game is just how missable the rare scares and subtleties of the plot are in the game. The game itself isn't very long (less than 1-2 hours), so missing anything affects what you think/feel while playing the game. Overall, the game was good for a lite horror. I definitely recommend this game for those that either love walking sim horrors or scare easily.

  train has a kinda strobing effect to it later in the game was starting to make my head hurt as someone who has epilepsy just be careful

  This was a decent game for $3 the atmosphere was great and the lighting! I did have some pretty nasty bugs throughout the game though. Whenever I tried to change settings for the game it would crash right away. Also whenever I hit a loading screen the game would load but would be a blackscreen and the only way to fix this was to close the game and open it again. If you can push though these bugs the game was pretty decent and I recommended it.

  Chilla's Art: Ghost Train This one is unique due to the fact the horror of this one isn't built on ambient dread but rather a descent into chaos. Starting this game I was kinda disappointed as the dreadful environments found on previous installments were not present and I felt pretty at ease. With each passing day however I found myself wishing it be over, not due to it's lack of quality but due to the increasing amount of unease I felt. Fantastic experience.
