  Keeps everything good about Asylum while expanding it to include female protagonists with cool new fighting styles, a larger game world, and a plot that puts Batman himself through the wringer in the best way.

  The atmosphere is fantastic. The city isn't that big but detailed and gives you a lot of variety. Every location is unique. The gameplay is phenomenal, you acutally feel like batman and it's so much fun just to kick ass. After about 20 hours of playing I can definitely say that this game is fantastic. The Batman Franchise has a new fan. Absolutely worth buying.

  Note: This game been tried out and reviewed in Steam offline mode or on Consoles. Arkham Asylum ruled. It was the game for gamers, not weekend warriors or FPS fanboys. It managed to take a ubiquitous piece of modern culture (Batman) and completely redefine its role in the modern zeitgeist.And it managed to be a fantastic game in its own right, becoming a GOTY title Enter Arkham City. Everything you loved about the original game is back, but what's so important here is that RockSteady added things to the formula that are so common sense, so amazingly brilliant and subtle, that we didn't realize we needed them. Overall: this is a game that doesn't get played, it gets experienced. It's impossible to put into words what this game does for the action/adventure and super hero genres. RockSteady has truly outdone themselves, and the amount of content here is absolutely insane. Say what you want about Batman. He can't hear you. He's in Arkham City, keeping u safe "Solid Game"

  This game is so good that you need to play it to belive it. Have a lot of exploration, a lot of aventure, an interesting history and characters, and easy controls to become the Dark Knight.

  Arkham Asylum was among the best superhero videogames ever made as is, so it's no small feat that Arkham City is superior to it. Arkham City wisely doesn't fix what was never broken, opting for "more": combat techniques, gadgets, villains, enemy types, etc. Instead of being relatively linear, AC is set in an open world. Now you do the story at your leisure, and there are several side quests. You'll want to do them all. For while the world isn't massive, it's DENSE. With so much time spent in the skies and on the rooftops, the challenges are laid out to guide you to everything placed in the world. And there's a lot to see. The game doesn't end when you beat the story. You're free to keep playing as long as you like to finish the side quests. You can start a New Game+ too. Plus, there are challenge maps galore, with multiple characters to use. (The Robin/Nightwing DLC only add content to the challenges.) Last thing: the game runs MUCH worse using DX11, with virtually zero visual change.
