The tale you've long waited for... is here.

As the eldest son of the Katsuragi Family - one of the leading families of mages in Japan - Kiyotaka travels across the ocean to London with his little sister, Himeno, in order to study abroad at Royal London Magic Academy, also known as Weather Vane.

A sprawling underground academic city awaits Kiyotaka and Himeno as they set foot for the first time in the fog-covered city of London.
The academic city is situated in an underground lake and is composed of three floating islands in the shape of a crescent moon.
Many fledgling mages from around the world congregate here to study their craft in an optimum environment.

Kiyotaka begins to feel at ease in his new environment, and soon enough the siblings are merrily hanging out with their new friends at school.

Experiencing ordinary days, repeating like a da capo, as if they were a dream...

A tale of encounters and farewells, and the story of how it all began.

"Da Capo" an Italian musical term meaning "From The Beginning" taking from the internet. Da Capo III R, a massive undertaking, isn’t easily slotted into one visual novel category. The mystery surrounding the game isn’t dark or foreboding enough for horror enthusiasts, but it’s not as “get the girl” as other harem games tend to be. The story is utterly massive to behold, and, in theory, you’d need to have already invested close to one hundred hours in the previous (and arguably inferior) games to fully appreciate the big reveal. But it is a wonderful story. The girls aren’t insipid or empty, and everything does come together. While you might feel some initial inhibitions, you don’t get hung up on the idea of breaking others hearts when it becomes clear that each attempt is a new lease on life, a new chance to see what happens. If you’ve truly been interested in a cute visual novel experience and want something top shelf without being lewd, then Da Capo III R is an amazing place to start. Just don’t plan to do anything else that weekend. So no Da Capo III Fan Disc?

Mildly recommended. This is a very long visual novel; probably 50+ hours for the main story. Only consider this if you are already a fan of the Da Capo franchise or if you are skilled at navigating Japanese dating-sim slice-of-life visual novels and know when to skip sections without affecting the story flow. Oh and no, you don't need to have played the previous installments before this. The mystery thriller (albeit light-hearted) aspect of the story is enjoyable, especially the story of the "culprit" and the true route, which are quite well done. However, the flow of the story is disrupted by several lengthy, unrelated slice-of-life sections, which should be skipped for better story pacing. The other aspects, such as the music, character design, other character story arcs, chemistry, and visuals are average. Though the overall production and English translation quality is good.

Good story with cliche plot twist, but well presented, I recommend read first side story after finish prologue chapter. First side story basically prologue of the next chapter(Weather Vane Chapter). (+) Story was well presented, their know how to place comedy and serious scene. The way the talk make the reader enjoying their conversation (+) You can make many fool choice and get hillarious answer without worrying if it affecting the plot (+) I love back sprite (+) Side character got their own development and still appear in heroine's route(because mostly VN, Thanos snapped them) (+) The plot twist was kinda shocking. But once again, it cliche plot twist. (-) some route kinda rush when reaching climax (-) The side characters has more personality than actual heroine. and it become problem since their appearance make the heroine feel flat. (-) prologue chapter was too long and waste of time, since it not much connected to actual story(only end of prologue, dream, and Ricca behaviour). (-) the way story change for every loop still not enough to give atmosphere if something really change. Heroine rating 4. Himeno: Her story was good at the start and middle, but kind rush at ending 3. Charles: Wholesome, that's the only thing i can say. Her ending kinda sad, but easy to see it coming 2. Sara: Drama kinda forced, but i still understand how it feel, Her route really give a true charm of her 1. Ricca: Wholesome, lewd, drama, and plot heavy become one on her route. I liked :D 0. Aoi: Her route was separate from the other heroine. Her route almost same(maybe) as her side story, but with better conclusion. She basically the core of the story About true ending There is two true ending in this game. One via last chapter and the other via side stories. Both of them involve Sakura appearance. Last side stories(second true ending) fully involve all Da Capo 2 cast. So beware when you never read previous tittle to get confused.

I'm hardcore fan of Da Capo series, I've played almost all of DC series and DCIII is the best of Da Capo for me. For someone who didn't play Da Capo 1and 2, don't to worry about it. There're many thing related but Major of Da Capo III is what happen before Da Capo 1 and 2. Story is back to English 1951(around 100years before DC1) where everything begin. Story: well balance between sad and joy scenes and many plot hiding before true route. There're many main routes in DCIII (and side character route too, but very short). Every route connect to each other if you want to fully enjoy DCIII I recommended to play every route until you reach true route. Character: Well-made match with Voice Actor, every character have deep background and most of main characters related to DC1 and 2. Music: BGM appropriate well with story, when story process to some point OP (and Start Screen) will change to match with story. At first maybe confuse because story switch between English and Hatsunejima with same characters, after reach to some point story will focus on English 1951 For Da Capo series information Timeline Da Capo 3 (in English 1951) Da Capo (around 70-80 years after DC3 true end?) Da Capo 2 (50 years after Da Capo1) Da Capo 3 (20 years after Da Capo2) There're "MANY MANY MANY" fandisc in Da Capo series but no need to play all of them, most of fandisc focus on what happen after main game ending or alternative routes. eg "D.C. Innocent Finale" is about what happen if Junichi go out with Kotori instead of Nemu "D.C. II To You" there're 4 mini story Ajisai , Kikai no kokoro, Mahiru ni furu ame and Setsugekka (most of all is what happen before D.C. II begin except kikai no kokoro) "D.C. III PP" is DCIII after story and about what happen to Yoshiyuki and his wife after married (Yoshiyuki married in D.C II Dearest marriage) and other like DC*** PC/PS(plus communication/Plus situation) this is main game with addition routes.

    - I finished the game from mangagamer, I buy it in STEAM to show my support. My hour game time in STEAM does not reflect my actual playtime - I've been waiting for Da Capo 3 English for so long, I can't express how happy I am when it finally is here. I'm a big fan of Da Capo, and I played almost all versions (as long as it is in English). Da Capo 3 R is an all-age version, and I don't mind it at all. The upside for all Da Capo is not the 18+ scene, but the very intricate story that always makes me memerized with the game from start to finish. If you enjoyed a Visual Novel like those of "Key" company, then I highly recommended playing Da Capo, because I guaranteed you that this will not dissapointed you. You do not need to play the previous Da Capo to able to enjoy the game. But I'm certain if you never played other Da Capo before--by the time you finished with this one, you will wanted to play Da Capo 1 and 2.

Da Capo was pretty much my first visual novel I've ever read. Seeing it on steam is actually still a big shock to me. Getting hit so hard by nostalgia vibes from reading returning to Hatsune Island (even if only for a moment). In a general review, it's kind of hard to describe Da Capo III as anything different from any other visual novel, but in my opinion, it's really easy to enjoy and love the cast of characters introduced to you: every single character has their own memorable appeal. And for anyone riding on the "who's the best waifu" train, well... you'll likely have a hard time devoting to just one person simply by reading the common route. As for anyone new to the series, Da Capo III is a standalone game. Whether you've seen the anime or played the first or second game doesn't matter. Da Capo III is setup in a way that will probably make you want to try out the other games, if not, it's a great visual novel on it's own. #RiccaBestWaifu Edit: After finishing the true ending, I have to say, there's a really nice amount of easter eggs for anyone who's read Da Capo II. Overall, great visual novel for veterans and newcomers to the series~

Playing the other 2 Da Capo games is not reqiured. There are 5 main routes, one for each heroine and in addition there are side episodes. The heroines themselves are so loveable, and the game does a great job at making you feel attach to them. I really like the atmosphere and the setting of the game. Also the character sprites and artwork are very well drawn. As the game progresses the story will become deeper. The game is pretty long and very satisfying so it’s definitely worth the price. Overall, this game is really enjoying to play.
