Welcome to the world of Dead Age: Survivors - Wishlist & Follow!

About the Game

Dead Age 2 is a unique combination of survival, management, Rogue-Like events, fast turn-based combat, classic role-playing game with tons of quests and a story in which your decisions directly affect plot progression!

Features

  • More complex story with no knowledge of the previous storyline necessary: If you haven't played Dead Age you will still be able to follow the diverse story of Dead Age 2 without difficulty.

  • Improved combat system (Final Fantasy X meets Darkest Dungeon): with fast-paced yet strategic battles and use of up to 24 skills

  • Faction Reputation System: Increase your standing with the three major factions to reap rewards and improve trade

  • 3D Base-Management: Assign tasks to survivors, craft items and expand you camp's capabilities for improved crafting options

  • Compact Open World: Free exploration of the world map with 80 detailed locations to search for valuable resources

  • Decisions with Consequences: Your decisions directly affect the story in a much more drastic way. Dead Age 2 has six unique possible endings

  • Rogue-Like Elements: random 3D events with permadeath! If you die, you may purchase upgrades unlocked in previous runs for your next playthrough. Choose from 3 difficulty levels

10 years after the initial outbreak of the zombie apocalypse, the members of Jack's camp fled to Freedom City, where a cure for the zombie plague was developed. But the news brings more suffering than relief. New factions have sprung up in the region, in constant battle for dominance. The merciless Military, the shady Smugglers and the Independents made up primarily of civilians.

When an Independents' refugee camp was overrun by an undead horde, the few survivors struggle for food and valuable resources in an unforgiving world, always looking over their shoulder for gangs of looters and the flesh-eating dead.

While the big advantage of Dead Age's turn-based combat system versus tactics-based games is faster progression, the mechanics have evolved.

A character can now bring up to 24 skills to the battle. Change up your tactics mid-fight to instantly gain the advantage over zombies and hostile survivors. Place front-row combatants to protect ranged-combat allies from attackers, and deploy turrets, hunting dogs and tigers, as well as an array of new weapons.

Visit the outposts of other factions to trade and take on missions and improve your standing with them. Improving relations with the region's greater factions unlocks better equipment and plot devices. A negative reputation can lead to confrontation or even a bounty.

Your 3D base is your central hub of operations. Here, you assign crafting or building jobs to survivors, build and upgrade stations to improve defense and quality of life and unlock improved craftable items and higher yield of resources.

The new open game-world offers free exploration of the world map with over 80 detailed graphically depicted locations. Beside nature scenes, Dead Age 2 features new indoor locations like hospitals, bunkers, schools, malls and army supply stores.

Decisions you make while playing can have significant effects on the progression of the story involving the three survivor factions, romanceable characters, and bring you closer to one of the game's six endings!

Like its predecessor, Dead Age 2 features random events on the map resulting in a variety of consequences, but this time those events are depicted fully in 3D. Survival RPGs are especially dangerous. 3 difficulty levels and permadeath may result at any time in losing an ally for good. If your main character falls victim to the apocalypse you are forced to begin a new playthrough, for which you can purchase upgrades and advantages unlocked in previous runs.

Gain enough standing with the factions and you may purchase things like upgraded faction equipment for newly-created characters, as well as unlock unique endings. This gives Dead Age 2 high replayability!

Ah, Dead Age 2 is back with vengeance! It is what store page says, but is it really? Again, we have "turn based finial fantasy combat perma death" without bigger changes in format from Dead Age 1. Combat did get some rework as well as camp management, but it was far too complicated for it's own good. However, there's a great quality increased compared to the previous game. Protagonist from DA1, is present in DA2, but we get a new character to roleplay as. Zombies aren't your classical dumboss walking around. They know how to use weaponry, that is not a gun, they can use special moves and so on. Also, we got more mutants in here. Pros: + Story continues and is better than DA1 + Improved Combat + Improved Camp management + 3 friendly factions and few unfriendly + Map divided into 3 zones + New and old NPCs are back + Choices + New enemies? + Losing character doesn't hurt as much + Nostalgia of flash games + You can actually get "infected" for a moment + Night 2 track Cons: - Only one combatant can start in front row - Reused content from DA1 - Most of combat skills are useless (basic attacks rlz) - Same format as DA1 but somtimes over-complicated - Minor visual glitches from time to time - 1 guard only, so it isn't too easy to defend... DA1 hero will help You out from time to time tho + barricade - The game is way too long to complete - Nuns and their abilities... Most of the game is You running around the map from point to point and doing (almost) exactly the same combat over and over again. A lot. A lot, a lot, A LOT. Some events trigger only on certain days, so You can't speed up much (or I did not find a way). Only few skills have any meaning, as the rest will do worse than 2 basic attacks. You have to proritize dealing with grenadiers, then stunners, heavy hitters and then clear the rest. Hound did save me couple of times. TL;DR: Coin per hour makes the game worth it price, but is it? You will see bigger part of the game content in first 5 hours. Then it is how much You like it to actually complete after first few gameovers. If You're unsure, wait for sale.

No flashy cinematics Cutscenes, no voice overs pure gaming. At first I was skeptical but after playing the game for a few hours it got me hooked up. Totally worth the money that I spent on it. Definitely enjoyable. Try it am sure most of you will end up liking it.

It has some good ideas. But the combat is just so bad. It says it wants to be like so many good combat games, and then manages to make something just underwhelming. The zombies almost always have a ranged attack, so it makes your gun feel pointless. Just close the distance and bash them down to save expensive ammo.

Well well, what a neat little find this game was! Started as "Mreh! Too hard!" After 3 hours? "Way too easy... I'm overflowing with resources" Weird ride. All in all I'm loving it as a hardcore zombie fan. Just never gets old for me. My only criticisms would be 1. Game dialogue is rife with typos and bad grammar. 2. Because this game isn't very popular, the info online is EXTREMELY limited. Lots of questions about how to get certain things. 3. Devs only seem to be responding to the negative comments which is a shame as I've read a fair few insightful positive reviews with some good ideas here that deserve to be answered. In sum, really enjoying it (19.3 hours in 3 days! Woof). But would love to know how to do more on it. There's only a wiki for D.A and not D.A 2. I want my Tiger!!!

I don't understand the big hate for this game. I mean, the only thing I do differently is put a relaxing music while I'm playing it and the depressive ambience settles in. I prefer a depressive relaxing setting for an apocaliptic world than a battle one, but that's me. The game is very cheap on promo and has so many things to do with all the quests that's it's worthy your cash. It's basically a very good survival camp simulator. Yes, it gets repetitive but which game of open zombie survival doesn't? Gather resources, explore, construct things, rescue survivors, improve your base, lookout for better gear, destroy enemy camps or diminish hordes. Your life at the end is basically that. If you're playing for an ending, I'd say you're doing it wrong. The difficulty I feel it was reduced compared to Dead Age 1 because there are now multiple tactical options for battling (although I felt that your battle formation is limited), so much balancing was done and you have so many choices that matters, you can avoid many conflictations entirely. People that die, they do that out of greed. I love the fact that you can now personalize appaerance and stats. Maybe next version you could play as a woman aswell? I know a lot of girls play games. The dev has been listening to criticism for what I've understood and there is no obligatory permadeath anymore. This game has improved compared to the first exponentially and you can feel the passion of the devs for this game. Didn't find any bug whatsoever.

    Recommended, good job devs!

More of the same from Dead Age 1. But nearly everything is improved, there is more exploration, more quests, better story, 3 factions to interact with, shops, base building, crafting and what's the most fun, tons of loot and turn based combat. I still recommend starting with first game before this one because in part two you will meet and interact with nearly 15 npc/survivors from first game. Game is also often on sale for like 5 bucks. I had funn in my 55h and there is still hardcore mode left to play one day with bunch of unlocks from normal mode. Big thumb up and waiting for Dead Age 3

Pretty fun for a while, but gets boring and repetitive fast. The balance isn't particularly good. Seems pointless to start with ranged weapons skills since bullets are so hard to come by at first. Pretty shallow overall. And the UI is frustrating. Like how in some cases the TAB key backs out instead of the ESC key, etc. Note: I played the first one too and for around the same amount of hours. Both interesting but since it's only ya or nay here (I'd give it a 6 out of 10 otherwise). It's not great at any particular thing. I think it's getting there. Will try DA3 if/when it's made. Just noticed: "Inspired by..Fallout 1+2.." So happens I'm one of the developers of Fallout #1 so it's nice to see, good to know :-)

The only zombie game where you can go into a papaya 😂 One of my favorite gaming experience of 2023! I enjoyed the first Dead Age and this sequel is even better! (I wish there was an option to remove grazing and blocking when attacking enemies, especially for 3AP attacks. Really unsatisfying when you do your powerful 3AP front-row blade attack and 2/3 of the enemies just block it or it grazes!!!)

On the one hand, this is the good jank. It's cobbled together from (what I presume are) unity store assets from the first game, and there's a bigger scope and some slightly more polished mechanics, but it's still the same small-numbers-and-resource-management zombie survival jrpg as Dead Age 1. On the other hand, Dead Age 2 is long, and a lot of it feels like grind. The game is an auto-saver with permadeath, and playing thoroughly and safely you might expect a 25+ hour runtime. This does encourage you to walk a fine line between overspending your healing items and losing characters, but also I had a party member get womboed from half health to dead 20 hours into my winning run, and if that happens to your main character and you haven't made a very expensive investment in a revival kit, that's 20 hours down the drain. The writing is also... not good. DA1 felt a little rough and a little translated, but still had some heart beneath that. DA2 feels like the strain of its scope and all of its possible branching plotlines kept it from being thematically about anything. Stories continue from DA1, but none of DA1's characters were all that memorable, and at one point near the end DA1 just forces you into a locked box where it can ignore your story choices for a while. It would have been a stronger game if it had tried to bite off less. There's also some bugs. Very few overall, considering this is a massively ambitious project by a very tiny studio, but a character who died randomly popped back up and was delivering dialog in my ending. In total, I'd recommend playing Dead Age 1 first, but if you liked that and you want to support big janky ambitious indiedev stuff, you should give this a shot.

the story is amazing!! I love all those politics and conspiracies!! you will "one more mission" to uncover the truth.. this is not an ordinary turn based rpg zombie game. the decision you make, the side quests you take will have consequences on your story.. the only downside: -no manual save; -can not retreat or run; -can not heal other character in battle.
