  Great couch co-op game, play it together with your girlfriend and two controllers.

From time to time I like the slightly shortened games for in between. [b]I think, no matter which Tomb Raider it is, the games are always implemented in a terrific way and perfectly balanced.[/b] Even the very old Tomb Raider games that were groundbreaking for the time. They do their job extremely well. Can’t be said otherwise. In the 14 different levels you have no open game world or great freedom because the paths are relatively prescribed. Away from the numerous opponents, the game offers, as always, varied levels and puzzles. From sliding to falling puzzles, everything is included here, even if they are not that demanding. But it is absolutely fine.   Started playing this game today with my wife. We're having great fun. So much synergy between the two controllable characters, where you really need to work together to get across each level. Would recommend it to anyone looking for shared-screen couch co-op experience!! I must also add that there is a single player option too, so everyone can give it a play.

  Even though this is a spin-off and not a main Tomb Raider entry, this game is pretty Tomb Raider-tastic. Lara hunts down an artifact no one should wield and sets off apocalyptic events that only she can stop? YEP. Plenty of shooting of natural and supernatural enemies in well-paced fight encounters? YEP. Lots and lots of booby traps to avoid, disarm, or survive? YEP. Puzzles that usually involve timing, platforming and typical Lara acrobatics? YEP. Smartass one-liners and quips from Lara almost everytime she opens her mouth? Yep. Well-placed and often hidden collectibles? Yep. MANY, MANY GUNS? YEP. Tomb raiding? You bet! The controls are snappy and responsive, the puzzles and platforming are very satisfying, and ultimately pretty much everything about the gameplay is rewarding in some way. Every level has a handful of optional objectives you can try to complete for even more rewards -- such as artifacts or relics that boost your stats or combat ability in various ways. The game's visuals and audio both are actually a hell of a lot better than I expected, and I often found myself gleefully looking around to admire the level design or dancing around a boss in time with the boss stage's music. Bonus: You can play this with a friend, and the game even redesigns much of the levels' puzzles to accomodate 2 players. The second player character, Totec, CANNOT be played on his own, i.e. if you're playing on your own, Lara is your only option. But, well, she's the far cooler option anyway. :P A tip: Use a controller. The game only fully recognizes Xbox 360 type controllers but you can very easily fool it into accepting others by using a controller emulator (x360ce). Mouse and keyboard controls have much more precise aiming for shooting, but I found they just were too clunky for me for -everything- else.

  Honestly, I kinda liked the idea of Top-down shooter of Tomb raider for real, but this one had some flaws So the problem: 1) Platforming sometimes are annoying, your character sometimes likes to sky jump higher than you expected, so some challenges can be annoying. 2) So your puzzle room huh? Yeah, these are annoying ones, so if you messed up the criteria, you... guess what? You Had to Restart the Whole level ! Why not just make it a "Little Section" from the menu so you can erm, complete them next time? 3) Enemy variety is Susage.... too little, and they are the same, just different color, the spider are okay 4) Too Few Achievements 5) It.... lacks replayability, you don't wanna play the game again unless going for the 100%.. A 4/10 Only on a Huge Sale

  I found it a great addition to the series. The top-down view gameplay is awesome. The control scheme is great and the art style is good to look at. Quite short though. I enjoyed the co-op mode as well with my little brother. 8/10

  Whether you're playing co-op or playing it solo, this game is a lot of fun. Although the storyline and the dialogues are not that great it still is a pretty nice game with a lot of replayability, you can re-play it many times without getting bored. There are many weapons to unlock, including artifacts, army and even a new items and relics for Lara.
