Yikes. Requested a refund after running around for ten minutes and seeing no content. Nice looking world, but everything else from the limited character model to the lack of.... anything, means this game is far from ready to even be called early access. I got it on sale and it was still too much for what I got. Maybe it will get better and look more promising, but as it is presently? Hard pass.

To be honest the game is far from ready to bugs random crashes and wrong official server names. these devs have a lot to figure out... But on my time in the game i noticed the potential this game has. Lost Region can be just as great as all the other amazing survival titles like H1Z1 and Dayz. One day i suppose. BUT at this very moment in time. They should really focus on cutting that Roadmap in half and then come back to me for another opinion. Given time this game could be the greatest or just be another flop.

Bare bones game. Multiplayer not tried. Seem's like another release to create a cash flow will this game survive no idea. Was asked to look at the development of the game again after a major update. Start in the game menu which I assume will be more refined as time goes on, creating your character. seems a breeze with the slider options. Maybe more options will be added. Start in game not knowing what to do or where to go, I thought lets hit this tree nothing happened, thou I did like those custom grown square trees, so turned around and noticed a bush. Toddled off over where I was greeted with a few options press E or hold for more options. Proceeded to press E, then my character hastily put something into my pocket. Quickly pressed the inventory key to see what had been deposited into my rucksack. Twigs oh!, "suppose I will see what they could be used for". After closing my inventory I went back to the question of the bush. Hold E for option which I did and my character kept putting twigs into my inventory with no other options visible. Maybe that is the option but not clearly defined who knows. After looking to see if anything was about human or animal there clearly was nothing in sight, just trees, bushes thou it did look pleasing to the eyes. Took out my map, was surprised to see a lot of question marks. What are these I thought, "maybe they have not thought up of their names". Closed the map looked at the screen only to notice three icon top left corner, a heart shape, a lung or the shape of a stomach turned side wards not sure thou, lastly a water droplet. After a while they started to change colour ooh something's bitten me I thought, then I started to see the light getting darker and darker that's all I can remember. to be continued.. Other things to do. There has been quite a bit of progress on the game, crafting is still in the early states of development I assume with more to come, Graphics are okay, the in game sound effect makes you feel your out in the wilderness. Game still stutters on my system which is annoying but acceptable. Keep up the good work..

I cant recommend this game right now. There are to many things that don't work or are clipping through other things. There are things you cant even drop without crashing the game and the game for the most part is empty of any life. It was released way to early and probably should of stayed in development for another half a year to a full year. I do love the potential though.

Summary: I got extremely bored in the first 10 minutes with no direction and no options. I wasn't able to communicate using my mic instead using chat (I find pretty not useful). When I clicked on a server it took 20 secs to get in, a delay. Floating Items. Can't see a list of player names. Mediocre. It's another hyped up survival game in which the developers say "We are not satisfied with its current status and we are constantly working to improve it. So if you found a bug / bugs, please send information about it to us." I know its Early Access as the developers know, but why release it if not satisfied? I believe its too late to make this game hyped up since it has too many bugs and will take another year to fix. Save your money for New Frontiers perks.

I thought I'd give it a shot despite the "Mostly Negative" reviews. You know literally every other early-access survival sandbox on steam? Imagine they all got together and had a massive orgy. Lost Region is the pile of sweat and fluid they left behind. It's not even worth it to go into the individual things wrong with this game. However my best, brief summary of this game is "Baby's first survival sandbox". It wants to be like all the other survival sandboxes, but doesn't do even a single thing competently. Don't let the halfway decent graphics fool you, the dev(s) have UE4 to thank for that. Also, while I can't tell for sure, I'm almost 99% certain most if not all the assets are prefab's, likely off the UE4 store. Bottom line; Even if it were free, it's not worth it.

Empty world, nothing to do, nothing to loot etc etc

Don't waste your time. The servers aren't fit for public testing, the content isn't there. This needs a good six months of constant patching, and given their decision to release in early access this early, I don't know that the project will make it that far. I wish the team the best of luck, but from a consumer standpoint, it's a waste of time and money.

Early Access. The dev's have been VERY responsive to any questions/bugs via discord. If you're gonna get the game now, get it to with knowledge that it is still being worked on. Looks good so far, lots of detail and area to explore.
