  My time with this game has been great so far, though It does not run the level editor well, which is kind of disappointing. Maybe its my Pc being garbage, or it could very well be the game's fault. I will have to look further into it. Pros: 1. It's a fun, well made platform fighter, with tons of replay value, and a good starting roster. (I love Granite :) ) 2. Feels fluid and fast, without being over cumbering and braindead, unlike NASB. 3. Level editor is packed to the brim with fluid and cool things to tweak to your character. Cons: Game is somewhat buggy, (As to be expected) No online, at the moment. While great so far, I do think that the Character Creator could be tweaked to run better. Also this game is 20 bones, for an unfinished game. I would recommend this game, especially if you have Parsec, which allows you to play online with friends. Maybe if you don't feel like paying 20 bucks for it right now, you can wait till the game releases. But even with it's flaws, It's still a great time, with friends, or by yourself. I will be spending a lot of time in the character editor, that's for sure. This is worthy enough to be called "Super Smash Maker" in my book.

  The character editor is a wonderful, insanely easy to use tool and it is an over all fun game. While creating characters, or using characters in matches, you are very likely to encounter bugs, perhaps gamebreaking, but it is understandable. Bugs are routinely stamped out when necessary, especially the game breaking ones. So far, at the time of writing this (343 hours), I have uploaded 4 characters, three of which are characters of existing franchises; the fourth was my original creation. That might not seem like a lot, but with the amount of hours I've put in, testing and adjusting, and just playing around with others, it certainly takes a long long time. If you've ever wanted to create a character, or liked messing with modifiers in Smash Brothers, or your favourite character didn't get into Ultimate, I really recommend looking into this game.

  NICE ( • w • ) A great variety of tools to customize your own characters as you wish, and also, being as simple as it can. This game is a true CHAD when it comes to making your own fighters.

  More fun and more accessible than MUGEN, and the folks on the Discord are super helpful if you ever get stuck. If you've ever wanted to make your own fighting game, or even just your own fighting game characters, what are you waiting for?

  Smack Studio delivers on exactly what it promises: A tight platform fighter with a good foundation of mechanics (including some new ones) that shines the brightest in it's character creation. The versatility and simplicity of it's character creator allows you to let your craziest ideas be realized without having to learn an entire programming language to do it. When the online multiplayer releases, I will be investing significant time in testing my wacky creations against my friends!

  With smack studio you get two things. the first is a solid smash-bros like platform fighter game where you can compete with varied characters brought to life by a team of skilled artists and designers, or play casually with community created original characters and reimaginings of your favorites. the second is a feature rich studio for designing characters using a unique and intuitive bone rigging system that reinterpritates your drawing in psuedo-3D. This is used to make characters for Smack Studio of course, but I find it an amazing tool by itself. You can pose and export your rig as a sprite sheet which can then be used anywhere else. If your someone less than confident with your art skills, but you want to create, this program is right for you. It lets you do more, and do it easily and quickly. And its a hell of a lot of fun.

  Smack Studio is a gem of a game that blends platformer fighting with the creative joy of character design. This game features a comprehensive character customization tool that allows you to craft and animate your own fighters. Anyone can upload their custom characters to the Steam Workshop or download someone else's masterpiece of a fighter. The pixel art visuals on a 3D background are beautiful, reminiscent of Octopath Traveler. As of now, the game only has a local multiplayer option or a CPU to fight, but the online multiplayer should be coming soon. Overall, it's a great game and tool to try out for anyone seeking a super customizable and visually appealing 2D platformer sandbox experience.

  The character creator is super easy to use the developer provides youtube videos that help you get started - along with further support in their discord. I only had it for 4 days and already made 2 characters. Its very seamless.

  Has potential. I Love the character creation system, very unique and somewhat easy for a newbie. Love the designs of the default characters, Combat is a bit iffy but better than most side fighters I've played. I can see all of the creativity that can come from this game and I hope the devs make what they are going for. Game dev is hard man lol. The game NEEDS polish obviously. Some hits don't feel like they connect,There's not much to do YET, the controller Controls feels off, Character movement feels weird and you have a chance of just running off.

  So I was initially pretty skeptical of the game. I saw a Youtube short that showed it off and I remember thinking "There's no way its that simple" So I bought it and holy crap it is super simple to just make a character and go. I can't really speak much on the actual fighting aspect of the game but in terms of the character creation tool it is super well done and I am very excited to see how it improves. I have experience working in 3D modeling software so the bones and rigging wasn't very difficult for me to comprehend but there are a few things I would like to see maybe a video on in the future. -First off I think a tutorial on making a character from scratch would be really helpful since it took me a while to get that ball rolling but again I'm experienced so it didn't take long. -Second I still don't exactly know if there is a way to remove the black border on characters or not. -Lastly when it comes to the testing mode I think it would be nice to have a longer stage in the demo since I want to try and see how my combos look but the dummy falls of the stage after only 2-3 hits. Either having an option for a fully flat stage or just a longer one without platforms could be helpful. Overall I can't wait to see how this game improves and I really hope more people are able to see this because the tech in this thing is insane! And thanks to the devs for being interactive with their community here's to hoping it grows much larger for the full release.
