This is a very cute game. I am very pleased with my purchase at $0.84USD. I hope that we can get cute point shop items and more levels and more achievements.

There are a lot of levels you need to get through before seeing every art pieces the game has to offer, so you won't be done with the game in like 30, 45 minutes. And the later levels are borderline impossible if you don't type really well. And there is a bug that cause the game to spawn ungodly amount of enemies on the screen, but restarting the level generally resolve the issue. The problem isn't big, just annoying. But the art is really nice, so it really isn't too bad. If you are having too much trouble, using Cheat Engine to slow down the game helps a lot. Very nice game.

Even at less than a buck, I would give it a skip. Not great as a typing game, and at halfway through the game I haven't seen any nudity. As a typing game it's frustrating, overlapping words makes it hard to read the letters, some monsters that walk across the screen block out words for the monsters above them, and if two words on the screen start with the same letter, you'll start typing one, but get locked into typing another without realizing it, so you lose a precious second or two realizing what's happening and finding the word you're locked into, or hitting the spacebar to free yourself from the word you're locked into. Also, minor point, but "obs", "4" and a few others I've forgotten are not words, and maybe think about removing "rape" as a word as well. I got about 1/2 through the game before I lost a level, went back to the menu, poked around, and didn't find any nudity, so if it's in there, it's hidden pretty well or at the end of a frustrating game. Long story short, don't bother paying $.84 to play a "meh" typing game and then search for hidden lewds, save the few cents and just look them up on the internet for free.

After further playing I realized that you have to download the DLC (free) to see the images. There is still a problem with overlapping words but pressing spacebar allows you to switch to other words.

TL;DR: It's not a bad typer game but it is a bad hentai game since there's nothing really lewd about it and the lewd content you unlock feels like an afterthought on the gameplay. The gameplay isn't awful, but advertised with various hentai tags seems to indicate that the lewds were the product, and the product feels like shelved material. + Typing isn't difficult and is done fairly well + The available artwork is competent and I think is done fairly well + Can play as multiple characters (it's just an aesthetic, but I like that feature) - No lewd content in the game itself, only in the gallery fully unlocked after 73 levels - "Resume" button on the main menu actually means "Reset" - Occasional bugs can make the game feel frustrating, especially if enemies decide not to die when they should - You can lock onto targets that aren't on the screen yet, which can cause confusion - Honestly just feels like the gameplay loop is more grindy than progression --------------------------------------------- Typer Girl is a typing game (big shock, right?) where enemies flood in from the right side of the screen and you type the word or letter combination (and sometimes numbers) above their head in order to shoot projectiles at them and defeat them. Defeating them allows you to progress onto the next wave in a seemingly endless set of waves that only very slowly increase in speed and frequency, but not really in word difficulty. The thing is, the game is a functional typing game but given the 18+ DLC and the fact that it's very clear that it's advertising itself as a Hentai game, it is not a functional hentai game. That is, during the gameplay, there is no lewd content in even the slightest. Some of the words might have some swears or relate to body parts on occasion, but that's really it. None of the enemies look lewd, the girls you can play as don't look lewd, the environments aren't, the words really aren't... the only thing lewd is that in the gallery, depending on how far you've gotten, you can look at some pictures of random girls with clothes on, without a top on, and fully naked covered in what I assume is melted ice cream since they're so clumsy. If you want to unlock all of the art, you've gotta clear 73 levels in total. If you want to clear all achievements, expect to need to clear 95 levels and take about 3 hours with the game doing the exact same monotonous typing task the entire time. As you clear certain milestones, you're going to unlock additional characters to "play as," although this is nothing more than an aesthetic swap as different characters do the exact same thing, there are no special abilities or anything like that. It's neat to have, but don't expect it to assist you at all. It would have been neat if some characters had abilities or passive effects like speeding up enemies, slowing down enemies, or abilities where you can pause enemies in their place for a few seconds if you needed it. Alas, no such thing exists here. If you care about the gameplay that much, well, it's not too bad. It's easy enough. If you type well, enemies won't ever really make it to even half way across the screen even in the very very late levels and word difficulty doesn't really go beyond like 6 or 7 letters ever, so it's not like the words are difficult. Some of the words on the screen overlap with each other which is a visual annoyance since you have to wait for them to move away from each other. Sometimes you'll end up typing the letters of another enemy that you didn't mean to target and your flow will be messed up, so you have to hit Space (which it reminds you to do very often) to stop locking on to that enemy. You can also target enemies that haven't even made it onto the screen yet, which is very annoying since you may not even know you are locked onto a target and may think that the game bugged out. Speaking of bugs, I can't say that I encountered too many game breaking ones. I did notice that if you pause the game when an enemy is in their dying animation, they're likely to stay on the screen until the end of the match, which can be humorous when you've just stacked corpses in a single spot. I did encounter an issue at one point where I lost a level because enemies weren't dying when I typed the word above their head, meaning I had cleared every enemy on the screen but they still beat me because they decided they were actually going to be immortal. This is frustrating but levels aren't especially long, so it wasn't a huge deal. Oh yeah, I also had an issue where I had one enemy left and it took them almost a solid minute to actually show up on the screen, so I don't know what that was about. The menu is easy enough to navigate, however I did notice one major issue with the title screen (which it does give you a warning about at least) where the "Resume" button actually means "Reset" and if you aren't paying attention to the warning on the screen, you may end up resetting your entire progress when you intended to resume your spot. I imagine there have been people playing that gave up because of accidentally resetting their progress. This is more of a nitpick than anything and not something I fault the game for, but most of the enemies indeed seem violent in some capacity in whatever their goal is. Others are... dancers, farmers, and people in cute bear costumes. It's a small nitpick, but it feels weird striking down what appears to be random innocents at times. In the end, Typer Girl is a typing game that works fairly well but whose stance as a lewd game is in serious question. If it didn't seem to advertise itself as such and just maintained being a cute anime-stylized typing game, I'd think it'd be fairly good. The hentai additions feel sloppily added and so far out of the way of the gameplay that it just feels so last minute and like they didn't actually want it there in the first place. In the future, it'd be awesome if the developer(s) went farther with the 18+ addon content and really made it the theme of the game rather than something tucked away in a corner somewhere. Or just don't have it at all if you don't want it there.

    Synopsis

Typer Girl is a typing game.

    Gameplay

Four rows of attackers come from the right side of the screen. You must type the word / letters above their head to dispatch them. The letters above the head of the attacker will change from light blue to dark blue. This is important for a couple of reasons. Reason one it shows you what letters you need to type next. Reason two you can attack attackers who are not on the screen, this may happen if you hit an extra letter. Reason three, if two attackers have the same starting letter, you may not be attacking the one you thought you were. You can either continue typing or press the space bar to unlock your attack. Your attack will relock when you type the next correct letter. As the levels increase, so does the length of the words and the number of attackers. This is not a typing trainer, a lot of the content is heavily left handed. Some of the words may be offensive to some people, negro being one that stuck out that didn't have a second meaning, unlike cock. I played to level 74 to unlock all of the content and there were only a few levels where I had issues. However, I type somewhere between 50 and 60 words per minute. The Resume option on the main menu actually resets the game. The adult DLC is more of an addon, it isn't part of the game. The adult content is unlocked by unlocking the different characters you can play as the main character. To access the content go to the Collect option and then the television in the upper right of the character. This will give you access to the image that goes with that unlock. There are three buttons at the bottom of the screen, a dress, a bow, and a heart. The dress is fully clothed, the bow is partially clothed, and the heart is unclothed.

    Final Verdict

If you're looking for an inexpensive typing game the game graphics are cute and well done. The adult content is really just images you unlock by playing.

When I was six, I was locked in my room and forced to type an hour every day so that I would become an accomplished typist. I did it, mom. I average 130wpm - I've been training for a decade to engage in the quality content known as TYPER GIRL and all I gotta say is go play the textorcist instead
