  My company assigned me to a new department, so now I sell guns and ammunition for a living. This package has been very helpful in providing context so I can understand new product as it comes in to the store. I also appreciate the opportunity to understand the proper vocabulary as I learn. Being able to see how the parts interact has helped me to understand the benefits of different types of designs, and that helps me identify what models will be suitable for the needs of each customer. My dad and I get a kick out of checking out the historical models too! The only thing I alter is that I play my own choice of music... but that's a very small thing in terms of the enjoyment and learning I've gained from this program. Keep up the great work, devs!

  Absolutely amazing how the devs managed to gather the schematics and workings of each and every firearm thus far, especially such unicorns as the AN-94, the NRS-2 Knife Gun, The Pancor Jackhammer, and the Beretta 93R. This is a very valuable and educational tool for those of us interested in firearms, especially if you can snag this full access pass on sale for 20 bucks. Very worth it.

  I use this game mostly as reference for drawing firearms. Getting this DLC will "unlock" every gun, so I really recommend it if you're looking for an encyclopedia of firearms with 3D models you can use as art references. I appreciate this running natively on Linux.

  Good reference pack for 3D modelling work if you prefer using other models in addition to photos as reference. Will be far more accurate than random models you find online.

  As a futur gunsmith, this game is really good practice and a real encyclopedia of firearms, the attention to detail is phenomenal.I Highly recommend it

  Review Updated 16th March 2017. Recommendation changed from Negative to Positive. Majority of reasons for original Negative recommendation have been addressed and corrected by the very active and supportive developer. Thanks to those changes I do now recommend this purchase to anyone with an interest in guns and or mechanical engineering. I would like to thank the Developer for listening to the community and thank the 318 people who supported the original review and in doing so spread our shared concerns to the developer. I would also like to thank the 13 people who found the review funny as well as the 76 people who couldn't get passed just how long winded and verbose it was, every like and dislike helped get the review noticed and the issues raised ultimately fixed. I have edited my original review below with new comments in [i]Italics[/i] and resolved issues [strike]Struck Through[/strike] and sometimes [spoiler]Hidden[/spoiler]. Pros:[list] [*]Unlocks all gun models for those who don't have the time to spend earning experience to unlock them for free. [i]New feature added to unlock models at players discretion instead of automatically unlocking all models allowing you to work through the models and earn them if you so choose[/i] [*]Unlocks all shooting ranges for those who don't have the time to spend earning experience to unlock them for free. [i]New feature added as above[/i] [*]Supports the developer and in doing so encourages further development of this title. [/list] Cons:[list] [*]Does not [b][i]YET[/i][/b] unlock any skeleton models forcing you to purchase those separately. [*]Does not [b][i]YET[/i][/b] unlock any vehicle models forcing you to purchase those separately. [*][strike]Does not allow offline play.[/strike] [i]New feature allows you to pre cache models when online and play those models offline. Obviously some features are unavailable in offline mode to prevent cheating but everything that you need to practice is available.[/i] [*][strike]Unlocks all shooting ranges making the earning of experience pointless.[/strike] [i]New feature allows you to choose when and which models you want to unlock and experience now plays a heavy part in the overall rankings.[/i] [*][strike]Unlocks all gun models making the earning of experience pointless.[/strike] [i]New feature as above.[/i] [*][strike]Unlocks all gun models removing the excitement of working your way toward that shiny new gun.[/strike] [i]New feature again as above.[/i] [/list] Let me preface this DLC review by making it absolutely clear how much I admire the base game, World of Guns is a brilliant concept near perfectly executed. It is not very often anything in the so called edutainment genre succeeds in either education or entertainment, this game not only excels in both but more than that is a genuinely worthwhile creation. I will go into greater detail of just why that is so in my review of the base game but this is a review of the DLC and [strike]sadly it is a negative one[/strike] [i]thanks to a deep engagement with the community by an incredibly active developer it is a positive one.[/i] [i]I strongly recommend you download and play the free base game before reading this review as the review itself is in specific relation to what the DLC does and does not add and will not cover all the features of the free base game.[/i] One of the most important elements of actual entertainment in this game is the earning of experience to unlock your next gun and or shooting range, particularly if you are a fan of a particular gun and plan out your unlocks to get you to that favoured gun as quickly as possible. The sense of satisfaction you feel when you finally reach it and the reward of seeing just how your favoured gun compares to those you had to slog through before it is genuinely rewarding and informative. [spoiler][strike]This DLC utterly ruins that aspect of gameplay and in doing so heavily undermines the game itself. I know that on the surface of it that seems like a complaint about the DLC doing exactly what it says on the box but the point is it could have done so in a way that did not entirely undermine a major gameplay aspect of the title. Instead of automatically unlocking all guns it could have simply made all purchases through the catalogue free thereby giving access to the particular gun or range when needed without removing the gratification of actually earning things the hard way for those so inclined.[/strike][/spoiler] [i]This DLC retains that aspect of Gameplay by making model and range unlocks free to FULL ACCESS owners but not actually automatically unlocking them. This allows you to play the game as you want and retain if you so choose the gratification of actually earning things the hard way.[/i] [spoiler][strike]This particular negative however much I may personally dislike it is not alone enough for me to thumbs down the DLC after all it says quite clearly in the DLC page that it will unlock all guns so I can't down rate it for doing exactly that even if I strongly disagree with how it does it.[/strike][/spoiler] It is what the DLC does not unlock that [strike]forces me to give this DLC a thumbs down[/strike] [i]serves as the one negative in what is otherwise a now glowingly positive review.[/i] For a company and title that in its early stages seemed to exemplify what free to play should be like the [spoiler][strike]addition of skeletons and vehicles being available through purchase only[/strike][/spoiler] [i]limitation of credits and in particular the impossibility to earn enough of them to purchase even a small fraction of the total number of guns[/i] is a cruel and unexpected kick to the shins. For the Lifetime access DLC at its extremely high price not to include access to the skeletons and vehicles [i]and to not even be able to earn enough credits to unlock all skeletons and vehicles[/i] is a vicious kick to an even more sensitive part of the anatomy. [spoiler][strike]The final nail in the coffin of this DLC is a missed opportunity and that is the inclusion of offline play. It is a ridiculously easy thing for the developers to alter the game slightly allowing it to be run without an internet connection. Any gun model already played is stored on your local hard drive and the only online aspect of the game beyond the catalogue which is redundant when you have lifetime access and therefore own all guns already is the rankings which just aren't that important. I have purchased lifetime access, let me actually have lifetime access, not access dependant on whether or not your servers are down or my internet is down or I am on a road trip or at the range etc.[/strike][/spoiler][i] A fantastic new edition to the game is the inclusion of an offline mode. You can now pre cache models ahead of time when you are online, either one model at a time or the entire catalogue of unlocked models, then play offline anywhere by simply restarting the game without an active internet connection. This means you can now take your game with you to the range or on the bus or train or if you are game even on a plane.[/i] I purchased this DLC for one reason only and that is to support the developer of what is an innovative and worthwhile title distributed in a fair and reasonable fashion. [spoiler][strike]It is extremely disheartening therefore to find that the DLC is ill thought out, insulting in what it excludes and destructive of the gameplay experience in what it includes.[/strike][/spoiler] [i]Thanks to a deep connection by the developer with the community this game and the value for money of this DLC has increased and only continues to increase with time, whilst there are some small issues remaining I have faith that they will be corrected as long as this very positive community interaction continues.[/i] P.S. I have deleted 2 paragraphs of my original review due to character restrictions and irrelevancy as a result of the developer fixing the related issues.

  Fun but they broke their promise of the lifetime subscription by coming out with seperate pay packs not included in the lifetime subscription...

  Good. DLC gives you full access to every past, present and future gun released in the game. The Full Access Pass is a justifiable expense if you either: A. Value your time (Difficult grind otherwise) B. Have a genuine interest in the engineering C. Gunsmith/Armorer IRL D. Want instant gratification The models are excellent quality and exciting to watch/learn from. 10/10
