------------------------------------------------- I bought this because the game is on sale now and it looked fun to see streamers playing this game. I thought there would be a happy ending until the first and third plays. I was wondering if I was doing something wrong. Is there a way? I searched all the endings on YouTube, blogs, and Reddit, but I found that there was no happy ending. Still, I have completed all the challenges because I feel better when I clear them all. After seeing the line from the green skirt character at the beginning of the 8th ending, The message that the creator of this game wanted to talk about while insisting on such an unpleasant and annoying way was probably about the "border between reality and the game." Just because we engage in violent or immoral acts in the game does not mean that the pattern of behavior applies to reality. (Chatting abusive language and non-manneredness are social interactions, so they will be excluded from this topic.) GTA or Diablo cannot be said to stimulate the player's violence or obscure the player's moral judgment, and it cannot be concluded that real criminal behavior originates from the game. I think this game is proving the above facts. The reason why the evaluation of this game is low proves that fact. We have not physically harmed characters composed of 0 and 1 data, but most people feel unpleasant and accuse them of having no happy ending. If a moral lack had been found in an individual, the game would not have been triggered but would have emerged in some way. The social and moral values that have been accumulated for decades are not so fragile that they are collapsed and corrupted by a few games. It's a 5 dollars game review to put it mildly.

Anything you'll read about this one is going to spoil the whole premise of the game so beware from this point onwards. After seeing "Who's Lila", which is a game with a presumably interesting premise that I've yet to play, I wanted to check out the devs' earlier games and this one was also interesting -mostly because of the art style and the premise- and was on sale on top of that so I quickly picked it up and finished it (%100) in like an hour or so. Gotta say while the premise is interesting it gets old incredibly quickly. Cute graphics and different endings make up for the repetetiveness only so much after all. They try to throw in some ideas but never actually expand on them and the true/final ending with the monologue/message feels forced, at least to me. I don't really like to judge indie games, especially semi-experimantal games like this one on a price to value basis but I can't fully recommend it without any amount of discount, except if you strictly want to support the devs on their future endeavours, so a mild suggestion from me. However I'll probably also pick up Who's Lila -preferably also with a discount but anyways- because compared to this one it looks like it both has a creative idea behind it and seems like the devs doubled-down on it to make it reach it's full potential, I'll see.

I wanted to like this game, I bought it despite the review score and the warnings in the reviews and I thought "Y'know what, maybe it's trying tell something, not every story needs a good ending." Well, it IS trying to say something, there is some intended meaning behind this I think, but it's not conveying it very well. I initially, after reading the reviews, thought this would be a game about the fact that sometimes, you just can't help others no matter how hard you try and you have to accept that. But no, this is a story of abuse and you're the abuser, and that is the fact you have to accept in this game. No matter what you try to do, there won't be a good ending, which is fine like I said, not every story needs to have good endings but the problem here is the way it's framed. "YOU killed the poor little girl" the game says, "YOUR ATTENTION could've saved her but YOUR NEGLECT killed her!", all the while actively preventing you from NOT abusing the said poor little girl. The game doesn't give you a choice on how much you interact with your T-Gotchi or for how long. Even if you treat her the best way available in the time you're given, the game then forces you to abandon her for weeks (of in-game time) which ultimately leads her to depression and suicide. You can't choose to spend more time with her. For the other 7 endings I assume you have to abuse her in other ways, but I don't want to do that so I can't talk about those endings. Not every story needs a good ending, not everyone can be saved, not all games are made to feel you good. But at the same time, not giving a player choice in a story where they are one of the characters and then blaming them for the choices they didn't make it straight up bad game design. If you want to write an abuse story, just write a story. Another reviewer put it much shorter than I have: "The only way to win is not to play. So ya instant win if you don't buy this game." Even if you like generally depressive games, games with darker tones or games that tackle heavy subjects like I do, I don't recommend it. There are much better options out there and you'll not be missing anything profound.

You have no ability to spend more than a few minutes per "day" with her, so its impossible for her to survive for more than a few "days". You play the part of a neglectful owner and can't do anything about it and the few outcomes are all from forms of neglect. For such a simply presented game it desperately needs more outcomes and paths. I like the aesthetic and the idea but it's hard to be kind in a review for a game that should cost a tenth of what it does. The price is shameful.

if you miss the dates in the bottom-left corner (which you likely will. considering the color pallet), you will most likely think this character is just a needy, manipulative bitch trying to make you feel bad for not spending 24 hours a day playing a virtual pet game. ironically, this game is about the PLAYER being abusive. once you get past that, you're just stuck doing whatever horrible thing you can think of to this low-poly anime girl. there's a niche for those sorts of sadist games, but even within that niche, this is just boring. it constantly teases you with the idea of some larger story, but there's not enough there to justify not going deeper into it. this game's fate was sealed in my eyes when i actually said the Eight Deadly Words out loud.

It takes a very specific person to enjoy or at the very least get through the psychological torment you are forced to put this fictional digital girl through. However it was worth it to me to get all the endings since some of them actually appeased to a sense of story behind the "world" of tgotchi. It's not for everybody but it has it's charm.

Woot!

Hours of Gameplay Two or three hours.

Modding Support? No.

Patch Available? No, not necessary.

Your amazing T-Gotchi! is a visual novel about a newfangled, virtual pet with a disturbing story.
Gameplay
Feed, bath, and talk to your new cute green anime girl from your dandy T-Gotchi! She's a sweet little thing, and all she asks is that you feed her twice a day, keep her clean, and remind her she's alive. Your amazing T-Gotchi! plays like a brief visual novel, each playthrough only minutes in length. However, the story behind your pet girl is much like an onion, a tale with many layers to peel away. . . but sometimes, it's best to walk away.
Story
Honestly, I don't want to spoil the story. I would be doing this game (and your experience) a disservice by recounting my playthrough, and to get the most out Your amazing T-Gotchi! you should enter the game with no pre-existing knowledge. Get to know the protagonist, and make mistakes — there are eight endings to see, and it won't take long for your meet your second playthrough. On a serious note, this game is surprisingly dark and though interesting, I wouldn't exactly call it "fun". If you are interested in my recount of my first eight playthroughs, consider reading my "full length review".

To read the full length "Story", check this review out on Wombat Trap (dot-com).

Visuals
The titlescreen is super stylistic, using the T-Gotchi itself as the means to start a new game or view endings. While you can view what endings you have unlocked, you can't actually view what content they contain (which is a shame, but thematically appropriate.) You may adjust audio and display preferences from the "gearbox" icon at the bottom left of the titlescreen. Otherwise, you may adjust audio preferences from the in-game "menu" icon at the bottom-right of the screen. The user-interface is a delight, and loved loved the visuals all around. - The Goods- Technically, there's nudity, but all I saw was a bare booty and a nippy slip. The main character is super cute, but Your amazing T-Gotchi! is not a lewd game. Don't be expectin' nothin' saucy if you buy this game!
Verdict
Yes, I recommend this game! But. . . it's not for the faint of heart, that's for sure. The thing is, Your amazing T-Gotchi! involves taking care of a hapless woman, and whatever happens to her lies squarely on you. If (and when) something happens to your beloved anime girl, you'll have to look into her eyes once again the moment you hit "Get a New One!" Gee, just clicking get a new one makes me feel dirty inside. . . and to think I was playing a lewd game!

To read the full length review, click here!

Support the Wombat
<3 Follow the Wombat Trap Curator page for more reviews! Your Amazing T-Gotchi! is a game about compromise, yes compromise. Compromise that ANIME is suffering, at some point you'll be at the whims of some isekai plot, alien furry animal mahou shoujo contract, holy grail war, or be part of the Cursed Bobstar Bloodline... or maybe you'll just be an anime girl in a Tamagotchi. Play this game if you want to experience the joys of all your "upbeat" anime again because this game has loads of it, you will not go wrong.
