Warning: Asset Flip! Zombie Clicker Defense is an asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated someone else's example/template/tutorial game, changed the name/reskinned a couple of things, and submitted it to Valve as if it was their own game. It's a basic asset flip from a soldier/tower defense template where you just spam buttons on the top of the screen to spawn waves of soldiers that fight the waves of enemies coming at you. That's all there is to it, incredibly shallow. This game asset has been dumped on the web as a browser game a couple of times, you can play it for free as "Base Defense" or "Farmers vs Zombies". This asset flipping should be no surprise given the prior criminal record of this developer: Bitlock Studio/LillyWelland inc. have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself: <*> "Agross" = Agricola Unity developed by Michael Kasprzyk <*> "Froggo" = Road Crossing Game Template developed by Puppeteer <*> "Pet Puzzle" = Simple match-three animals puzzle developed by CATLOGIC <*> "Pixelfence" = Pixel Tower Defense Prototype developed by Kirill Nadezhdin <*> "SnL" = Snakes And Ladders Multiplayer developed by Moe Baker <*> "TacTikk" = Make An Assassins Board Game in Unity developed by Wilmer Lin <*> "Eon Fleet" = Space Ace Shooter Game Template developed by Puppeteer <*> "Find Your Way" = Polygon Western - Low Poly 3D Art Pack developed by Synty Studios <*> "Pixelord" = Pixel Runner developed by Deer Cat <*> "Thunderbolt" = Smash Way Hit Pyramids developed by Andrew Oleynik <*> "Thunderbolt 2" = Smash Way Hit Pyramids developed by Andrew Oleynik <*> "School of Horror" = School Scene developed by Tirgames Assets <*> "Snakeez" = Modern Snake oooO - Complete Game Template Ready For Release developed by App Advisory <*> "Star Sweet" = Jewels Star Match 3: Full 298 Levels developed by Thong Van Tran <*> "Tactical Ops" = Top Down Shooter Characters Pack developed by Gears & Brains Labs <*> "The Thing: Space X" = 80's Shoot'em Up Kit developed by ETI Software <*> "Weaving" = Wavy Trip developed by SgLib Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic 2D art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Without any other substantial graphics tweaks, it's not possible for gamers to improve the lacklustre 2D visuals. The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just point and click stuff like a browser/Flash game. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. It's also important to note the "developer" here has connections to a number of shady Russian asset flippers and review manipulators who show an organised pattern to scam and defraud gamers with fake reviews and asset flipping the work of others for profit. While reviews are about the games, gamers should be informed when developers act unethically. Whether these connections are the same developer using multiple accounts, or just working closely with other unethical developers, gamers should be warned about the harm to gamers by this developer and their associates. Buying games from unethical developers puts your money at risk. Zombie Clicker Defense is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend.

Game is pretty fun, but there isn't that much going on, and after level 3 the game seems to just stop working and no zombies or whatever seem to come anymore. Unsure if its broken or what but figured id put this in, overall with some good updates it could be really good. But as is now its a little broken since nothing spawns past level 3. For the low price its not bad for a clicker game either. But untill i can get past level 3 i cannot recommend this.

Game is terrible. It is not clicker or idle. It is just very simple game which can be done in one day. Nothing to do there. You know the game after approximately 10 minutes and there is nothing new to discover. I dont know why Gaben allow this kind of microgames be a part of Steam. It looks like 99,9% of the games on Steam are craps like this one. We only wasting time trying to find something playable. Shame Gaben - shame!

This was fun for a hour and if you keep hitting restart you can replay the first level over and over and get one gem to upgrade each time but that is as far as you can get. Hope they update this because it can be a lot of fun and maybe implement a clicker to kill monsters as well and i would like to see the enemies side as well !! Keep up the work guys/gals !!

Level 1: Easy. Level 2: Ever so slightly harder. Level 3: Not but getting old now. Level 4: This is getting kinda hard now, and I still don't know what I'm doing. Level 5: How the H*** am I going to beat this level? Before I even have enough money to buy more than four of the first unit I am dead. That is very bad level design. A few things I would add: - an easy/normal/hard mode. - zombie book so we can see what the stats of each zombie we face is. - Each level should have a set number of zombies or have the zombies spawn from a house/small town/barn/fort on the screen that way our units don't just die when they leave the screen. ((I'm guessing the dev didn't do that because he/she couldn't figure out how to get the units to stop at the zombie's span. Just a guess.)) - get rid of the stat upgrade system you have now and give each unit an upgrade that cost maybe 5 gems and it goes up by 5 after each upgrade, when a unit gets an upgrade it changes looks and gets a boost to stats. - give each wave a different Background and spawn house. Do I recommend this game? As of right now, no. There are far better games that play a lot like this for cheap if not free. One off the top of my head would be 'The Last Stand' on Newgrounds, it's free, it has a story as well as very similar gameplay but better. If you are looking for a clicker game then give this game a very hard pass. It is not a clicker game by any means. A clicker game would be like 'Cookie Clicker' or 'Adventure Capitalist'. Save your time and money and go find a better game.
