Lato-lato is a unique toy. This toy became popular in the United States (US) in the 1960s.

The shape is simple, how to play it is quite easy. All you have to do is shake the string, then make the two pendulums clash against each other to produce sound.

How to play lato-lato is quite easy, just swing it up and down, hitting each other very hard, causing a loud "clack" sound. Lato-lato is similar to bolas, an Argentine weapon, formed from two solid polymer balls, each about 2 inches (5 cm) in diameter, attached to a sturdy rope with a handle in the middle. The player holds the center of the string connecting the balls and through an up-and-down motion of the hands makes the two balls swing apart and back together, creating the clacking sound that gave the toy its name. With enough practice, one can make the balls swing so that they hit each other both above and below the hands.

Swinging clackers can be a joy in itself. The clackers player first needs to make sure the two balls he is swinging are moving in opposite directions, hitting each other under his hands. After that, once the momentum is built, the swing can be made up to 180 degrees, so that the ball also hits the top of the hand.
