Reading becomes an adventure with the adorable Antura dog. Find hidden Arabic letters around the world, solve puzzles and win prizes. With Antura, children will be able to develop easily and gradually their knowledge of the language and read in Arabic. Plus, they can use the app anywhere and anytime because there is no need for Internet access!

This free game is great for kids who want to learn Arabic letters and words. Basic knowledge of the Arabic language may be required to play Antura and the letters.

This version of the game is an adaptation specially designed for the Moroccan public with the support of the Touria & Abdelaziz Tazi Foundation: the history and game directions are presented in Moroccan Arabic (Darija).

Winner of the international competition EduApp4Syria, "Antura and Letters" is a free and fun game on smartphone. It combines the best of entertainment technology with Arabic educational and practical content for children aged 5 to 10 years old. Reading becomes a captivating experience. Antura was created to help children who can not go to school, to allow them to play and learn Arabic easily and for free.

In collaboration with educators and psychologists, the development team has turned the curriculum of learning Arabic elementary into a fun adventure. Children evolve at their own pace, step by step. Each success is rewarded with colorful objects. Children can then use these items to customize Antura and make it unique. The impact of this game on improving reading has been measured successfully through several Playtests and a third party independent study. They concluded that the game "Engages and involves children without distinctions of age, gender or literacy level".

This project was funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and developed by the Cologne Game Lab, Video Games Without Borders and Wixel Studios.
