Shanghai financial center 簡介

Shanghai world financial center is the economic center located in Shanghai, China, and opened to service as of August 2008. Its size is 377,300 m². The office consists of a 300-room luxury hotel, retail, gallery, and observation deck.

The theme of the sky in a circular shape within a square; Representing the Earth in Chinese mythology was one of the most critical factors that made this decision easier. However, this project was revised as the Chinese objected to the presence of a circle on this magnificent structure, considering it to represent the Japanese flag. Instead, the top of the skyscraper was built as trapezoidal in order to reduce the effect of the wind on the skyscraper.

There are durable bunkers on the twelfth floor of the Shanghai world financial center. Fire-resistant steel was used in the construction of the bunkers.
