  not worth the money. just a VR game with a bad PC port! Only recommend to play if you want to be insulted by the miss click!

  This game is really fun if you play with your party/friends. Funny moments with 'friendly fire', goofy monster voices, easy to learn gameplay makes the game fun to play on Friday's night. However, the game is very basic, I would say limited compared to other tabletop games. Main cons: - no RPG elements, no leveling your characters after finishing dungeon; - no lore, story, or any side quests - repeated maps, each dungeon is basically 3 sub-levels, which are very similar one to another - constant misclicking: game is designed for VR - overpriced as hell Overall, I wouldn't recommend buying this game. Only if you don't have anything else to play with your friend.

  beautifully designed and user friendly. Endlessly replayable and addictive - highly recommend to any table top or rpg fan.

  Have purchased multiple times because it's such a great game! Hero Quest Childhood relived. It's in between HeroQuest and Gloomhaven. Started with the VR version but gameplay is just faster in desktop.

  I've only played the PC Edition so I can't speak much to the VR elements. Overall it was fun playing with friends for a few sessions, but the novelty wears off quickly and you're left with a very basic tabletop adventure game. The Pros: captures the feeling of playing Hero Quest; procedurally generated levels; unlockable cosmetics (though takes a long time to acquire); VR/PC cross-play. The Cons: no meaningful character progression; low scenario variety; frustrating experience because of UI issues, bugs, and frequent misclicks; the miss chance on actions is very high and you often end up hurting allies.

  Great game if you have friends to play with. Other than that, if you don't play the way people in your random group tell you then you just get kicked from the game. Community has seemed to get more toxic people in it than I remember when picking this game up.

  Played through all the campaigns with friends. Game is very fun and challenging at times. Certain campaigns are more easily cleared playing a certain class, this causes some interesting theory crafting and feels great when you finally complete a campaign. The amount of card variety is fairly limited. Feels like there's only a handful of unique cards for a class which makes gameplay stale at times. Your hand usually consists of some health potions, and multiple copies of the same skill. Hoping that more cards are added over time to make the game even better

  Most mechanics and cards are explained poorly or not at all, so you basically just have to guess what effect playing a card will have. Luck is a factor in way too much of the game, especially miss chance. There's so much luck involved that trying to make a plan feels pointless. The enemy abilities are extremely powerful and frequently cause you to skip your entire turn - only balanced by how stupid and illogical the AI acts. There is no persistent progression beyond cosmetics so classes feel one dimensional and can't be customised. There are only 5 short campaigns, so even if someone did enjoy this game, it's still terrible value at $52 CAD. Gloomhaven is a similar but outrageously better game at a lower price. The only advantage Demeo has is simplicity (at the cost of any depth) and VR integration.
