  "Is it worth $10?" Note: this game has a "streamer mode" so you can share the wholesome experience with friends, neighbours, and family.

  Demon Speakeasy would be a tough recommendation from me, and here's why: The core gameplay is simple, although it does get repetitive, as it plays similarly to Va-11 Hall-A, but lacks the certain charm that Va-11 had. The overall art looks nice, and most of the characters are very well drawn; however, the CG scenes are barely animated (which is a real disappointment), and they tend to get into some fetishes/kinks that I'm not quite into, specifically foot stuff, furries, pregnancy. Also if you're into furry stuff, the only furry character in the game is by far the worst drawn, so heads up on that. All in all, I spent about 4 and a half hours to beat the core "game", and while some of the dialogue was funny and takes digs at the isekai/RPG world it's set in, it was unfortunately not worth it to reach the end, as the barely-there story just kinda falls flat. If you're coming here for deep world building and relatable characters, this ain't it, chief. Additionally, no disrespect to the VAs/creators, but the voice acting is all in Chinese, which may not be for everyone. Also, there are no Steam Cloud saves as far as I can tell, and playing this on the Steam Deck didn't seem to allow the second playthrough's use of a code to unlock all the CG, which is pretty annoying, meaning I'd have to grab my cleared save from the deck and manually move it to my PC. Not cool. The one thing I will give a nice thumbs up to is the inclusion of a Stream-Friendly mode, which is neat if you plan on giving people insight to what the game is like without the banging. I'd give it a thumbs up if they managed to get some patch in to improve the animations or include tweening in scenes or something, but when games like Mirror, Glass, or any of the Sakura series games exist, you can get what this game lacks for the same price or less.
