  This is certainly an evocative experience, but holy fuck MY EYES Most deserved strobe warning in human history, this game has some of the harshest flashing lights I've ever seen. That's what makes the experience so unique, I suppose, but know what you're getting into. This thing is not afraid to absolutely bombard you with light and sound.

  Short walking sim. Really nice aesthetics, good sound design and liminal vibes. My eyes hurt a bit though. Don't play if you dont like flashing lights.

  Huh. I was planning to give this a negative review until I got near the end. If you appreciate David Lynch films, you may enjoy this short experience.

  Decent little walking sim that feels mostly like a tech demo about lightning especially heavy strobophobic effects. If you can't handle those, this game is not for you. Otherwise it's all right if you get it in sale as it is really short (10 minutes).

  Harsh yet artful audiovisual performance piece with heavy use of strobelights and bassy, crisp sounddesign. A 15 minutes club rave rush, butalist and kinda frightening, yet really cool. I was on the edge of my seat, didn't know what to expect, so used to strobelights from horrorgames, associated with sudden jumpscares. But in "Kristallijn", this style is instead used for impressive freeze-frames of elaborate movements. A concrete club in the middle of nowhere, all blinding lights or darkness, with some rare and poignant touches of colour along the grey way. Keep your eyes peeled for two slightly less obvious ways, because even if you really appreciate this you might not want to revisit it too soon. (7.5(+)/10) Also reminiscent of "Koma" in terms of length, style and concept, just without the performance issues.

  Honestly, a shocker from start to finish. The way this game manipulates lights and short looped movements is incredible. I adore the simplicity and how anxiety inducing this game gets, but the ending...hits too close to home. You get in such a loop of pausing and waiting for things to move and see where you need to go, then the ending breaks you out of that cycle and its just. 100/10. Cmon, you have 3 dollars to spare, just play it and experience the wonderful work that is kristallijn :)

  It's intense. A neon-brutalist nightmare. Had me shivering in a good way. I think I need to go take a walk to process it. Heavy. Uncanny. Not for everyone.

  Such a remarkable play with light// sound and an art game par excellence. In some next project, perhaps even further exploring the superimposed realities/views, that was kind of exciting. Thanks for this interesting experience. Highly recommended for friends of experimental spaces.

  Kristallijn is an interesting experience that takes roughly 30 to 40 minutes to complete. This is one of those games, maybe sort of like "Emporium," whose meaning can be hard to decipher and subject to different interpretations. It takes place at a club--the place looks close to being deserted--in what would appear to be the outskirts of a southwestern town or city. Anyway, the lights are on and the music is playing but no one is home except for you and a solitary, mute female dancer. You follow her--or is she following you?--through winding corridors and chambers. It's a sinister, menacing atmosphere and the music is well suited to the surroundings throughout. There are scenes when you can get close enough to make eye contact, however fleeting, with the dancer and it's very weird. It would seem she's a lonely, troubled person but at the same time it's as though she feels completely "at home" inside the club setting. It's just a weird, sublime experience and the ending is jarring. The game is quite short for the price but this is also a highly unusual game that takes you to an interesting place. It depends on what you look for in games. If you like things that are surreal and dark and weird then I'd say definitely pick this up.

  It feels like what you imagine being an insane sociopathic murderer is like .. Or waking up and finding yourself the victim of an insane sociopathic murderer. There are no jump scares, but sometimes it feels like the entire experience is a jump scare As someone who has gone to many electronic art galleries, this felt like an exhibition It's a little pretentious .. But .. I still recommend it.
