  What brought me to the game was the cooking aspect however what I am enjoying even more is the story behind the food! If you have the means please purchase this game. The art is beautiful and the food looks so good you can practically smell it. I am also enjoying learning about an identity outside of my own. Venba and her families story is one that is though different from mine is one I can relate to. I am hoping you will pick this title up so you may see for yourself. It's not that expensive so it's not like your breaking the bank!

  this game is great, the cooking is nice, the story is not bad but come on, 17 bucks for 1 hour of game, really?

  Very Wholesome & Nostalgic. Hopefully we get a fully fledged cooking sim with lot more gameplay elements and interactiveness.

  Bitter sweet perspective of first generation immigrant parents and the hardships they've had to face to provide a better life for their child. The story was well written with lovely puzzle like cooking segments in between. I learnt alot about south indian foods. Would have loved it if the game was longer, perhaps more from the perspective of Venba during the tough time she has had to face, as well as her perspective on Paavalans situation in the night. Without going into too many spoilers, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who would like to have a different perspective of another culture.

  I absolutely loved Venba! Figuring out the recipes was really fun and the story had me sobbing at times. A beautiful short experience!

  Beautifully designed game showing South Indian cuisine and the immigrant experience. Reminded me of home cooked meals and that I should call my parents more.

  Venba is a beautiful game that tells its story and connects us to it, through the universal love of food. The art style aids that journey but its asmr levels of sound design and on theme music shines perhaps even more so. Your only desire and wish is that you could eat and smell the dishes. The puzzles aren't too difficult and lends itself to an overall cozier type of gaming experience. My only criticism of the game is its length. The devs are honest about the amount of content the game offers, so that's a plus in terms of transparency. I knew I was in for about 1-2 hours of game play before my purchase. At the end I felt it lacked just a little more time to really let it all truly sink in. As you experience the ups and downs of the story, you might not leave as touched as the team might've intended (and you might've hoped). For context I finished the game with all achievements, as well as explored the differences in which the dialog choices made to the conversations, in 115 min. I would also not consider the game to be particularly replayable. IN CONCLUSION this game gives you a calm and touching experience, that you can finish in one sitting. You can feel the love and thought put into this game.
