Unlock reading
 
If you’d like your child to discover the joy of reading, or like many parents, are worried about how much time they’re spending on digital devices, ReadOn can help.  
 
ReadOn lets you turn every session on a device into a positive reading experience.
 
With ReadOn, each time your child turns on their smartphone or tablet, instead of seeing the home screen, they see the page of a National Geographic Learning children’s book.
 
To get to the home screen, they have to read it.
 
When they’re finished reading the page, or more if they choose, they answer a simple multi-choice question and the device is unlocked, with the following page saved for next time.
 
In this way, ReadOn helps your child discover the joy of reading, every time they turn on the device.
 
Supports multiple devices?
 
More than one device to control, or more than one child? No problem. Simply install the app on multiple devices or setup multiple children on a single device.

And, for those whose kids like to play on their parents’ phones, you can add a ReadOn lock to them too. Just enter a pin code to unlock, same as before.
 
You have the control
 
While your children read, you can track their progress via your phone – how much they’re reading, how fast, and how long they are spending on the device each day. In this way, you can see the tangible results and improvements as they learn to love reading. 
 
Should your child especially enjoy a book, they can ‘heart’ it to notify you, where you can purchase the book direct from the app, if you choose.
 
Emergency situations

In an emergency, you or child can always use the short cut to make an emergency phone call.
