  Nice concept, high degree of realism, but the engine itself (movement, gunplay, animations, physics) are all rather rudimentary, content is sorely lacking, and there's an astonishing lack of basic functions (such as picking a specific mission, viewing loadouts as non-host). Some of this can be excused with it's EA nature, but for now it doesn't strike me as something worth investing 40 bucks into.

  I can see the appeal for some who like hyper realist war/shooters like this. The game gets a lot of what it was like correct. Though I wasn't in Fallujah, I was in Baghdad and Al Taji in 2003-04 and 05-06, as a Medic. I love the intro to this game the fact I wish more games did this especially those who use historic aspects. Having done my fair share of time with Combat Arms with the Army, I can tell you they nailed the environment, sounds, and fog of war/combat. I am refunding this game because I thought I would be ready for something like this twenty years later, I am still not, especially a game this well done. I'd love to see where this game goes when it is finished, I'm sure it will be amazing. I'll caution any Veteran who may have PTSD like I to understand this game has a lot of triggers obviously, that isn't a good or bad thing it is just something that exists so if you aren't in a good place perhaps skip this one until you are. Otherwise, man great job I really wish I could play this, but after 40 mins I could tell it probably wasn't a good idea. 10/10 seriously, just know it is very early access but if they keep up with it, they have a solid base.

  I've only played for a couple hours so far, but here's my first impression: As someone who's been in similar real-life situations, this game does a great job at getting pretty close to the real experience as far as not knowing what to expect. It's very much like Ready or Not only the maps are procedural generated and the missions are different every time. There are a couple of gameplay mechanic issues that I think could be implemented that would make this a much more enjoyable game altogether. For one, the fireteam missions are timed at about 10 min. which is not practical for real-life scenarios where you want to keep everyone alive. You definitely aren't trying to rush through house to house with crazy enemies crawling all over the place. There's a phrase in the military "slow is smooth, smooth is fast", and I don't think that anyone mentioned this to the devs. When you rush, people get killed. This isn't Call of Duty and I think the players playing this would understand if the time limit were removed. I hope to see this game in its entirety soon.

  I was a veteran of Operation Phantom Fury where this game takes place, and it is very close to the real thing environmental wise. If you like the enemies of Call of Duty and Battlefield you may not appreciate this game, as the enemies play like actual players, they flank, they use suppressing fire, mortal support, and hid in the shadows. The Snipers do not have scope shine so are nearly impossible to see, you have to see where the bullets are impacting and make your educated guess. It may not be for everyone, but if you like tactical games like Operation Flashpoint, then I would highly recommend this game. If you are wanting another platform to own noobs in PVP then this is not the game for you. If you really want a fraction of an idea of what war is really like, this game will give it to you.

  Myself telling a friend to try this, it is worth it I said. He does buy it, we go in together. My head gets domed by 7,62×54 mm, my audio gets cut in half, he is trying to contact me desperately. After seen the lifeless body, he stood behind a wall, saying "sh*t sh*t sh*t" I think he as PTSD now, worth every penny.

  The devs haven't hid the fact that the game is an early release so keep that in mind before you buy it. With that said, holy crap I have never played a game like this before. I'm an Army combat vet who fought in both Iraq and Afghanistan and this game comes as close to actual combat out of any game I've ever played. The sounds, the sights, the straight panic of not knowing who is shooting at you, and where those rounds are coming from is something the devs have done right. I appreciate the story that is being told in this game and hope that you all give it a chance to succeed. I know some people have really harped on the running aspect of the game but in real life you are not sprinting around with 75lbs plus of gear so this is just another realistic part of this game. I can't wait to see where this game goes and I'm excited to keep playing it.

  I've seen some reviews of people harping on how you can't select weapons, can't customize your character, well... yeah. You're an infantry Marine in 2004 Fallujah, you're either going to have an M16A4 with irons or an ACOG because that's all you had to use. Your kit is already dope looking, you don't need the option to bastardize it through customization. Others have said the movement feels clunky and slow and I do agree with that, but it's not unbearable, especially if you factor in that this isn't supposed to be a fast paced FPS. Some of the vaulting animations are wack, yes, but not terrible. One reviews discussed how there aren't FOV or head bobbing sliders, again, for most people that won't be an issue. For what the studio said the game would be like during early access, it is. It's pretty nice.
