  Back in 2009 I bought Luxor 3 as Christmas Presents for my friends, cause I liked the game myself. Now over a decade later, I've played the game through for the third time, and I still loved to play it! I thought it was about time I wrote a review for this game. (Non-technical review under the dots) As we change equipment through the years, my first problem I encountered when starting Luxor 3, was the resolution of the game. The maximum resolution was only at 1920*1440, and it messed up my icons on my desktop. I checked the Internet, and it seems that all you gotta do is to Go to : C:\ProgramData\MumboJumbo\Luxor 3 Open file "GameVars.txt" with Notepad or your text editor of choice. (kudos to Steam user Yaan1s) As soon as I put in RenderMaxAspect to 2.5 and Width/Height to 2560*1440p, the resolution in options were put in there (4k too), when the maximum resolution by default only gave 1920*1440, which also messed up all my icons on the desktop. After rearranging my icons again, and testing some more, it did not move my icons ever again... (Right click desktop -> Show -> "alligning icons automaticly" and "allign icons to grid". Might take a few restarts before Windows 10 resets and saves the icons placed) Edit: Aw heck! The icons changed again, after restart. I hope it's just the game, and not gonna remain like this. I was finally ready to the place, with the correct resolution this time (4k was also available now), and I could finally start the game. The music can be a bit repetitive, and the SFX sound is a bit loud, so a good advice is to go with it for a while, and play the game, then turn the music off completly, and keep the sound to maximum 20-25%, then play your own music (you can still hear the game sounds pretty well anyway). Works great really! ... Okay, so the game is based on Egyptian gods, and there is a story you follow. The point of the game is to get 3 balls of the same colour together, and so they will vanish, and you can go to the next balls, until you finish the level. As I said earlier music and sounds can be a bit repetitive, but the graphics are really amazing, and the story brings it all together, together with the possibillity to buy and upgrade stuff, that helps you out in the game. I would recommend playing on Normal difficulty. The 2nd one. For most this will be challenging in a way that you are kept busy most of the time, but you are also able to complete _most_ levels fairly easy. There are even (ingame) achievements, if you wanna spend even more time on the game. I enjoyed the game in my entire third playthrough as I have done earlier, but I am not a very big fan of the puzzle levels in Luxor 3. I wanted to be kept busy, and not having think too much about how to solve this and that. Well, obviously I will recommend this game. I did play some of the earlier Luxors even before buying Luxor 3 a long time ago, but I think this one is the best.

  Probably one of my favorite games in the Luxor series, a great blend of classic gameplay with polished graphics, feel, theming, and designs (polished compared to most of the other Luxor games anyway). Lots of fun new powerups and level gimmicks. Highly recommend giving it a shot :) A warning for colorblind players, as with the other Luxor games it lacks colorblind assist options. As the orbs are often rotating and moving the differentiating icons on the orbs don't really help make them distinct and easily identifiable, and the alternate spheresets you can purchase in the shop don't even have any distinction between colors besides just the color itself. Theres no option for fixed icons or alternate color palettes. You CAN in theory mod the game to change the sphere graphics to suit your needs if you're willing to go through that effort, I'm not entirely sure if anyone has already done this and uploaded an easy-to-install mod for that though.

  Obviously not much has changed since the first three Luxor games (Luxor 1, 2 & Amung Rising). The graphics are slightly better and it's still a lot of fun to kill some time. Is it worth it to buy this casual game for 10 bucks (normal price) ? Hell No! But I will still recommend this game IF being sold for a much lower price.

  If you have windows 7 x64 bit os do not buy as it does not work it is the only reason I have given this game a negative, I have recently asked for a refund. If you have an xbox you can pick up a copy of this game for literally pennies do not bother with if you have the affor mentioned os. There is also no plans to fix the problem either. save your hard earned money and get something else.

  bought this game for my mum, judging for the time she spends on my steam account playing it I assume the game is great.
