  Many paint jobs, with road-specific details like spark catchers. The horn is the frustrating part, it has a very long loop that will require a 3rd party addon to fix. Not bad for the price though, fun to use on shortline railroads and industrial roads.

  These are some nice locomotives. A great variety of liveries are included such as Norfolk Southern, Union Pacific, Frisco, etc. The are fun to drive and look fantastic! I love em alot! I really like their horn except one minor flaw is that the horn loop is to long making it hard to do the long long short long when approaching crossings which is critical in US railroading. Included are a few scenarios for Cajon Pass including free roam. I do suggest getting these because they are fun to drive.

  Well, this pack has a BUNCH of paintjobs, with each one more or less having tweaked features, such as spark arrestors, headlights, horn, and stobes. The bad thing though, is it has a default horn, of which the loop is WAY too long, which makes it diffucult to do the American Horn Sequence (Long-Long-Short-Long), so you have to get a special mod in order for the horn to work right! All in all, I guess I would recommend this, as it is kindof a given engine you HAVE to have, but try to get it on sale...

  EMD overbuilt this locomotive when it came out if there's a king of the switcher world it is the EMD SW 1500. Two Cajon Pass scenarios are provided with this pack if you want more action with the SW 1500 check out the train simulator Workshop there are custom scenarios on there of the SW 1500 doing switching work this is a must-have locomotive if you want to do a switching scenario. Liveries provided with the scenario two Union Pacific paint schemes, Southern Pacific Daylight paint scheme, Norfolk Southern grimy black, Norfolk Southern tiger stripes, Norfolk Southern horse head, Southern Pacific grimy black, BNSF Orange, Santa Fe yellow, BN green, Frisco white, WP orange, Southern Railway green, and CN tiger stripes and red nose. All this and more is provided in the Train Simulator SW 1500 Pack.

  Very decent DLC, especially for the price. This package has switching potential on almost every route available here on steam. They all have the average sounds, but what really gives it spice is that each locomotive variant has modifications, whether it's the headlight or numberboard placement to truck type. There are two scenarios for Cajon Pass included, but I have not played it and no doubt it's pretty outdated. Although, usually for locomotive DLC you can find much higher quality scenarios on the Workshop. Here's a little list I made for switchers and their respective routes for scenario creators: BNSF/BN - Pacific Surfurliner, Marias Pass, Stevens Pass, The Racetrack, and Cajon Pass BN - Feather River Canyon, plus all BNSF listed routes NS - Norfolk Southern Coal District, NEC Philedelphia - New York, The Racetrack, and Horseshoe Curve (This one also includes two different NS liveries) UP - Cajon Pass, Peninsula Corridor (CalTrain), Sherman Hill, Feather River Canyon, Ohio Steel, and Soldier Summit SP - Donner Pass, Soldier Summit, and pretty much any modern-day UP route WP - Feather River Canyon SOU - Horseshoe Curve, Norfolk Southern Coal District CN - Canadian Mountain Passes, Fort Kent Frisco - Best on shortlines on the workshop, like Adriana County or Majestic Falls Overall, this is a must-have for American railfans and has so much potential for US scenarios in the workshop. My rating: 9/10

  The SW1500 pack was a pretty mixed bag back when it was $20. tldr: If you are a scenario creator, you'll want this. If you download American rail scenarios from the workshop you'll want this. If you don't do either of the above, give a skip. There's little of value if you aren't into workshop content. First he bad... And content creators likely won't care about it. There are only two scenarios. Back when it was full price that was pretty flimsy - especially since it comes with 10 liveries. Now that it's so cheap? Not a big deal in my book. The worst part is, one of them is completely broken. You can finish it, but it'll take about 10-15 minutes longer than the scenario allows giving you several thousand neg points. Loading it up in the editor, it says everything is completely broken to the point that it should not even start - yet it does. The two scenarios utilize the Union Pacific and BNSF variant. (The BNSF scenario is the broken one.) The neutral is that it's a very old pack. From a distance they look just fine. Up close, you'll notice their age. Like some of the really old TS locomotives they suffer from Stretchy Coupler Syndrome but at the lower speeds you'll be using it and the shorter consists... It's pretty manageable and of course they'll work fine running around slowly as AI trains in scenarios. The good is that these make outstanding yard duty AI switchers for scenarios. They look at home in most any American yard and they certainly add to the realism. I feel that if you're driving a train past a yard and you see one or two of these moving freight around, it just adds so much! + Famous switches that were yard work horses for decades. Great for workshop content. + Very inexpensive price for a plethora of liveries. (it'll fit most US railroads) + Sounds are a bit dated, but they do the job well enough. The engine sound is quite good. - Only 2 scenarios, one of which is broken. - The physics need updating/fixing and have been ignored like so much of the old content As I stated above, if you're into workshop content, it's a must have. If not, skip it. You're not missing much.

  The pack is very good love the horn sounds on all of them and the bell, They are good to drive all around.
