My first Point-and-Click game as a kid. Was really happy to see it on steam! Now I can relieve those childhood moments with Indy~! Wish they'd put "Day of the Tentacle" as well!

Another LucasArts classic point and click game. I played the game when it first came out back in the early 90s. One part I thought was great about the game was the different paths Indy could take that would ultimately lead to Atlantis, providing some replayability. Now all that needs to be added to Steam is the Day of the Tentacles and Sam & Max Hit the Road!

A really great click and point puzzle game that has a lot of challenge and replay value. I am personally not the hugest fan of the Indiana Jones franchise, I like them a lot but never really thought of them more than just really solid action flicks. Going into the game with this perspective, I believe this is one of the greatest and one of the most fun games I have ever played. The story is pretty solid, and has enough stakes and interesting things going on to get you hooked into the adventure. The puzzles (at least most of them) are actual brain stumpers and really challenge your logic and problem solving skills. I also appreciate the amount of choice in this game as well, which was a pleasant surprise. I am not the most well verse in point and click, but the ones I have played never really offered me a lot of choices in how I went along for the story (i.e Telltale games). There's not only different ways to solve the puzzles, there's 3 entirely unique story paths that you can choose to go through that are highly unique in their own way. The only complaints I have with this game is that some of the puzzles boil down to how perceptive you are of the level, and with the game being literal pixels, be prepared to have a couple of instances where you'll spend 15 minutes stuck on an area, only to move your mouse over a single dot to reveal a button and being like "how the fuck was I supposed to see that". Otherwise, this is a super solid and timeless puzzle game that will be a great introduction to the world of old school point and click adventure games.

Ah yes. Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. A classic adventure games from the good old times (1992). Where Lucasarts and Sierra On-Line was battleling like madmen, to make the best and most memorable adventure games. Both did very very well. My personally childhood is filled to the breaking points, with absolutly joyness from these 2 companies. This one is from Lucasarts and in my opinion the best Indiana Jones out there. The story is very interesting and the game is hard. No mercy. No help. no nothing. Just as it should be. I was struggling. Really struggeling more than once in this game. The worst case of stuck, was a couple of months. The same place for more than 60 days and no hair on my head. But the relief when i finally cracked it, is a indescribable feeling. I can recommend this game to everyone who like classic adventure games. The story is very alluring and the dialog is both funny and serious. The actors behind the voices are doing very well. Sound is as it should be. The graphic, well it is 1992. I could easily overlook that, and if you can then you are in for a hell of a ride of a great classic adventure game from start to finish. My Verdict: 10/10 Peace out Peeps! ;o)

This game is just as I remembered, but I swear my old SoundBlaster card sounded better than the midi emulation did here, and NUR-AB-SAL demanded MT-32. With 5-10 minutes, you too can appease Mr. Sal via ScummVM and add a few QoL features to boot. Here are a few steps to help make that painless: 1) Install ScummVM, available for free online. (Use the latest version, avoid the old RetroArch core.) 2) Launch ScummVM and add the game. (Find your Steam directory, then "steamapps\common\Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis." Ignore the ATLANTIS subfolder.) 3) Go to Global Options (or game options) and find the MT-32 tab 4) Select "MT-32 Device: MT-32 emulator" and check "True Roland MT-32 (disable GM emulation)" 4a) Ignore the Audio and MIDI tabs. The defaults are fine. 5) Go to the Graphics tab and check "Aspect ratio correction" to avoid stretching. 6) Apply the changes and you're all set! (Use F5 for the Save menu.) If you want to play around with upscale rendering, you can also do that in the Graphics tab, but consider doing it in Game Options rather than Global if you'll use ScummVM for other old games. Either way, it's trial and error, and most settings look sort of like pixely oil paintings. Using OpenGL Graphics and an Edge 2x Scaler kept the text the most legible IMO, but you do you. (The online ScummVM documentation on "Understanding the graphics settings" has more info and some comparisons.) Hope this helps someone!

Probably the best point-and-click adventure game of all time. Download ScummVM (free) and point it at your Steam directory, the experience will be better.

Instead of going and watching Dial of Destiny, buy this game instead. This is one of my most beloved games from the childhood and many hours of content with a really amazing story. Some important things to note 1)This is basically 3 games in 1. Once you recover the diary, you get to choose 1 of 3 paths you go one (wit, fist, team), which radically changes the middle of the game with puzzles and locations you visit. All 3 eventually converge again once you reach Atlantis. 2)As soon as you get ingame, press F to turn on keyboard fighting, and turn Num lock off. This will allow you to actually punch, block, and retreat in fist fights. Pressing 0 is a sucker punch which instant KOs everyone but a few "Boss" characters that the game heavily directs you into dealing with via puzzles.

As far as I'm concerned, this is the 4th Indiana Jones movie. It's a real shame they never decided to make more than 3 though... One of LucasArts' best adventure games and that's really saying something. It's a great fun with multiple paths and options and all sorts of fun. And the puzzles aren't too punishing compared to some older games, although sometimes there are head scratchers. Great characters and pretty good voice acting once you get used to the not Harrison Ford Indy. The fighting sub-game isn't my favourite, but you never actually have to do it, or you can take the "Fists" path and punch your way to Atlantis (and if you get stuck in a fight, 0 on the numpad gives an instant KO).

This might be my nostalgia speaking, but to me this will forever be the TRUE Indiana Jones 4. If you have any interest in Indy, you have to play this game. The plot, the mystery mixing history and mysticism, the nice touches of humor, the nazi villains, some nice action and twists... Arguably, it is sometimes even more "Indiana Jones" than the original trilogy movies themselves! This game also has a pretty unique feature for a retro adventure game : the story actually branches at one point, giving you very different playthroughs. Some puzzles are also randomized. This helps replayability a lot. Bearing with the old graphics of this game is entirely worth it. Unless you truly can't stand seeing some pixels, the dated technology should not stop you from enjoying a true Indiana Jones adventure. If you read this, you care about the Indy franchise, don't you? Then just play this. You won't regret it.
