  I prefer mafia 1. This game has no Don leading a family. Its just a pair of small time crooks failing to get anywhere endlessly. And your character becomes a heroin dealer which really put me off. Theres no need to have that in the game.

  I've probably played of over a hundred hours of this since i was 11 it's really has an incomparable balance of story and atmosphere that just makes it an unforgettable experience.

  Mafia II is one of the best third-person shooters that I've played. Set in the mid-1940's through the early 1950's in the fictional city of Empire Bay, Mafia II offers a unique setting that other games in its genre don't often explore. While it's an "old" game by today's standards, it doesn't feel necessarily dated like one might expect. It has a very high level of quality in its attention to detail with its environment, NPC interactions, vehicles, and music selection. If one wants to play through the game for the story (which is a very enjoyable plot, by the way), then anyone can play through it on Easy mode; or if someone enjoys a challenge like I do, then Hard mode can be simultaneously very tough and enjoyable as well. And once the story mode is complete, there are plenty of DLCs available to play through as well, including The Betrayal of Jimmy, Jimmy's Vendetta, and Joe's Adventures. I would highly recommend Mafia II for any player who enjoys third-person shooters like Grand Theft Auto or Red Dead Redemption, as Mafia II is similar to those in its gameplay style, all while being completely its own game. It's one of my favorite games of all time, and one of those I wish everybody could play.

  After 1 hour in the game its not playable anymore. The mission in chapter 2 part 3 where i gonna steal a car and get away from the police just do not work for me. its just slowmotion rest of the game, and if i restart the mission its just the same problem. i have restarted the game many times and even reinstalled it. that did not fixed anything.

  Definitely one of the best story games I have ever played. From the graphics perspective it is not the worst for 10+ year old game. If you don't spend a lot of money on games, you should get this game when it is on sale.
