  I very much enjoyed Save the Light, so I was looking forward to this game coming out outside of the apple arcade. So far, I haven't completed the game, but my first impression is that there are good and bad changes. It's sort of a mix of Attack the Light and Save the light, and I can definitely tell that this was originally made for mobile devices. Currently, there isn't much use for playing with a controller, it can move you around the over world and get you through dialogue, but it cannot do anything in combat as far as I've figured. There is also no settings menu. Anyways, game play wise, I've always really liked this battle system, which others have described as inspired by the paper Mario series. It has a new mechanic where you can switch where people are on the battle field, which will increase or decrease the threat level of team mates, I like how there are enemies that coincide with this feature, projecting who they are going to attack and giving you an opportunity to strategize accordingly. Moving around in the game is more of a swipe based procedure then free movement like Save the Light, so be prepared to do a lot more clicking and dragging. I would have preferred the old method but since this is a port there isn't much to be done. The story is about on par with the last games so far, not mind blowing or anything, but it's still good enough to keep me going. Mostly the combat is what the game is about. There are more puzzles this time. They are my kind of puzzles because they are just complex enough to make me think a little but not hard enough that I have to look up a walk through. I have a dumb poo poo brain when it comes to that kind of stuff so it's nice for me and other people who might not be puzzle minded people. I guess it's not necessarily required to know the story of the other games to get what's going on but I'd highly recommend it because why would you play the third game in a trilogy that is story based. You definitely need to have watched through the whole run of Steven Universe, as this takes place right after Steven Universe, but before Future. If you liked the previous games, this one will probably be good as well, if not a little jarring in the switch of how it controls.

  Great game if you're a steven universe fan. It feels like an actual episode of the show.

  I've never really watched the show aside from an episode or two, but that didn't deter me from wanting this game. It's bright and colorful and has super smooth gameplay. I didn't see any lag between quick map movements, and you get to fight a wide variety of characters as you upgrade your team with fun loot. Recommend! Charming game!
