  To be continued when? An interesting Visual Novel interwoven with light Point&Click gameplay about magic, mystery and family. Standing out very quickly is the art and great level of detail put into it. The menu itself already shows this, especially the Settings menu. There are plenty of CGs, some even slightly animated with a bit of movement. In terms of design the backgrounds and characters are all coherent with the world they are in yet stand out individually as well. Looking at the different witches they all have an overarching design philosophy you can notice in the details, but are wholly different from each other. The creature designs are equally as creative and overall great. There is plenty of action to be found in the story even during supposed quieter parts due to the world being a rather dangerous one. Aside from that early on the magic is what draws you in much like Thomas, though as you get used to the world the personal stories of the characters keeps you engaged until the mystery kicks in. The world building, particularly around the workings of magic, is pretty good in that it keeps things mostly vague. There’s enough information to get an idea of the magic system, but it’s also realistically unexplainable as most kinds of magic tend to be. As a side note this is only the first part of the story, so it’ll keep you longing for more. The information present can only allude to some answers for the questions left open at the end. There’s a lot of love put into this game in every aspect. Only the English translation has a few errors here and there, though nothing too bad. You can certainly understand everything just fine. In the end I definitely recommend this game and really hope they are still working on a continuation!

  Relatively short kinetic novel with a couple choices that can lead directly to bad endings. The music is good and the art is AMAZING, but the game's a bit short and the ending is very abrupt. Honestly feels unfinished, I'm curious to know what the dev's plans are for this game.

  Great Game Overall after a hour and a half of gameplay. There was a few spelling errors but overall game was very fun and will be streaming it alot more frequently!

  Received a direct message in Twitter from the dev of this game to give it a try, and since I do love visual novels, I decided why not? Even from the menu screen, I can tell the visuals are completely entrancing! Everything is so vibrant! The backgrounds are all absolutely amazing, the level of detail the artists had done is downright phenomenal. Things even animate in the background as you read the story, it's such a nice touch. I'm a fan of this level of performance. Graphics are astonishing. 10/10 The GUI design is very creative as well! I was so surprised to see the Settings page even, everything is designed with the same feel of the story! The Save/Load screen is an honorable mention too, as well as the BG/CG page. There were even nick-knacks strewn about these pages that you'll recognize in the background later in the story! I think it's neat! Good lord, I cannot fathom how much work was put into this visual novel, it's so gorgeous. GUI Design, absolutely masterful. 9/10 I also admire the character designs and personalities! I particularly find it interesting how Thomas is a victim of abuse and his wary reactions and pessimistic thoughts to things during the first half of the game were tied to how he was treated. He gets better though, and that's commendable. Great kid for a protagonist. Alice is so scatterbrained and chaotic, I love her. She just gives you the feeling that she has a few screws loose, and that adds to her charm, oddly enough. Just her general air is the "anything could happen" kind. Then again, when she displays her quieter moments, like when she was quietly analyzing the situation and did not speak up until she knows what's happening. I love that. She's an interesting character. Grimmor is just downright charming, he's such an asshole, I love it. His whole shtick is he's a criminal-turned-cat and that in itself is so funny. Also, his whole dynamic with Alice, when they're lovingly bantering, ugh, love it. Then you realize he's not so bad and helps out Thomas sometimes. He just grows on you. Overall fun and fascinating cast of characters! 8/10 What I like the most though is the adventure this story brings you to. It really felt something like Alice in Wonderland with how much it throws you all over the place, figuring things out and getting in danger. How the characters react in these situations are also interesting to note. The writing is nice, and the plot started with how they introduce Thomas and his wreck of a home life and meeting his witch aunt is downright enjoyable. The whole hunting for ingredients in the house quests as well as the potion brewing minigame was so fun!! I enjoyed it a lot, especially with how Thomas reacts to things. As for cons, sometimes the names of the person who's speaking the dialogue doesn't fit with who's actually speaking it, and there are several blank spaces during the dialogues, particularly during the time the Council Hats are bringing Alice, Thomas and Grimmor with Elmara to the Council Tree. I think one of the dialogues was something like "[Another one I don't understand]", with the square brackets, as if it's a translation note? However, these are minor things, and you can basically get the gist of what the story's trying to tell you. Overall writing and generally getting the story across could be cleaner, but understandable and fun enough. 7/10 The whole game is just so charming, seeing the To Be Continued page made me whine, I would love to read more! Thank you so much for creating such a treat of a VN! I'll be supporting you!

  Cute and imaginative. If looking for clues and magic are "your thing", then give this VN a try. Although it currently sits at 4 GBP, reading can take between 6-8 hours. Money well spent!

  I was asked to take a look at this game, so I checked it out to be polite. I'm glad I did. The game has more twists and turns than I expected, and I was interested enough to play through the game in one sitting. It starts out as a visual novel, but it also has some basic puzzle elements and an arrow key-based minigame. All of this is executed pretty well, and I enjoyed my time with it. Pros: The art. There's a lot of detail and variety in the art, and it really made the experience more enjoyable for me. At first some of the areas reminded me of a hidden object game, but I soon found out that most of these random objects are incredibly dangerous magical items, and a lot of them have fun stories to them as well. It makes the world much more vibrant and interesting, not to mention fun. I also liked the design of all the characters. There are a lot of fun little details worked into their design. Team Fortress 2 has nothing on this game's hats. The music: It isn't the sort of music that will be stuck in your head a month after playing, but it always fits the tone and environment well. Not one note feels out of place. The humor. I found myself smiling quite a few times while playing. There's a lot of fun banter between the characters, and all the crazy magical elements are great sources of comedy. It's not going to leave you rolling on the floor with laughter, but it is consistently fun, and I applaud the devs for doing a good job of it. The price: Look at it. If you were interested enough to read this far into the review, I guarantee you'll find enough enjoyment to get your money's worth at full price. Lesser indie visual novels of this length are often three times as expensive. Alice: Can you think of a single unlikable video game character named Alice? I can't. And I can assure you, this game has an Alice. Sorry, I just think it's a cool name. Cons: The interface. It's mostly OK, but it has a few minor annoyances, like having to navigate a menu to equip the same item three times in a row to click three objects in the same room. Also, the menu commands unexpectedly move shortly into the game. Instead of being buttons along the border of your text boxes, it suddenly becomes an unlabeled menu button on the top of the screen. Like I said, minor annoyances, but if I'm writing an honest review, I need to mention this. The dialogue. While it is a lot of fun, and each character's unique personality comes through in their dialogue, there are a few spots where the dialogue is a bit clunky. It doesn't happen constantly, but there were definitely a few times I had to go back and reread a couple of sentences because they were a bit awkwardly phrased the first time around. It never got to a point where I couldn't understand what was going on. Also a minor complaint, but it's there. The game isn't perfect, but it's pretty good. The ending. No spoilers, but this is only part 1. I hope I don't have to be left in suspense for too long, because I fully intend to play part 2. Conclusion: A fun experience that isn't afraid to try new things, and it looks great while doing it. Vibrant characters in a well-built magical world make for a fantastic time, and this game is an absolute steal at this price. I'd give it a solid 8.5/10.
