  Binary Domain is an underrated third person shooter from the early 2010's made by the Yakuza team when they attempted to branch out. Unfortunately it sold like garbage and now you can enjoy this game over 10 years later for a bargain bin price. The game is a solid third person shooter that has an emphasis on dismembering enemy robots as a way to slow them down or incapacitate them. The gameplay still holds up well today except for the very non-frequent quick time events and the ever wonky and out of place voice command system that was common during the time period of the Kinect. Luckily the voice commands are able to be disabled via the start up menu and replaced by toggling a button on your keyboard or controller for a much smoother process. The story is serviceable at best but their are humorous moments at times that can keep you slightly invested during cutscenes.

  This is probably one of the most underrated games ever, just because of the saturation of shooters that happened during its release. But the reality is, that this specific shooter has very interesting features that the others don't have. Basically those would be: A truth system with allies, with the possibility to choose between teammates. Unique enemies (just robots all the game, which its great). It feels a lot like Vanquish. A very interesting story. Yes, it really has a nice story. Who could have though something like that with a shooter? A lot of cinematics, some very lenghty ones. I don't know but it feels like a Hideo Hojima game sometimes. All of this, maybe because the game was made by a japanese studio. So yeah, it's another shooter, but a very interesting one and unique. As I said, it remembers a lot to Vanquish, and obviously, Vanquish is better, but since there is no Vanquish on PC, this alternative is excellent, and should feel kinda enough for the ones that probably never gonna have the chance to play it. The only problem that I really found with this game, was with issuing orders with your voice thorugh a mic. I'm just gonna say that it's better to ignore that feature and keep issuing orders like old school times, with Keyboard/Mouse or a Controller. You don't really need to issue orders with your voice, it's not necessary, and the game is still very enjoyable without that.

  Binary Domain is a good game IMO. It has good 3rd person shooting, decent squad tactics to it and a upgrade and customization system. The story and world is very interesting and def catches you in and makes you want to know what will happen next. But the story is only as good as it is because of the main cast of characters. The main characters have their own beliefs and personalities, some get along great and others bump heads along the mission. Each character has their main type of weapon (Heavy LMG or Sniper) so at certain points of the game you have to choose a squad to play the mission with so choosing a good team balance is important. Defeating enemies with style will improve your reputation with your squad members allowing your team work to improve, and certain choices in the game will also improve or lower your REP with squad members (if they agree with your choices or not). During combat if you friendly fire a team mate it will lower your REP with that person so shoot carefully. There is a currency in the game (credits) which will allow you to buy upgrades for your characters and weapons and even new guns, ammo, and supplies. Credits can be earned by killing enemies or selling unwanted items. Binary Domain has multiplayer in the form of Death matches and survival but it is nothing ground breaking and at this point the servers are pretty dead. Overall the game is fun and has a interesting story, plot and game play.

  despite the flaws this game has, it was honestly an extremely enjoyable time throughout. there was a few instances that were either annoyingly difficult or broken due to the mouse DPI being set incredibly low for no reason, but they're outweighed by just how incredibly fun it is and becomes as it progresses. the characters despite being action hero tropes are fun to listen to and hear their reactions, the ost is good(when i can hear it over everything else), and the story boils down into a morality question and what could potentially happen that we'll have to ask ourselves in the far off future. I can definitely see it having replay value from the multiple times you can change the party setup as it changes the dialogue that happens and who leaves with who. Overall it's a fun but janky time and would definitely be worth the super low asking price that it has.

  Underrated hidden gem from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. It's not a groundbreaking, genre defining game like Yakuza, but as a typical third-person shooter it does everything right. Fun missions, funny dialogue, doesn't overstay its welcome.

  Paid 2$ for this and thoroughly got my money's worth. It's the typical late 2000's, early 2010's Gears of War-like third person cover shooter, only this time you shoot robots instead of monsters. Gameplay's pretty good, it was always fun dispatching robots, especially the cling you hear when you headshot them - quite satisfying. Game was fun on a controller, despite slight deadzone issues that didn't bother me after 5 minutes. It's not something that's obviously going to wow you in anyway, as it's clearly a B-grade action game, but hey, if you're buying it on a sale, you are unlikely to be disappointed. Fix for controller not working properly in-game: Keep controller off when you boot the game. Only turn it on once you reach the "Press the Start Button" menu. Then it simply works flawlessly. I've seen other workarounds suggested by other users that required some fiddling, but this method requires none of that.
