  Adult visual novels with great stories, among the slew of horrid nonsense adult games you get on steam, occasionally a few of them stand above the rest, they try to help guys be honest when they say they are only reading it for the articles.. Games like Acting Lessons and being a Dik, great stories, intertwined with sexual images and situations that most of us would never find ourselves in, heck most of us probably never even did an internet search for.. (ok I lie, I've perused all that nasty taboo adult content.. Don't judge me) Story - TABOO warning, the game has lots of taboo content, mainly consisting of family on family, which depending upon what kinks you may or may not have you'll love it.. Much like Man of the House (which edited the family relations to be landlord and tenants, this one actually keeps the family roles.. ) this game pulls no punches with the relationships whether it be Brother and sister, or Husband and sister in law, or potentially more, (the developer says you can get with all the female characters in the game.. so lots of potential there) The actual story sees you as "generic" male character, you've been in a terrible accident and have lost your memory.. After a few minutes, you're given the run down about your family and then hilarity ensues.. Ok, well not really hilarity, but you begin to live the life of a man who can't remember anything.. Sounds like fun..... well maybe!!! Gameplay - nothing fancy here, no reinvention of the wheel.. read through numerous scenes, make some choice which drive the story one way or the other and then reach the end.. Easy does it.. I did a single playthrough making all the choices I thought would open up the most adult content later on,, and the game wound up taking me about 3.7 hours,, not bad for a visual novel.. Well 3.7 might be a bit scary, the developer plans to add (3 chapters I believe) more chapters for free to flush out the story.. Where as games like Being a Dik might have an extra 2 hours or so but future content will still cost you more money.. Controversy - not just talking about the incest, and other perversions but if the developers plan comes to fruition that all female characters will be romancable, that kind of sends up some red flags, as his three daughters look underage. Which if they were excluded from the adult content wouldn't be an issue.. Now the game makes a point to show you all three girls are over the age of 18, with all of them being in college, the artwork in the future might be enough for steam to pull the plug as they have taken a hard line stance against any content which "Looks underage" even if the story itself presents the character to be of consenting age.. it's a slippery slope which I'd be very careful with.... so it's something to keep in mind as the episodic nature of the content could wind up seeing all of it never being released.. Pros Decent story, compelling mystery that will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat.. Rather unique looking female characters 3 out of 5 on the fap o meter Easy 100% for achievements Con's Lack of adult content,, (although the developer has said the first free content will address that) potential issue with age of several characters leaves the game open for steam to restrict it's sale No voice work to be had.. although the sounds were decent enough.. Recommendation - The games price is right for the content delivered.. 8.99 for 3 - 4 hours of content in the prologue, with more content promised for the future that price might prove to be a really great deal, especially if each piece of free content comes in at 3 - 4 hours as well.. Although as with any episodic content, a chance always exist that we won't get future content,, the developer has thus far seemed to be fairly engaged with the community and just issued a new update 3 weeks ago about progress on the next chapter.. So if you like adult games, in the visual novel format, then by all means pick it up.. unless you're uncomfortable with family boning, in which case this game likely won't be your cup of tea.. Other wise pick it up,, enjoy the story, an don't be afraid to let people know that you are completely comfortable with playing adult visual novels... Let that freak Flag fly..

  First off, if you're under age, go away, this is not for you. Not only is the game X-rated, it also deals with themes that are not for the faint of heart. This game is literally a visual novel, it's all about it's history, and porn. but the creator of this game gives us a good but twisted story that will make you feel good, and I don't mean the porn side.

  I got this game in January and just finished reading it a second time. I have to say, of all the Adult Visual Novels out there that I've read so far, this is one of my favorite. This game is VERY story heavy and not very many sex scenes. There are about 6 so far. But the story is SO good! It makes you smile and even can bring a tear to your eye (it did to me a few times.) As far as recommendations, I HIGHLY recommend this game, and am very much looking forward to the next update to this beautiful story.

  At this point, the game has two chapters and hasn't been updated in 5 months. Here's 3 big problems with it: 1) The problem with Patreon funding (which is where this game started) is it gives an incentive for devs to make a big splash with initial content and then drag out the rest of development as long as possible, because they're getting subscriber money every month. The longer it takes, the more money they get. The dev has only said it may be completed some time next year. In other words, it will take 2 years or more from start to finish if he actually completes it, whereas other visual novels that are just as complex get created in a third of that time or less. 2) Steam purchasers are treated as an afterthought to Patreon subscribers. The dev admits he forgets us and doesn't even bother to give monthly status updates. Probably because he's busy working on developing his other game instead of this one. 3) The content is 95% conversations that are: "Oh, you don't remember anything, do you? I can't tell you now. I'll tell you later", 3% other plot that makes no sense and 2% sex scenes. This is not a sexy adult visual novel, this is an amnesia visual novel - the amnesia is you won't remember if there's any point to this novel after you've played through. You have been warned. Your best bet is to wait another year to see if it's ever completed (unlikely) or is simply abandoned (likely). At that point, read the reviews and decide whether to spend money on it.

  95% of the script is just bloated, over-long mundane conversation that add very little to the story. This means that the pacing of the story is off and it's absolutely slow and dragging. I loved Acting Lessons even if we remove the porn, but this AVN is not the same caliber of writing. The bloated script is too boring with little spices thrown in-between. People withholding information just becomes weird at one point, they do it too much and sometimes for no good reason. SPOILER: Also, your character is supposed to be a dad with adult children and yet these "adults" look like 10-15 year old kids. They don't act like normal adults aside from driving a car and they don't talk like adults (especially the youngest), neither are they treated in the story like an adult. They speak like children and are treated like children, that's just bad writing if you can't be bothered to fix that. And you're supposed to be a grand architect but somehow their bedrooms look like decorated jail cells.

  This is one of the best visual novels when it comes to story on Steam and well worth the money. The chapters are quite long (took me between 4 and 6 hours per chapter) although it is quite a long wait until the next release. Future chapters are included in the price though, so no need to pay for each chapter like with College Bound or College Kings. There is (currently) very little sex in this game, but quite a bit of teasing and innuendo's. This game is heavy on the incestious relationships though, with currently only 3 or 4 (we don't know the background of all the "extra" love interests yet) women that are interested in the MC and that are not related to either MC and/or his wife. The models are overall quite decent but very young looking. the youngest kid is 18 in the story, but looks much younger. I don't mind it that much since they have at least the breasts to look older (although imo still not old enough), but I know people for which that is a turn off. So far only two of MC's kids show interest in their dad in a romantic way, but the developer mentioned that in the end probably every character will become a love interest, except for his youngs daughter (the one that makes a peace sign in the family portrait). The storytelling is quite good, although the main story is kind of cliche: After a crash MC got amnesia while his wife goes into a coma and by talking to people and other ways of receiving information he needs to get his memory back and try to find out what and who caused the crash. During this story though, there are a lot of minor plot points and twists that are very well written and most of the twists are subtly (and not so subtly) hinted at during the story, so most of them don't come out of nowhere if you can read between the lines. When it comes to quality of storytelling, I think this will rank around the same as Acting Lessons or Chasing Sunsets. It is not (yet) of Leap of Faith quality, but it is very close. At the moment there has only been a prologue and two chapters been released on Steam, with about 6 months between the prologue and chapter 1 and about 9 months between chapter 1 and chapter 2. It's unknown how long it will take until the full game is completed. In my honest opinion this game is well worth the full price of € 7,39, even though the game hasn't been completed yet. If you are looking a for a visual novel where it really is about the story and you're going in knowing that it isn't going to be a wankfest (at least not in the currently released chapters), this game really is a must buy.

  I really wanted to give it a positive review. But when I summarized my impressions, I realized that they were overall bigger negatives than positive. The characters and visuals are better than the AVN average, but the story can be a little bit too drawn out. First the good. Lovely visuals and very story immersive. With some exceptions, most characters are well-fleshed out, definitely not one dimensional. If "family affairs" are your kink, then its definitely a positive that there are no pretenses with "landlady" and "roommate" which some incest stories try to hide behind these days. Now the not-so-good. First the major one for me. Three of the characters (the immediate, blood-daughters) look WAY too young for their supposed age. The characters are supposedly all over 18 but these girls look barely pubescent in most scenes/clothing. They are so short and so physically underdeveloped that severe malnourishment or some other disorder seems the only possible explanation other than age. I will openly admit to enjoying the family kink, but as currently drawn these characters cross a line for me (and I even selected the seemingly canonical option to make one of them a trans female, so I think I'm pretty open-minded otherwise). So far there is no overt sexual interaction with the youngest daughters, but if things progress as they seem to be going, it will become a HUGE turnoff for me. Next the story. While the author is up front that this is a story driven game and I really do love that, even for me there reaches a point where it is too much story. Every conversation with every character is long and extremely detailed. Sure it gives an impressive amount of insight into the character's background, but on the other hand with the sheer number of characters already in the game it can become pretty overwhelming and eventually trivializing. Do I want characters with depth? Definitely. Do I want to know everything about the favourite everything about absolutely everyone? Not so much. Related to the characters, I should have clarified that the extreme level of detail above is exclusively reserved for the female characters. The male characters currently fall under two categories. The gay (and therefore sexually non-threatening) couple . . . and everyone else. It truly feels like the only reason there are male characters in this game other than the MC was so that the developer could say there are male characters in the game other than the MC. The lone male doctor from the first chapter was always an afterthought, but at the beginning of Chapter 2 has a falling out which will apparently either now make him antagonist, or he'll be replaced by a new (female of course) nurse. The previously mentioned non-threatening homosexual couple will apparently do anything for the MC including aiding and abetting assault and murder, for reasons so far unknown. The final male character is also an atagonist, and apparently his only character traits are that he is "a piece of shit" and that he hates the MC with blind and seemingly irrational passion. So overall I would have loved to give the game a thumbs up. I definitely enjoy it and will most likely continue to see how it develops. But as it is now I would say that the game needs a few tweaks (especially with the models for the youngest daughters!) before I can give it an unreserved thumbs-up.

  I'll always prefer AVN's that put the story first, so I really tried to like this one, but it's just more of the same. While it's better to take your time to introduce the characters and have them develop along with the story, this does not mean that you need to show every meaningless interaction between them. While it's good to establish a routine that will explain why the characters are the way they are, this does not mean you need to show me every burger they have for dinner. Regarding the LI, I have the same problem as with Bad Memories: a lot of them look TOO young, despite supposedly being over 18...Their attitude in no way helps to dismiss that. In addition to this, you have: the linear plot; the unmemorable dialogues; and the fact that every charcater has the same reaction or makes the same corny jokes about everything that happens. TLDR Lack of impactful writting, choices or characters make this an AVN closer to a chore than to something you would actually enjoy.
