  If you want a good shmup game, this is too simplistic. If you want it for the naked girls, the game's difficulty is stuck on hard with no continues and no level select — so you have to play the whole game again if you die to the last boss — and it only allows you to fully uncensor the images after you beat the game. Not worth it either way. And yeah, I know there is a DLC that makes the game easier. It costs almost as much as the game itself, so it makes me even less likely to recommend the game.

  5 / 10. Cash-grab While the game itself is not that bad, by comparison it is not a great title. Comparing it to Deep Space Waifu, Waifu Uncovered feels like a cheap clone (although it costs more). It isn't even close to something classic like Sentimental Shooting which, by comparison, is actually beatable (although very hard) and fun. The graphics are nice to look at, but pretty tame. I like the colorful Japanese look, but graphics by themselves don't make a good game. The game feels like a big waste of time. There's no variance. All stages are in the same order and are pretty lengthy. Power-ups are random and their drop rate is skewed. You can only use the mouse in one-hand mode, a mode in which you must also need to hold down the mouse button to shoot (for 5 minutes straight...). Ship hit-box is too big and there's sometimes no way to avoid being hit. The screen is too cluttered with items. Bullets are sometimes under the power-ups so it's hard to distinguish what is actually happening. And so on. What's a really low point is the difficulty which is clearly intended to work against the player in order for them to buy the separate DLC (which isn't even listed on the game page). This DLC is very expensive in comparison to the base game and it offers features that should have been included, by default, in the base game like difficulty (which is mentioned but cannot be changed), continues, and so on. Although the game constantly shoves messages saying you should rate up and share this game, there's no incentive to do so. On the contrary, this feels just like a bad cash-grab and I refuse to buy any DLC or any further games in this series.

  i don't like this dev. they are selling a dlc that unlocks an easy mode, gives you more lives, unlocks all the girls, and the nudity unlocked from the start. here's the issue 1) you have to unlock nudity but i did unlock the tops after 3 levels but i still have to unlock the bottoms. 2) as you beat levels the game becomes impossible as the screen is filled with crap and your hitbox is huge. 3) you need the dlc for easy and the extra lives, these can not be unlocked in game. 4 the art isn't good enough to put up with this crap. the game makes it look like you shoot the clothing but you don't. killing enemies will cause them to drop ninja stars and as you collect them the clothing comes off. the red square is just there for show.

  I like it of course. :3 The gameplay and graphics are spiffy, there's no technical hiccups, and there are cute girls to save by uh... Stripping them. Not sure what more you'd want, really. Waifu Uncovered's main appeal, for me at least, is the low difficulty bar for the normal mode. It's true that enemies spawn so often in the top half your movement's a little limited, but it's balanced out by being able to use different ships with differing stats, being able to get healing as a random powerup drop, and [b]being able to take multiple hits.[/b] That alone makes things significantly less frustrating for people who are still new to shootemups. It makes for fun practice, and if you want a tougher challenge the Arcade mode makes you fight through a few more stages, gives some new ones and makes you fight dual bosses after a certain point. You'd be surprised how much difference it makes to a fight when there's a second boss! o.o There's no reason to not get it, £2 is very nifty value and it's fun to try to get a higher leaderboard position. Just don't try beating mine though. >.>

  Again, we must save waifus by destroying their clothing :) Waifu Uncovered is a pretty neat and relaxing game. Covering the whole screen with bullets from fully upgraded weapons is satysfying. It's a bit harder than Deep Space Waifu and a bit closer to normal shmups - there's less dancing between enemy fire and more smart movement. If you're into that type of games and searching for something new - give it a try.

  This game is well worth the $3 it takes to buy it. You really can't ask for more. You strip beautiful women and destroy aliens that are trying to infect their clothes. In Normal mode, it's a nice casual shooter and fairly easy to beat, but on Arcade, it's a hard pain in the ass. I had my ship powered up across the board and I still couldn't make it to the final stage. Still, it's a great game, and a lot of fun. My major glitch has sorta been fixed, so I'm editing this review and allowing comments. It's a fun game but if you get to the Korean girl in Stage 8, watch out because that stage is brutal. all in all, I'd like the arcade mode to be a bit easier, but it's a cheap game, fun for everyone who likes to undress girls and something we need in this day and age. Overall: 8.5/10. It's a great time-waster, a fun casual shooter but hard as hell near the end.

  For the price, it's worth checking out. Fun with some decent art. Yay! . . . Ok lets go into this a bit deeper, you've seen this game before. Ahego, Deep Space Waifu and others. This one has reviews that will say that it's decent but rough around the edges. Well what is that roughness? Stuff and things. So this is a shooter game released on Steam. You know, for PC? Like those things with keyboards and mice? Practically no mouse support at all. No mouse mode. This isn't a bullet hell. It's just a shooter. The hit-box is the entire ship. Bullet-hells will usually feature a very specific and small hit-box (hi there Ikaruga!, how's it going?). This took a little getting used to (not that it's a big deal, really, just a little noteworthy). There is no concept of contrast. The backgrounds, which as you might imagine are the ladies you've seen in the screenshots, are made up of a bunch of colours and the projectiles on the screen are another colour. Sometimes those colours aren't very different. The menus work sort of weird. This isn't easy to explain, but it's like the menus were designed to be used with a mouse or touch-screen or something, but got implemented with a d-pad / wasd implementation. So you navigate around the menus by arrowing around, even though there are things that are very definitively buttons. Memes. If you're playing 18+ games then you're old enough to remember the horse head mask. Most of us moved on, this game didn't. Remember rage-face? He's here, with some of his friends, sort of. Referencing a meme doesn't create automatic humour. Referencing an old and mostly forgotten meme doesn't create automatic humour. You need to use them cleverly and this game doesn't. On the above note, compare to the other games in the niche-genre of h-game shooters for steam. Ahego has me constantly asking, "Why am I dodging bullets from a happy hot-dog with a sushi roll shooting peas?" Nothing makes any sense, but it's all cohesive, if not coherent. Deep space waifu is entirely a parody of everything; action movies and the female characters in them; Video games, video game enemies and bosses. They understand that their humour derives from exaggeration of the tropes that exist in various media that they poke fun of / use shamelessly. What does Waifu Uncovered do? Well, nothing original. There's a mix of alien themed enemies and meme-themed enemies that shoot slow moving beams and pellets around the screen. So why have I written all of this that nobody is going to read? Well, hopefully I would like the devs to read it and maybe look into what good parody looks like. (Watch movies like Space Balls, Top Secret, Naked Gun, etc) The basic structure of the game is solid, they just need to find their own voice, and that requires creativity and a language based on what works and what doesn't.
