Subway Surfers - New Characters, Locations, Items, and More

Subway Surfers is one of the oldest casual games that are still super popular over a decade later. It was released all the way back in 2012 and it’s still claiming the top charts. And that is all thanks to the awesome developers who are constantly releasing new updates, events, and items to keep the players coming back for more.

Even in 2023, the game feels fresh as ever and we have some awesome content lined up to keep you busy through this year just like any other. From stunning new locations to cute characters, Subway Surfers fans will have their hands full for a while.

Subway Surfers New Characters

One of the most exciting updates this year is definitely the brand-new characters making their debut in the game. It’s always exciting to play a new character as they all bring something new to the table and a story that is unique to them. And this year is already off to a great start as we have received some amazing and of course, cute-looking characters to the long list of characters.

• Rabbit

The first character to make a debut in the game this year is Rabbit. She’s a cute addition to the game who wears a red robe with gold embellishments matched with black pants. Like most Subway Surfers’ characters, Rabbit is a great runner who loves her grey shoes and hides her identity with a rabbit mask. She is part of the 12 animals from the Chinese characters and sits at number 4.

• Soul

The next character on this list is Soul from the Oxford world tour. As the name already indicates, it’s a soul who wears an armor suit and has a strong medieval-era shield. Soul is one of the very first genderless characters in Subway Surfers who also came out in 2023.

• Tutti

Tutti is the third character to become part of the Subway Surfers’ roster. He is a charismatic and invisible young boy from Spain who sports a fashionable ensemble. With a vibrant red cap with blue headphones that sit atop his head, he looks pretty cool, especially with those yellow sunglasses that add an extra layer of personality with their expressive facial features.

• Fruiti

Where there’s Tutti, there’s Fruiti! The charming invisible girl who shares many similarities with Tutti. Like her Spanish counterpart, Frutti has a great sense of the style. She wears a similar but pink cap and dark purple headphones adding a touch of personality to her appearance, while her trendy teal circular glasses add an element of sophistication.

Subway Surfers Hoverboards

Subway Surfers is incomplete without its signature ride, the “Hoverboards”. And luckily, we have a bunch of the awesome ones coming out this year as well. While some of them are practically a re-release, there are many that are doing a debut. Keeping that in mind, here are all the awesome new Hoverboards that we got to play with in 2023

• Carpe Diem

Starting off, we have received an ever-so-stylish fish Hoverboard to make you float on the surface like a slippery fish. It looks like a redfish with a brown head and tail and a scale design in the middle. It looks pretty cool and it is the first one to drop in 2023 with a cost of 210 Paper Lanterns.

• Ghastly Glider

The next one to make its debut in 2023 is the Ghastly Glider, a shield-like Surfer that looks pretty cool in appearance and goes perfectly well with the Soul character and his impressive armor. It’s a neat-looking hoverboard that offers a smooth gliding experience to the player.

• Fan-Tastic

Released with the Barcelona, Fan-Tastic is yet another epic-looking hoverboard that looks funky and fresh with all the stickers and propelling fans. It goes very well with all the characters but you can really pop things up with Tutti and Fruiti do things better. It’s the third one top debut in 2023 and cost around 210 spray cans.

• Viperfish

Viperfish is the fourth hoverboard that was released as part of the Underwater tour. It looks like a fish-tail or body of the fish with gorgeous purple color. It offers players a smooth drift ability and goes perfectly well with the Koral character and costs around 210 starfish.

• I-Scream

I-Scream, as the name already suggests, is a cheeky-looking hoverboard that looks like dripped Icecream with a gap in between. The design might not be the most logical but it sure has its own charm. It’s pinkish in color with sprinkled candy on top. And as you might have guessed, it goes perfectly well with Tutti and Fruiti.

Subway Surfers New Locations

Of course, the most exciting of all is new and gorgeous locations coming to the game this year. We already have a few and a ton more to come as we go through this year. Here is a list of all the exciting locations that are open for surfers to get surfing on their favorite hoverboards!
