My issue is the price tag. 34 for dollars for EARLY ALPHA. It should be at least 20 or 15 dollars and then the pay should be raised when the game is done. Right now there nothing to do. Collect some bones and level up. Ai is worst then the Isle. Hunger and food goes down way to quickly to explore the map as a baby. Ya'll should have stay in close alpha and add more things. I do not recommend game to anyone as of yet.

So I gave this game an honest to god try, I was super excited when it released. I hadn't heard hide nor hair of it prior to it doing so, but I happened to be checking the store nearly an hour after it did so. So as I've been looking for a game like this for ages I went ahead and bought it thinking that even if it ended up being no more than a dragon version of wolfquest that that would be totally fine with me. The description refers to quests leveling, and supplying basic survival needs being present in the game, so ignoring everything else lets focus on that alone as I felt that was the core of the game I was expecting personally from this brand new early access game. Leveling and Questing: Quests at present seemed completely irrelevant to leveling as the way you level is collecting random rocks and knick nacks around the map. The only thing the quests do is they focus your attention to certain types of knick nacks, however if you decide to focus on a quest you will spend more time trying to find those particular knick nacks than simply exploring the world and gathering whatever you run into. That's all folks, no actual questing here, simply go gather a bunch of shells by the seashore for absolutely no reason besides somehow growing your dragon. Survival Stats: So as I mentioned hunger and thirst are a thing, thirst is easy as all hell to resolve as water is everywhere, hunger on the other hand? Well you are reduced to trying to trying to resolve that issue the entire game it seems. And no if your thinking that that's how your dragon grows your sorely mistaken that's done through gathering rocks you silly goose. But it's ok right? You can hunt for your food and that's cool in it's self... No wrong again combat is nearly non existant just like NPCs! No you need to attempt to find carcasses that are few and far between or plants that while you could in theory pick up and eat later, you'll most likely already be starving by the time you find them so you will want to eat those imediately. Hoards and Crafting: So you want to build a hoard? Awesome well lets do that with all the stuff we've collected through questing... Assuming you managed to find any food so you haven't lost your inventory 20+ times. You will need a ton of specific materials. Lets say you gathered them up though, lets say that you managed to craft whatever you wanted to craft, go you. So now lets build this and continue playing the game... Good luck finding where you put it as you have no map what so ever, as well as the map being huge. But lets say you do manage to put it somewhere you can find it again. Congrats you have a stash full of rocks. You're an awesome and terrifying dragon you, and you have officially done everything this game has to offer right now. Go get more rocks rinse and repeat... oh and that beautiful world you see in the videos? Enjoy that being black and white the whole time as you'll most likely never get out of nightvision as the nights are pitch black so you can't see anything and take up abought 75% of the day cycle. Enjoy!

Wait, how much did I just pay for this again? Oh lord. It's always telling when 90% of the "Recommended" reviews don't actually say the game is good, but talk about "what may come". "I recommend this game because i like dragons and it might be a good game some day." Mmmk "The devs are really going to make a great game eventually, there's so much potential even if there's nothing to do right now" Sooo...like, probably not a good time to be mashing that thumbs up on Steam Reviews? The character models look and animate pretty damn well, and the flying controls are at least better than Ark:SE....so there's that. Beyond the dragon dudes looking cool and flying being pretty good - there's nothing here. There's DEFINITELY not $35 here. The map is BARREN. I remember when Day of Dragons was getting savaged online I almost caved and bought it because I kept thinking "it can't actually be THIS bad can it?" So literally years later Draconia has plenty of "don't do what he did" to reference, and they still drop a totally empty world on Steam. Why did this need to leave Patreon again? Oh right, money. As for things to do? You can fly around. You can chomp items to loot them and level up. And you can find carcasses on the ground to nomnomnom. That seems to be it, oh right, you can LARP around the village with all the other dragon lovers. I guess that's neat. I've never understood the weird social "wanna chill and like talk to each other" meta-game that games like The Isle, Path of Titans, Beasts of Bermuda, Draconia, etc seems to cultivate, but I guess it must be a popular activity in this genre, and that's good because its really all there is to do. My advice to the devs would be : Open this game up to workshop mods immediately. The map is absolutely terrible and some community modder would make you a much nicer map before you even know it. Add in AI, if they're already there you fooled me cause I didn't see a damn thing. Oh right, the night time sucks. Why the ever living hell do developers keep going "people love not seeing a damn thing, thats so hot right now." I won't lie, I was 30% salty and 70% confused on why the devs weren't giving out keys for content creators except to their little click of fan creators (to be fair I asked to buy a few for my community to give out and spend some time with the game so I could be properly informed at launch) - now I know why they wouldn't give any out - they already knew I wouldn't need days to go over this game. You can pretty much see all the meat on this game's bone welllllllllllllllllllllllll within the 2 hour refund window, especially if you don't waste time getting lost in the character dragon creator screen. This game isn't worth $15 right now, that the devs are asking $35 is insanity.

The world is very empty and there isn't anything to do. They are charging $35 for what barely amounts to a tech demo. I played every creature and leveled them to 20 (except the golem more on that later) The flight feels ok, and exploring the map as a flying creature (dragon or griffin) The customization options are fairly robust and you can make your creature look pretty nice. The golem is the exception to this as its options are very limited. Exploring the world as a walking/slithering creature does not feel very good at all. I played lyndworm to max and it's very slow. The golem is even slower, to the point I would call it unplayable. Maybe it's a joke option, because that's what it feels like. I maxed out every creature except the golem. You level and grow by gathering rocks and dirt and if you're lucky you will find crabs. The game has loads of potential but as it is right now I can't recommend it to anyone. The game is very expensive for a lot of nothing. The dragons look nice and that's it. If you think the dragons look cool or like the concept, add it to your wishlist and wait for it to get some udates. Until then, I'd give it a pass. Early Access is a risky investment. The game might get updated and become something great, or the devs might drop and we'll be left with it in whatever state they leave it at. TL/DR flying dragons go BRRRRR, but you're paying for a dragon tech demo

I think that this game is very promising and its heading in the right direction. However, the price tag is actually stupid for it being in pre-alpha and having quite literally nothing to do. Quests cannot be completed as there are no NPCs to talk to. The dragons look good, but the environment looks terrible. There is no tutorial, so you are stuck figuring out everything yourself and it gets extremely frustrating as you gradually realize there isn't even a point to the game yet. I paid 40$ CAD for a game that has no substance at all. I hope the devs realize this is a huge issue and they lower the pre-alpha price. The full, completed game, can have a price tag of 40$, I see that being possible, but this game is VERY far from completion and I wouldn't even pay 20$ CAD for what state the game is currently in. I would refund the product for my money back, but I want to see the direction this game is going in. If I didn't have as much interest as I do in this game, I would have refunded it immediately.

This game is no more then a worse, non Vr. Vrchat. its got 0 content past the character creator. you make a dragon, then talk with like 7 people at a campfire. For the love of god, don't let them accept +$30 for this. 5 buck, and once you start getting content out, then bump up the price.

Let me start by saying, the concept for this game is great and I can see a lot of potential in it. It was incredibly fun to create a character and meet a few people on the servers available so without further delay I'm going to break down this games currently available features. Character Creation: Character creation was definitely a bit overwhelming and the UI was pretty complex and confusing at first glance. This was easily over come and the amount of options given to create a character was amazing! Overall, its a solid character creator with lots of options to choose from. Tutorial: This one was a bit frustration. THERE ISN'T ONE! I think the game could use a small, quick tutorial. Even an easily accessible guide in settings or something similar. Only through asking other members of the server did I even figure out how to fly! Definitely needs work in this department. Movement and Combat: Movement and Combat both feel rather clunky and unresponsive. I attempted to attack a golem just to see what would happen. I flew straight through its mesh (seemingly no collision which is a real shame) and hit registration was pretty awful. Flying while fun felt very unnatural and unrealistic, the beat of the wings seeming out of sync for how fast you're actually going. Running and jumping seemed fine enough but anything beyond that was disgraceful in terms of what should be the standard and the expectation for a game of this genre. Sniff Mechanic: The mechanic used to find food and water is a staple of the genre. This version of the sniff mechanic was hard to understand at first, with lines going every which way across my screen. This was quite confusing and overall very unintuitive gameplay. Crafting: While I didn't get much chance to craft things, it felt very confusing and overall difficult to figure out. Not pleased with this! Price: Not a mechanic or feature, but I believe it needs to be addressed. This game, as is right now, is worth maybe 15-25$ USD. There simply isn't enough in this game from a pure gameplay standpoint for it to be anywhere CLOSE to 35$. Heaven forbid anything more. Down the line when this is a Beta or even a finished product, that 35$ could definitely be worth it but for now? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Overall I feel that this game has potential, but I will say up front that while I understand this game is in early alpha phases, it really isn't ready for the public. Many cored mechanics feel very janky or absent all together. Combat is atrocious and its hard to even attempt to do anything without any sort of help or tutorial given! It's frustrating to say the least that this game thinks that 1. This is a product ready for release to the public, and 2. That this game is worth 35$. Honest Opinion? Follow this, keep an eye on the development. It has so much potential but its simply not there as a game.

Steam needs to add a neutral rating for games like this. The only reason to buy this is to support the devs in making this game. I don't want to give it a bad rating because it needs support. If you want a game with anything to do right now don't buy it and wait for more content.

Pros: -Dragons/creatures to customize, sorta? -World exploration, I guess. -Chatting/rp (if you're into that) -Decent graphics with amazing attention to detail. They did put a lot of work into the environment. -Room for growth as a game, with applications for crafting, quests, storylines, and more. -There are days where one member of the staff team interacts (streams on Twitch) with the community in-game, which is great! -Most of the in-game community is great. There's a lot of helpful folks who are friendly and kind, as well as a large RP community. Cons: -Absolutely nothing even started for storyline/overall plot. There's really no content at all, actually.. but they're adding more dragons to do nothing as, guys! Guys? -There's a couple quests, but they only half work and they're not rewarding at all. -Some members of the staff team are hostile/rude. (You can avoid them if you stay out of the Discord though.) -There's zero in-game chat moderation. Staff in the discord just tell you to 'mute the player that's bothering you'. -There's an invisible character limit on the in-game chat, which makes any sort of meaningful RP impossible. -There's allegations of a groomer being allowed to play, despite this issue having been brought to the attention of staff. So far, the individual is still active in the game. (so take that as you will) -Bugs, bugs, bugs! (though it's alpha, so I can forgive most of that) I have over 400 hours on this game. Obviously I do love it, and it has so much potential. However, there's some serious issues that really need to be addressed. Until they are, I'm not sure I can morally withstand recommending this game to anyone.

Don't get this game. At first, I would've loved to recommend it - Customizable dragons with any colors you could want, lore incoming, beautiful map and models! However, lots have things have happened that have made me change my opinion. First - They have added a character text limit to a game that at the moment, is only good for RPing. Before they did this, there were easily 20-30 people in servers. Now only 10 people are on, at the most. There isn't anything to do. You hop on, grow, try to RP with the very short character limit, fly around the map, and.. That's it. Sure, you can take screenshots and design dragons, but that grows old with only 4-5 skins you can customize. My other issue is with the moderators of this game. If you have an issue with someone or something, you're screwed. Unless something directly happens in the game's discord, they will do nothing about it. So if you're being harassed or anything, good luck. So much drama occurs in this game as well. I know the moderators have had plenty of DMs involving numerous people, and do nothing about it. Not only are the devs/mods driving away their own source of income (I.E driving out Roleplayers by the character-text limit), they're driving them out because they don't do anything to solve or help with issues. Nothing will happen from this game. We may get updates, but what is there to do on a game that has barely anything? It's early access sure, but once you take out the only element - The RP element - what are you left with? Nothing, really. I hope it gets better. I genuinely do. But until then, I can't recommend this to anyone.
