  The game is pretty simular to the last 2 copies of it. It is definetly better than 2k21 (thank god lol) but still, I can't see this as actual progress. PC not being recognised as next gen is killing the community and I honestly can't be anything more or less than sad. It's just sad. It's difficult but it's coming out of a big 2K fan, don't buy this game.

  If you have not played NBA 2K before or if you have not played any of the games in a long time, NBA 2K22 is worth the purchase. The individual games themselves are complex and truly make you feel like you are watching a NBA broadcast you control. The franchise is deep with tons of customization for your team to be extremely unique and different than anything you or anyone else has created by using different logos, jerseys, cities, players, and even different arenas and arena sounds. MyPlayer games truly feel like you are controlling a real NBA game, and the feeling of a high overall MyPlayer splashing threes and throwing down windmill dunks feels amazing. The AI defense has had major improvements since last year, although it still contains issues, and the skill gap of dribbling has increased, giving much more reason to make sure you know good dribble moves. Why then, you might ask, do I not recommend NBA 2K22? There's a few reasons, starting with the game itself, its main issue is mostly bugs. As with every sports game, especially the ones released this year, bugs are everywhere. Want to dive for the ball as it is going out of bounds? You better hope the animation to pick it up actually works. Sometimes your rebounds will just bounce right off your head. Randomly walking out of a bounds picking up a loose ball is also quite common even on low difficulties. Players will randomly completely ignore attributes like their blocking and suddenly gain 45 inch verticals. It can be quite a lot to deal with sometimes. However, the real biggest issue is sameness. Besides defensive tweaks, the gameplay feels extremely similar to 2K21. The franchise mode does not have any innovation. When I play the 2K21 franchise mode then play the 2K22 franchise mode I feel almost no difference besides what I have purposely made different. In MyCareer there's a new map, but new buildings are few and far between. The mechanics of the map are basically the same, just in different spots. The game even has issue supporting next generation controllers. Overall, do not pick up NBA 2K22 if you already have a NBA 2K game that you enjoy. Even if you don't, your better off purchasing an older game at a cheaper price. NBA 2K22 does not offer enough new to be worth purchasing.

  DO NOT BUY THIS ON PC!!! You will not get the full version of the game when compared to new generation consoles (Xbox Series S/X, PS5) if you get this game on Steam. If you do, you are literally wasting your money. Get the console version on a newer console, and you'll see what I mean. The My Career mode on PC is dry and dull, seeming the same as previous versions of the game. There is a whole city to explore and missions in the Console version, not here. In short, do not waste your money on the PC version of the game, please. You will be missing out.

  Here's a fun story for you. I bought this game to play MyCareer and MyCareer only. Is it the most challenging thing ever? No but it's fun to pretend to be an NBA player. You know how it goes, I imagine you have similar feelings if you're reading this review. I put a lot of time into my one career. 122 hours as steam says and one day I open the game to find that I have been banned??!!??! You can check my achievements, I only have achievements related to MyCareer and absolutely ZERO related to the multiplayer. And yet somehow I have violated the terms of service playing MyCareer alone and am now banned. Fine ok, I guess I'll stick to just playing single-player like I have for my entire 122 hours of playtime. Except oh wait. I can't. Since this game requires always online being banned means that I CANNOT PLAY SINGLE PLAYER EVEN BY MYSELF. I am just locked out of almost all game functions and 2k refuses to explain what I was banned for. What's funny is that numerous reviews of this game mention that PC online is FULL of cheaters. So you can't play multiplayer on PC and even if you just stick to yourself and play MyCareer single player please be aware that 2K can randomly decide to ban you and block you from a save file you have over 100 hours in. 0/10 I'm honestly flabbergasted at how awful this is.
