Honor of Kings
Released back in 2015, Honor of Kings has become one of the most popular MOBA titles of all time with well over 100 million daily players across Asia as of 2020, and is expected to have the same boom in western countries upon release as well. It’s been out and around for a very long time now but players from western origins are still waiting for the game’s global release.

And now with Honor of Kings finally coming out for Brazil on 8th March, the chances of that happening soon have astronomically increased. So, in this article, we will dive deeper into the world of Honor of Kings and talk about when this much-awaited MOBA is getting a global release and what changes are we expecting to see in the global version.
When is Honor of Kings going global?
Honor of Kings has had a successful run in the Chinese market with millions of daily active players having a blast with the game. And it's only fair that the rest of the world got a chance to experience the same thrill with a more westernized version of the game. And after years of waiting, developer Level Infinite finally announced on June 7, 2022, that a global release of the game was just around the corner and we should expect to see it by the end of the year 2022.
Fast forward to 2023, and we are still waiting for the global release of the game. However, just a couple of days ago on March 8th, Honor of Kings just got released for the Brazilian region, which looks promising. It also makes Brazil the first country to get the true taste of the ultimate MOBA experience on mobile platforms. As for the global release, we are yet to get a confirmation from the official sources, so the Brazilian version is as close to a global version as possible.
What to Expect from Honor of Kings’ Global Release?
Honor of Kings has always been intense 5v5 MOBA game that offers an exceptional competitive experience for players of all levels without any restrictions. The game has been meticulously designed to provide fast-paced, intense battles and strategic team-based battles that are designed to keep the players on their toes all the way through.
And the best part about this release is definitely the refined gameplay experience that global fans would get after years of perfecting HOK in the Chinese market. So, definitely, there will be quite a few changes and additions to be seen in the global version of the game. So far, we have only seen some minor changes to the game’s heroes and guides, which have been updated to make it easier for local players.
One of the changes that I am expecting to see in the global version of the game is definitely the in-game chat and login features. Honor of Kings boasts a plethora of social features, such as chat integration through popular Chinese social apps like WeChat and QQ. It remains unclear whether these features will be retained in the global release of Honor of Kings or if they will be replaced with more Western-centric apps such as Facebook Messenger or get rid of it altogether.
Is Honor of Kings Worth Playing?
Honor of Kings has long been one of the most popular MOBA titles with a significant player base, especially in Asia. It has won multiple awards and received highly positive reviews for its engaging gameplay, diverse character selection, and social features. It’s in the same vein as League of Legends with its very own innovative gameplay modes that are sure to keep the players hooked for hours. And now with the global version of the game closing in on its release (and better than ever), Honor of Kings is definitely worth playing for any MOBA fan!
