  First, there is a long-standing bug in the Mac game that prevents you from playing more than the first few minutes (you get stuck with no hotspots in the Inn). When trying to find a solution for that, I learned that this is NOT the full Dracula game. It is a port of the mobile version, which is missing much of the puzzles, several videos, etc, etc, etc. The forum posters suggest getting the version on Good Old Games instead.

  I had this epic game on PS1 when i was child... It is the reason i like horror-adventure games and i would suggest you to buy with my eyes closed.... But unfortunately Steam version is AWFUL!!! First of all, the great intro where you shoot Dracula is missing!!! Secondly, the dialogues and cinematics isn't on full screen as the original but windowed.... The graphics, the atmosphere and the sounds aren't that creepy as the old scary and full of emotions game... Also, the parts with the magnifying glass where you see some less important things of the game are missing too... But these aren't the worse! On steam version you can see exactly where there are items to grap, where you need to use items, so you have only to move your mouse and find where to use the right item, something that makes the game very very easy.... On the original game i spent many hours to find all items or where you need to use them something that here is obvious... Finally, you can see where to use an item only if the item is available to grap right now... On the original you could see that somewhere you should use an item you don't have either if you hadn't found it cause you were careless (something that can't happen now cause you see exactly where the items are!) either if you will find it later.... As you can see then you were confused if you should return back to find a lost item behind or if you will find it later so you should focus your attetion somewhere else (something that made the game more difficult)! For all these reasons i would suggest you to buy the original game on PS or PC, otherwise buy this on sale! My rate for the original game is surely 8,5-9 cause it's great but for this one will be lower.... My rate for this game is: 6,5/10

  I like Dracula: The Resurrection. It's a fun, if short, Myst like adventure game with beautiful graphics and a intresting storyline that follows up on Bram Stoker's novel. However, these postives are for the CD version of the game. The steam version seems to be a bad port of the IOS version with over simplistc controls that are still somehow confusing, lots of cut videos (inculding, most unforgivably the intro video, witch is still in the trailer...) and what videos that still in the game are in a small frame rather than in full screen like the CD version. And worse of all the game is broken. At one point a door that you need to go through to continue is locked and there is nothing you can do to unlock it thus making the game uncompletable. As I say D:TR is a good game but you would need to track down the CD version to experince it as this version is a broken mess.

  It glitched during the first few minutes and won't work. I played this game back in the day and loved it but this port doesn't work.

  This is a crippled port of the Android/iPad version, missing a lot of content/puzzles and has worse graphics and video quality than the original PC release! Also has many more bugs. Don't buy it, unless the developer releases the original PC version as well (which run fine on current Windows systems). They have released the original PC versions on other game sites and promised to do so on Steam as well, so I can't understand why it is taking them so long. Definitely don't try to play this mess of a game though in its current state (actually the same applies to Dracula 1-3 from the same developer!)

  This counts for all parts of the series. If u r a PC gamer, dont buy it. This is version for TABLETS with screwed controls on PC (no free look), but even worse, there r missing few cutscenes too... Get GOG version instead. Steam failed here.

  WARNING: BROKEN GAME. DO NOT BUY. I loved the book & was looking forward to trying a faithful continuation of the story, but this game sorely disappointed. Everything started out nice, with reasonable graphics for a game its age, despite the hilarious animations & voice syncing. The puzzles had logical solutions & I was enjoying wandering around the frozen environments. Sadly, I encountered a bug that no matter how many times I restarted I couldn't get past. After some puzzles Harker gets a key from the inn keeper to a dresser that contains a lighter, key & journal. No matter what, I couldn't pick up the journal, which apparently prevented me from unlocking the secret tunnel to progress to Dracula's castle. Even using the key & ring, it never triggered the cutscene of opening the secret tunnel in the basement. And since the game removes items after you've used them, I couldn't open the dresser again. It sounds like I'm not the only one having this problem. If you're really interested in this, find a different port or watch it on Youtube.

  I bought this game in the hopes of the nostalgia, however this cut mess of a game just doesn't live up to it's former self. I do not recommend Steams version of the 1st, 2nd or 3rd game, I'm sorry to say. GOG have the the originals, so much better, and so much more worth your money.

  Pretty good for a 1999 point & click game (released in 2000). I completed the game using Windows 7. I noticed other reviews were complaining about cut scenes being removed or whatnot. I decided to compare the PC (only) version to Steam's. Steam's version is actually easier (yet challenging still) as when you look around the room, you see the movement arrows and action areas in advance. The PC only version had no such indicators and you would have to paint the screen with the pointer to catch any action/movement spots. Therefore, the steam version allowed for a more fluid progression in the game. I did see some cut scenes removed, but those were things like walking up a short fight of stairs, which I suppose is not really necessary as it was clearly obvious. There were a couple changes in the order of clickable events, which I assume was to make it more correct, but both version are just fine. I have no clue how the PS1 version would compare, but i suspect it may be closer to the PC only version. Cheers.

  I love a good point and click horror story. Like the 'click' of the lock on Jeffrey Epstein's cell, before he was murdered. 10/10
