    not a good game

Recommended for all RTS fans out there. You will enjoy this classic and unique game. Ignore the toxic community and play it for the campaign or single player. I hope they add more faction, like ancient Persia with their immortals and some asian dynasties maybe?? New factions should have distinct unit's skill to use, I'm kinda dissapointed for Egypt and Britannia reusing the special skill of old units from the old version. Plus I think Nobles of Carthage are kinda broken, or maybe not cause I havent tried it in multiplayer yet.

Multiplayer doesn't work, and there isn't anything done to improve quality of life in the game from the original

they didn't change anything apart from the new unit :(

This one is only for people with strong Imperium nostalgia. Shame they couldn't support higher resolutions or improve the controls. Also what a wasted opportunity with the two roman factions. Could have made a truly republic faction (like in the original) and a late imperial one (third century inspired), would have provided two truly different experiences. Use to love this game as a kid but nowadays I'm definitely going to Total war for my Roman era fix.

Sadly, I've experienced many glitches in this version of Imperivm. I've played the original prequels, Celtic Kings and Nemesis of the Roman Empire without a hitch so it seems odd that a newer game that's modernized and updated for current PCs would have so many problems. I get voice lines playing twice in quick succession, creating an echo effect when commanding units. The F1 help menu does not open at all. When playing as Iberia, the militiamen's voice lines don't work at all. My game has crashed while invading an enemy's stronghold. Sometimes, I get a choppy framerate that requires me to restart the game for it to run smoothly again. These issues are minor enough that the game is still fun to play, but I would hope that the developers are still working on ironing out bugs and improving the game further. As a fan of the franchise with a lot of nostalgia from playing the games for over a decade, I'm willing to look past the shortcomings, but I can understand that a lot of first time players would not be so forgiving.

This is so fun to play. I wish we had more games like this. The foundation is there and the people are there to support, please make a new one.

If you have the original, do not buy this one. It doesn't add anything significant. Some things, if anything, work worse.

I enjoyed "nemesis of the roman empire". This is disappointment. The sound is not as good as "nemesis of the roman empire". Crammed in too many features but does not create a uniform, smooth.

I gave it a thumbs up is just because I want to rewind the joy of playing Celtic Kings and Nemesis of the Roman Empire. The downside of this game is the animation of the new nation's unit, especially the German tribe. The walking animation, the attack animation feels so stiff and not so smooth like the four older nation's unit (Gaul, Roman, Carthage, Iberia). Additionally, it would be nice if this game come with 2k resolution.
