  I posted a negative review complaining about a game breaking bug and an update came out a few minutes after fixing it. Its like Rust meets Animal Crossing and its a blast so far!

  The story so far.. - spawned , explored a bit, found a house with an autoturret , died - respawned , bought fishing rod , ran out of stamina while swimming died. - respawned , picked plants , ate wrong type of plant , died. - respawned , picked a few bushes, sold them to a vending machine , bought a tent . and a box , got some stuff stored and went for a walk.. found the snow area, died reaaaal fast. - respawned at my tent (win) , went back to the snow and grabbed my stuff (bringing food for healing) , found a bunch of stuff ,took it home, made a shotgun , got my first kill . felt bad about it went back home and logged out.

  So Here's my Story so far. Spawned into the island. Gathered Wheat. Waved at a Player, Player Shot me with a Shotgun, Died. Respawned on Island again. Met Same Player waiting for me. Shot at me with a shotgun again, Died Respawned a Third time. Finally bought my Fishing Rod. Stayed Near Safe Zone Turret this time. Player tried to shoot me again. Turret Shot him, HE died. So I got his Loot and finally started playing. Turns out he had a Tent so i was already off to a good start. I went looking for a good spot and decided to set up camp in the woods by one of the bigger outposts. Far enough away from their turrets to not be shot dead. So i finally get my tent and now i need to figure out what to do to get wood to make it a House. I go to the bigger outpost, Led by a kinder player and he shows me which vender gets me a workbench so i can get on my feet. 500 credits for a Workbench HAHA! So i decide to go looting the hangars and Lo and Behold, I get two from there. Ok So Buying a Workbench is absolutely a waste of money :) So I loot it some more and when my backpack got full, I run to the outpost and sell my crap. Then I get my Chainsaw and start gathering wood to upgrade. I am still trying to upgrade to my house and I am so far LOVING this game. It's fun, Addicting, And something i can do to kill my weekends. I love this overall and would happily play it for long hours even if there's some players out to kill me. I just learn to keep my stuff INSIDE my house and only take the essentials. Gonna have to learn where the Turrets are at some point so i can make one for my Home

  Buckle up for the most positive negative review ever! I have sunk a good few hours into this game, and I have experienced its pros and cons. But as the game is now (albeit in Early Access which of course has its issues) it is not worth the time to play. The pros: - The game is very cute, like an Animal Crossing x Rust crossover - The emoting to other players is cute friendly fun as well - I enjoy the collection aspect of the game (I hope they add more to collect) - The fishing in games always gets a pro rating out of me - I enjoy the building aspects, although a bit buggy The cons: - The server crashes are frequent and losing hours of progress is always disheartening - The community is toxic...but what do you expect from this genre of game really - The bugs are outrageous (yes, I know it's early access) - The CONSTANT server wipes make it hard to want to play the game at all - The inflation of in game items does not scale well to the price of selling items, (5k for a crafting bench? REALLY?) Longvinter is a VERY fun game, if you play it for an hour and don't get attached to anything you've progressed to obtain. In the state that its in I just can't recommend it, but I will stay fingers crossed for this games progress with development.
