Its an average game, a bit hard at first but get easier later in the game. It has a freezing issue where the screen will stop working but you can still move around and hear the game audio, a rpg maker issue i think. Other then that it has one bugged event that will trigger twice, not a big deal. This game is tagged as a game with Sexual Content and Nudity, this is false so if you are here for that then you wont find any.The story is not that great but i liked it. Only thing i hated was how grind heavy this game is and that as far as i know relations with your companion does nothing other then give you the player a buff in some stats for sharing a bed with them at an inn. Other then that i had fun. Quick edit. Here is a couple friendly tips for any one having a hard time with enemies in this game. 1. Learn magic skills and healing skills, you will have a hard time at the start if you dont properly use magic, you can heal with the magic skill from the skill menue and also by learning the meditation skill and using it during battle you will recover 50% mana by using the TP during the fight., its a easy way to farm mana during easy fights or when you have almost won one. If you dont then you will struggle in allot of fights. 2.You can escape normal fights so if you cant win no shame in running or if you get tired of fighting. This game is heavy heavy grindy so you will need to farm allot to afford basic gear. 3.Save offten or the game might suddenly freeze forcing you to restart and do all the battles you just did all over again. 4.Near the end of the game you can buy glyphs to boost your stats to make life easier, you can also get some as drops from enemies in the forest zone at the other side of the broken bridge.

No level for the characters or exp system- only way to get stronger is to buy new equipment, which honestly, seems more realistic so I don't mind it. Of course, since this is a game, you probably want realism in terms of world and environment, and nothing that actually feels like a drag when playing, since this feature does require you to grind for gold, drops to sell for gold, etc. Skill system is buying books with these magic orbs you find. Really cool in a way, since you can't level up, only way to get "skill points" which this game doesn't have, you gotta get these orbs to buy these skill books or magic books. Forces you to choose what you really want to use. Honestly, looking at the reviews, this game probably won't be for most avid rpg maker fans, but hey, I like it.

In its current state, I honestly really want to like Monster Girl Fantasy, but I really feel that while I'm just barely able to tolerate the game, I fear that most other people will be turned off by the game due to its mechanics. Problem 1) The no exp system. This immediately will be a turn off to most people because not all fights will make you stronger. In fact, due to the way the game works, it might in fact be better off to actively avoid fights if possible. The only way to get stronger in this game is simply by getting money to buy equipment. So far in my 2-3 hours of playing, the only ways to farm for money were to kill human enemies, or by selling drops that you get after each battle. Now if the gold was balanced out properly, this would not be an issue. However just 2 hours into the game, when you get to the 3rd inn, the cost of the inn is 50g. However the enemies you fight at that point in time only drop an item that you can sell for 24g. To make it worse, those enemies can one hit crit ko your guys. Problem 2) The ungodly high encounter rate, which coupled with the way that fights play out, means that as you progress, it becomes increasingly a chore to get anywhere. Enemies aren't push over even when you are decently decked out in equipment. This means each fight is dragged out unnecessarily long because for some unknown reason, the enemies have high amounts of hp, appear in grps of 3 or more, and also hit hard. Problem 3) The lack of balancing at all. Skill books are only purchaseable with skill orbs. Now the problem is at the beginning, you are only given 2 skill orbs for you to purchase 2 skills out of more than 16 skills. It looks overwhelming at first and in truth it is. The two skills i selected barely got me through the first boss. Now imagine this, the first boss is a good 1 hr into the game. Even when both my guys were at full hp, I still barely ekked out a win with the skills i had selected. This was on top of the fact that i actually had chosen a heal skill. I can't imagine myself surviving that fight without having that heal. So it means if i had chosen poorly at the start, bam, there goes 1 hr of progress. See where i'm going with the lack of balancing? If the skills or the enemies were balanced, this should not be an issue at all especially considered that you can't level up to get stronger at all. Honestly power level fantasy seems so poorly designed in this game. You're barely able to earn enough gold for the next set of equipments that you need, while at the same time having to spend gold on the inn. With all that fighting, you would assume that you would at least gain a certain level of proficiency, which in turn would make fights easier. Nope, not this game.

I finished the game now and I think the story got better the further you got in the game! Loved all the monster girls (Slippy was my favorite) and I think it was nice how different the girls were. The patch made a big difference and the game is more fun to play now. I can recommend the game and looking forward for more monster girls in the future!

8/10 I enjoyed playing this game even if I had some difficulties during the game - I like the challenge though. Here are few thoughts about the game I liked and some improvement suggestions for the future: Pros - Art! I really don’t have any complaints about the monster girls. I needed to check the artists’ works after this and he really can draw beautiful girls. This made this game more enjoyable to play! - Fights. I get bored easily so I didn’t mind a bit of a challenge when it came to enemies. Enemies were also quite different which was great. - Spells and skills. I enjoyed that there were good amount of customization in the game through these elements. Cons - I wished that there would have been more private interactions with the girls. This would be something to consider if the story continues… - Difficulty bounced. By this I mean that in the beginning it was harder to pass the enemies and get through them and then it got easier for a while and then again harder. Overall I liked the game myself and will try it again after a while.

Me: Confronts village elder and two flunkies, after a series of very hard battles. Me: Manages to kill the two flunkies, and weaken the elder. Me: Figures a 50/50 change of winning this desperate battle. Village elder: Heals self, resurrects flunkies. Me: Rage-quit! Me: Uninstall game!

I like Monster Girl Fantasy, but I don't love it. Clicking through windows took me a few to figure out, it would be nice to back track with the mouse and not going back to the ESC key to back up through the windows. I played 35 hours and pretty much have the game figured out. Pretty much? Yeah, missing two of the girls and some content just couldn't take the caves anymore but I will go back and check it out. Beat the Main boss without wiping, but that isn't hard if you faced the the two mini bosses, wiped twice then when back and bought new gear and up my stats then beat them. Things I would like to see: 1) It's in the title Monster Girl Fantasy. Put a little effort into the text and the interaction between the MC and the Toons. One flirt line per girl is lame, if there are more lines than the one then it is pretty ridiculous that in 35 hours of play the lines did not come out. Also the amount of time between meeting the girls and being allowed to flirt is way to long. When you met your other how long did it take you all to start flirting? Err NM sorry... 2) The Tag Sexual Content is bull as well as Nudity. You see more watching old Baywatch reruns. I would let my 6 or 10 year old play this game. 3) I WANT A MAP - I feel blind, You can blacken it out until the area discovered and then uncover it, that's cool, but leaving a map on the desk and not letting me pick it up that was just cruel. ** Another reviewer said ** And his points are his, and that's cool. But my take is... Problem 1) The no exp system. - AND I LIKE THAT - This is correct you earn cash and you can buy Gear that ups your HPs, Mana, Luck etc. You also get Orbs that you can use to get (buy) Skills or Spells. Hint - Farm monsters or human scum, to earn cash, gold and other stuff to sell. Then you can Buy the Orbs to buy more Skills or Spells AND/OR you can buy Glyphs to up your HPs, Mana, Luck, Agility etc. At anytime!!! No waiting for the next level!!! You need to tweek your HPs go do it! Need more Mana get some! Problem 2) The ungodly high encounter rate. - I agree with this - But in a some cases you can Escape (Run away) but not all and I hate running away. But when you are trying to make it through a *#!* cave system that is a maze it can be a pain. This was before I figured out how to level my Toon and the party members. Problem 3) The lack of balancing at all. - Ok, I do not agree with this. - Read about Problem #1 it is the same here. Farm sell stuff buy Gear, Orbs and Glyphs and your life is sooo much easier. You also get Plant matter that can be good for you or both good / bad, or just bad. I sell all the good / bad, and bad. IE Good = Adds 10% HPs, Good / Bad = Adds 10% MP but does 5% damage to HPs. Bad = just does bad stuff you. Again: I sell all the good / bad, and bad. With on exception If it Adds %HPs with damage to MPs I may keep that for a fighters only class, they don't use mana. It seems to me that the people that are having problems are not taking the time to grow the Toons. There is no leveling you have to put captured loot into your toons to make them stronger through gear, HPs, Mana. Luck. Agility, Magical Attack, and Magical Defence. (Defence = Defense, Look it up, one is just more correct depending where you are) Thank you for reading have a great game!
