  OMG Bring back me to my childhood. Old game still the best. I was little sad when I bought it and Can't start it , get the windows error 0xc0000022, After reseach on the internet, I found a solution : FIXED : https://neosmart.net/wiki/0xc0000022/ Causes of this Error This error has been known to occur as a result of one or more of the following: Cause 1: Access rights are set incorrectly The most common cause of this error is a Windows application that is unable to access the other files that are necessary for it to work. Cause 2: System files are damaged or corrupt The other common cause is a Windows system file that became corrupt because of a disk write error. Fixing “0xc0000022” on Windows Fix #1: Check for permission issues If the 0xc0000022 is trigged by a specific application and you’re able to identify which application was it, check for its permission configuration to make sure they are set correctly. To do so, follow these steps: Right-click on the application that triggered the error. This can either be the shortcut on your Desktop or the .exe file of the application installed, available in My Computer. As The Five Eyes, you will need to complete your mission objectives all while foiling L.A.P.D. SWAT. Police Quest: SWAT 2 is a welcomed nostalgic addition to Steam that will be appreciated by the new and old gamer of tactical squad game play.

  An excellent game. It has been 17 years (!!!) since I last played, and I feel incredibly old, yet very happy, to be writing this. Police Quest: SWAT 2 is one of the early old-timers to introduce tactical, real-time squad-based gameplay to PC gaming, and was first released by Yosemite Entertainment for Microsoft in 1998. Which means that I was 6 when this came out. 6! The series spanning the original SWAT to SWAT 4, has been a rather broad, somewhat eclectic mix of genres including Strategy Adventure (SW 1), RTS (SW 2) and FP Tactical Shooter (SW 3/4) spanning separately across the four titles, but SWAT 2 remains my firm favourite. The game features two separate campaign paths in which you control a SWAT team or infamous terrorist organisation 'The Five Eyes,' and go head-to-head, from a static isometric view of California, Los Angeles and the surrounding 'off the grid' area. In total there are 30 missions, 15 for each respective campaign and each storyline is independent of the other, though some scenarios are similar. Based on the individual mission requirements, you can select a team of officers or terrorists and negotiate, neutralise or manhandle your way to success. The game is not without flaws, but many veteran players will look toward this title with rose tinted specs and forgive the overly complicated interface, micromanagement and janky artificial intelligence. [h1]For any of you who are desperate for a fix, both in the mechanical and literal sense, I hope I can be of some help to you. The [b] 'Smartheap Library: mem_rezise_fail' error [/b] seems to be a common problem, but I do have a workaround that I can confirm currently works. For any of you who are struggling to run the game due to this error, firstly, I recommend going here: [url=https://ninite.com] Ninite.com [/url] and downloading the Klite codec. It is a very simple non-bloat, timely install that will correct and allow access to the video format of older games, allowing you to run the missions [I] and[/i] view the cutscenes. This should also fix the issue with grey screening after loading. If you feel it necessary, you can also change compatibility mode to Windows XP Service Pack 3, by browsing the local files of the games install directory, selecting the executable file, right-clicking and selecting Properties> Compatability Mode. However, I found the codec pack sufficient to run the game full screen on Windows 10, 8 and 7. [/h1] I hope that this allows you to re-experience and thoroughly enjoy the game as I did/am, and bask in all the sentimental energy that has collected between your wizened ears over the years. It remains as one of my all-time favourite games, and I was delighted to find it available on Steam earlier this year as a nostalgic addition to the RTS section, and for all fans of tactical squad-based gameplay, and I am sure it will be appreciated and welcomed by new and older gamers alike.

  This game is awesome. By modern standards some of the gameplay can be frustrating, but when you figure out the quirks of getting your officers to do what you want them to do it's a lot of fun. On the missions with badguys with booby traps it does take some strategizing to complete them without blowing your guys up. People having trouble with the game being choppy - Shrink the size of the main game window and it will run wonderfully. This game is almost 20 years old. In this era developers were just making everything up as they went, and clearly they weren't thinking about how to code it to fill up a 1900x1200 screen efficiently. The way a 2D game worked in that era is basically putting countless little graphics up on the screen at once, and the game simply gets swamped. One thing I'd like to see with a lot of these old games is some of the original software they used to create missions. It would be fun to go back in and edit the original missions to make them more difficult or complex, and create some new content. This game does have a map constructor but it's pretty pointless and you can't really create actual missions.

  I used to play this game a lot back when I was younger. I wish they made other SWAT games in the real time strategy style. The game has quite a few bugs that need to be fixed, and hopefully they will be fixed, although I realize that depends on how popular the rerelease is. I still love this game, it was great to play it again, very nostalgic.

  Great classic, i played the living CRaP out of this back in the day but now it just isn't compatible with newer PC's or OS's. I would recommend it if they re-vamped it for better performance but it just feels too sluggish right now.
