After being with the PUBG Mobile team for about five years, from 2018 to the present in 2023, the Indonesian twins Luxxy and Zuxxy from the Esports organisation Bigetron, often known as BTR, have decided to quit. In the esports scene of mobile gaming, the twins have long been regarded as an iconic pair. They have been essential to every bit of success BTR has had in the PUBG Mobile sector, and they have moulded the company into the respected entity it is today.
The Tachibana Twins: Background
The Indonesian twins Made "Luxxy" Prabaswara and Made "Zuxxy" Pramudita, affectionately known as the Tachibana twins, have unquestionably made their mark on the PUBG Mobile competitive scene. They have a resume that would make any esports player envious, they have won countless individual and team awards, and they have demonstrated that being young does not necessarily mean being less successful than an adult in a given industry.
Accomplishments
When Zuxxy and Luxxy made their debut in the PUBG Mobile global championships at the PMSC 2018, they were the first-ever underage players in the competitive scene of the game. They put on an incredible exhibition of ability. At the tender age of 16, they won the world championship in the following year, 2019, when the twins swept the top two spots on the kill list and Zuxxy won MVP. BTR soon went through a period of dominance that hasn't been repeated since.
BTR prevailed in every competition, whether it was at the regional, national, or international levels, under the direction of Zuxxy as the IGL. The twins rose to prominence in the kill leaderboards and earned a reputation as lethal machines. In the PMWL East 2020, Luxxy amassed over 150 kills and won the title of top fragger. But just like other stages, this too came to an end, and by 2021, BTR was starting to lose favor. They lost their edge after being disqualified from PMGC 2021, however, they were still highly formidable.
Downfall
The absence of Microboy and the hiatus of the assaulter Ryzen did not improve the twins' performance as a team, even though they continued to frequently feature in the stats leaderboards. They appeared to finally strike a nerve as the performance progressively deteriorated. Luxxy shared his dismay at the lack of titles in a post on Instagram last week. The pair finally severed their links with BTR on January 21st, 2022, according to news reports, however, they maintain that they still like the team.
Rumors for the future
There are rumors that Zuxxy and Luxxy will experience difficulties working with a new team after leaving BTR. The rumored new team is Geek Fam, another Southeast Asian outfit that now works with their former Malaysian comrade Uhigh. Zuxxy has already hinted that he is open to taking a break from esports if his time at BTR doesn't turn out to be as successful over time, though. After Microboy addressed him as Captain, there was another rumor that Luxxy would rejoin Evos and reunite with him.
Whatever the case, Zuxxy and Luxxy have established their own reputations in the realm of mobile esports and will continue to be the favorites of the audience. It will be interesting to see how they react to this choice and how it affects them in the days to come.
