Jami at Tirmidhi Or Sunan Tirmizi :

Jami-at-Tirmidhi or Sunan at-Tirmidhi is among the six major books of hadith regarded as “Kutub al-Sittah”. Al-Tirmidhi is a person who compiled this vast collection of hadith. He began compiling it after the year 250 A.H. and completed it in 270 A.H. It contains 3,954 Hadith, and has been divided into 51 chapters. It is also classified as a Sunan, which implies that the book has been chaptalized according to the legal chapters.

jami at Tirmidhi is taught in many Mosques and Madaris all across the globe. It is one of the most authentic compilations of the acts and sayings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad .

Sunan Tirmizi book is beneficial and is of great importance to Muslims. With the least cross-checking, this book was published. This book also contains some of the views and aspects of different arguments, clarification of situations and circumstances.

As Jami at Tirmidhi Or Sunan Tirmizi has a huge collection of Hadees classified into different chapters to provide complete guidance to Muslims in different aspects of life. Introduction:

Jami at Tirmidhi in English – It’s a collection of Hadith compiled by Imam Abu Isa Muhammad at-Tirmizi (رحمۃ اللہ علیہ). His collection is unanimously considered to be one of the six major collections of Hadith (Sahah Sitta) of the Sunnah of the Prophet SAW. It contains roughly 3,954 Hadith (with repetitions) in 51 books.

Jamia Tirmizi is also classified as a Sunan, which implies that the book has been categorized according to legal chapters, such as Purification, Prayer, Poor-due and fasting, narrated on the authority of Prophet Muhammad , while the opinions of the companions are usually not mentioned in Jami at Tirmidhi.

Significance:

Imam Tirmizi hadith book began compiling it after the year 250 A.H. and completed this work with an effort spread over 20 years. Imam Tirmizi’s method was that of placing the heading first, then mentioning one or two Ahadith which were related to the heading. These hadith in Jami at Tirmidhi are followed by his opinion as to the status of the Hadith.

Subsequently, he mentions the opinions of the different jurists and any other narrations from companions on the same topic in order to discuss the legal opinions of early jurists. In doing so, he mentions those Jami at Tirmidhi in English translation which the jurists used as the basis for their legal decisions and he mentioned which school used which traditions. Great scholars of past such as Imam Al-Maqdisi and Imam Ibn Al-Athir, highly praised this book of Jami at Tirmidhi in English and considered it useful not only for scholars but also for common people.
