In 1912 the Titanic, once the largest and most luxurious passenger ship in the world, set sail from the English shores for New York. A few days later, the ship sank after colliding with an icerberg.

For many years historians, treasure hunters, oceanographers and businessmen have searched for the wreck. And it was in 1985 when the Titanic was located at the bottom of the sea, 4 kilometers deep and about 800 kilometers off the coast of Canada.

Why did the Titanic split in two?

The Titanic snapped in two because the bow of the ship, where she hit the iceberg, sinks first.
