  These are all of the Crush The Castle games with easy access, just as you remember them. However, this collection has has a framerate cap at around 45 fps and there isn't a true fullscreen mode.. You can see the game's age despite being the graphics being upscaled. But all in all, it's nice to have all of these games here and the collection works.

  It's exactly what it says on the label: a collection of one of the classic Flash game franchises. If you know the name, you already know whether you'd like to have a Steam copy to keep. The nostalgia (and frustration) is real. For the uninitiated, it's a fairly simple physics game. Fling shots at an off-screen structure, try to murderdeath the royals inside in the fewest shots possible as you bring the walls down around their heads. You start out throwing large hunks of rock or timber, progress to explosives, and eventually find yourself hurling all manner of specialized shots in the later games. Simple, destructive fun.

  This is the Crush the Castle game of old, and old it is despite the higher quality graphics no doubt. This is a blast to play and was a huge staple of mine growing up! Even now it is still a blast to play as you will be going level by level destroying and leveling structures! Two was my favorite of the bunch and I never got around to the third installment. Pros: -Nostaliga, what else did you expect? -Classic game-play returns from the ye ole' flash days and is still solid! -Runs smooth with no noticeable performance issues. -Classic frustration returns as some levels are still hard as hell to get the medal for and you just want to keep grinding to get it! -More polished revive of classic flash games where each games contains new features and balancing (I'm looking at you S&S Classic Collection) -The sounds are just nostalgic and a ton of fun to listen to! The Wilhelm scream will never get old! -The UI in the main legacy app is interconnected with all the games and makes switching between them, seamless and easy. This is a huge plus as some flash game revivals (S&S **cough) don't do this and you have to quit out and relaunch. Cons: -A generic complaint of course but $10 is a bit much in my opinion for what you are getting (more info below) -No custom level creator, this was a blast for me when playing CTC2, while we do get a players levels additional campaign with user created worlds, none of these really were the ones that I used to play over and over for hours! (USS something.... was top of all time, some boat that was well crafted) -Some achievements aren't really a challenge by any means but rather "Play the Game." -This is something that I am having some issues with but there seems to be some kind of delay and I find that sometimes my inputs are registering at all, leading to some hilarious but annoying "throw straight downs." -Once you finish the games, replay-ability isn't as exciting without custom user levels Overall, this is a fun game that I have a lot of respect and nostalgia for! It is super nice to see these games resurface for new audiences who may or may not find them as fun as the OGs back in the day! Gaming was super different then and while I do love what comes out every so often, I always enjoy coming back and revisiting some ole' classics! If there is anything to take from this, it would be a request to see a return of user levels! Whether it is a revival of the old level list or a more modern take with steam workshop implementation! Either way, this game is a lot of fun but I hesitate to recommend someone to purchase for full price!

  Such a blast from the past to see. It's just as good as I remembered it, PLUS it has achievements. BRB Crushing another castle.

  This was a game I used to play every day after school and even into young adulthood. I couldn't even begin to say how many hours a day I played this all those years ago. An unhealthy amount I'd say. I can't wait to play this even more now that it's available on Steam. As soon as I saw it was here, I immediately shared it with my young brothers to see if they would remember it. They did! And it's exactly how we remembered it. Ah, nostalgia. Highly recommend this game, to anyone who likes destroying things in various ways, and watching royals get crushed.

  I played these games all the time(TOO MUCH I THINK)more than 10 years ago, especially CTC 1 and 2. And now as steam version, its same as i remember it was back then. Only thing what is missing, is the level creator... they should add it too. I highly recommend this set, especially for them who played CTC at past. But i think new players can find it fun too.
