  So about 200 hours in two weeks after starting the game the first time. This is about as bad a drug as Factorio and impressive bit of engineering given the speed of operation especially with save files of this size. Overall a massive logistics puzzle, with somewhat sparse visibility to what happens around the star cluster, but I would not be surprised if tools for that get added in future patches. Anyway back to transporting photons with a FTL logistic vessel, actual light travelling faster than light? Works perfectly on Linux, just turn of the precompiled shader cache updates if it suddenly stops running. No need to re install the whole game, just delete the shader cache folder under steam... Ohh the drama when the game stopped working after 80 hours and I had to figure that out.

  Smooth gameplay, great graphics, you can easily lose yourself in this game. Not recommended for married people lol

  I agree with a previous comment , this is " a master piece ", lovely fluid game play ,addictive , challenging ,but not impossibly difficult for a 70 year old like me . Well worth the money superb !!

  I really enjoy this game, I started on builders like Act Raisers on SNES, SimCity, Anno(all of em), Factorio, Satisfactory. But nobody ever got off the planet. There is something about managing traffic flow and just the sheer amount of stuff created in this game and putting it all together is pretty fun... on hundreds of planets. I have about 5400+ hours on DSP. When you start a new game at first it is all micro managing your nodes and building a new part every time you get an upgrade, vs power, and ratios, blah blah blah. Once you get fairly advanced if you micro manage, you will get carpal tunnel, blueprints are your friend on the factory and planetary levels. If you have to do something twice by hand just blueprint it blank with no assignments. then as you fill the assignments take a blueprint of that and save it with an assignment The game is different once you get along in the game. It is more about managing volume than managing a perfect ratio of one mini mall, you are constantly evolving and adding nodes or factories or just a lot of stuff. Eventually you have whole planets making sails, another building rockets and multiple full iron ingot smelting planets. Think bigger than just a planet, don't limit yourself in this game. Once you unlock the new miners you can literally set up your power grid and drop the buggers all over the place move on, next thing you know you don't have enough smelters to deal with the ore, so then you expand all your smelting, and on up it goes till you have full solar systems devoted to making white matrix and consuming them. I wish I could find a solution to getting so much stuff the game slows down, eventually is unplayable and you have to start all over again. Have a great time in this game, Cloven Factorio 6500 hrs Dyson Sphere Project 5400 hrs Satisfactory 1800 hrs

  I don't write a lot of reviews but this game needed it. Quite frankly, its way better then it has a right too be! The fact that it functions as a single world development game then moves to the solar system level and then on to a galactic scale all so seamlessly is beyond comparison. I play a ton of automation/base building games and this puts them all to shame. It's very easy to start with and guides you from a single, planetary outpost to extreme, galactic level manufacturing without ever needing to search for guides. Note, this can be very taxing on your system, but I was able to get to a galactic scale build without ever seeing lag. You could likely put in 500+ hours on this without ever using half the systems or running into processing issues. At $20, the cost to time ratio is an extreme steel. If you are into base building, automation or just want to see some gorgeous planetary views, this is a no brainier!

  Unlike a lot of reviewers, I've not actually played Factorio... but if you're looking for a chill resource/logistics game, this is definitely a good choice. Pros: - Incredibly satisfying to set up production lines - Space flight and interstellar travel is easy to control - Logistics allows for easy transport of items across planets and star systems - You can see your own (custom designed) dyson sphere being constructed in real time - Research trees and upgrades give a clear goal and rewards for investing resources - Difficult (nearly impossible) to mess up and be unable to recover. You'd have to waste all your starting planet's resources before getting access to space flight, which would be unlikely to happen by accident - It's possible to share blueprints online, so if you're lacking inspiration you can find expert builds in many places Neutral: - No combat or time constraints (as of Nov 2022), I personally like this as I can relax and go at my own pace, but I know some people like the pressure this provides Cons: - Some materials are disproportionately difficult to make (e.g. organic crystals) and can really bottleneck your production early on - Travelling outside of your star system isn't actually required to beat the game, and doesn't really grant huge benefits vs the cost of doing it - Some tech unlocks are not worth it until later, like solar sails And finally a tip: Set up production lines for all your basic components as early as possible, you'll thank yourself later.
