Các tính năng của Glover

Save the World...Single-handed!

The Kingdom's peaceful world has been shattered! The wizard, while mixing potions with his magical gloves has caused a huge explosion, turning him instantly to stone and dislodging the seven crystals that give the Kingdom its energy. Without the crystals, the castle and its world will fall apart and the wizard will be lost!

It's down to Glover, one of the magical gloves, to find the crystals, now disguised as rubber balls and return them safely to the castle. Guide Glover and the balls through seven magical worlds full of puzzles and hidden surprises. Watch out! The evil glove is lurking in the shadows, and he'll stop at nothing to foil Glover's attempts at restoring peace.

  • 30 levels to explore across six unique worlds

  • Innovative duo of Glover and ball

  • Clever themed puzzles that require the use of both glove and ball

  • Inspiring power-ups! Change the form of the glove and the property of the ball

  • Over 30 bizarre and funny characters, like nothing you have seen before

Finally the wait is almost over. The N64 Era Cult Classic Glover is coming soon! This version of Glover is a completely ported from the original source code (N64 version of the game), and improved for modern PCs. It features Wide Screen, compatibility with Windows 7 and 10. Compatibility with USB controller, as well as higher resolution display.

We have also included the PSone original version for FREE! And make sure you stop by the game file directories for some surprises. We are also working on hopefully including the original Windows version on the package.

NOTE:

We are aware of some bugs reported and we are working on patching them and update is coming soon. However at the request of a lot of original game fans and speedrunners, we are leaving the original N64 bugs unless they are game breaking (not encountered any so far)

This game is a very good port. However, there is no option to quit. I am forever a glove.

I never write reviews but this one pissed me off. First off I love glover and I have played all of the versions multiple times (n64, PC 1998 release, and even the bad psone version). So this new version of the game game has no graphic settings at least I couldn't find them... In 2022 on PC? Heck the fricken PC original 1998 version had more graphic settings. So I'm stuck with graphic settings that make the psone version look like Elden Ring. If that wasn't bad enough the audio glitches were really bad. I kid you not... during the first stage I was hearing audio from the cinematic intro?! Also the game sometimes has animations play way too quickly probably due to the game running at 60fps (originally 20fps) which breaks animations. Also why is there no easy way to quit the game within the game itself? I checked the pause menu, main menu, and the bloody manual and nothing... I have to alt, tab, delete to exit the game?!?! This version needed another 6 months of play testing. Thanks Piko for crapping on my childhood... -69 out of 10

Game from my childhood that I'm sure is way more infuriating than I remembered according to the tutorial They have a config file to edit the framerate and a guide in the steam guides section that covers it but I'll also put it here for coverage After installation go to: C:\users\youruser\AppData\Roaming\Piko Interactive\Gloveropen config.ini with a word editor On Framerate you can change to the following settings: 0 = Like N64 (most stable and recommended) 1 = Always 30 (slight graphic wonkyness we still plan to adjust/fix) 2 = Always 60 (more graphic/physics wonkyness) In that notepad they talk about in their guide there is also an option to change the resolution and the game looks pretty good in 2k/60!

So first impressions aren't too good, i do like how both the n64 and ps1 versions are included. However the n64 versions performance has not been improved and still runs at 20fps despite having the source code. furthermore the sfx in cutscenes are being played at the wrong times and often using the wrong sfx, so playing the original version is still the definitive version. this game needs more TLC and then i might be able to recommend it to my friends but as is this is borderline disrespectful.

Poor emulation. I'm running a 2080 rtx and game is locked to like 10 fps. feels super jagged and should be 5 dollars not 15. gameplay feels fine but the framerate is painfully aggrevating especially for the price of 16$

Decent port. Still has some of the original glitches. Both the n64 and PS1 versions are included. You can change the framerate the game runs at in the configs (%AppData%\Roaming\Piko Interactive\Glover\config.ini) ; 0=Classic (20FPS), 1=Stable (30FPS) ; 2=Smooth (60FPS) 3=Detect from Monitor (Unlimited) Dev said they're working on fixing some physics stuff that gets messed up at 30fps, but it seems to be running fine for the most part. No ingame graphics settings, but forcing antialiasing & anisotropic filtering via nvidia control panel works fine. As for the original glitches, some sound effects do get cut off in some areas (this waas present in the n64 version, I'd assume it's an audio channel conflict.) https://youtu.be/XTu7N4hDtEg

Don't be baited by nostalgia. Just a simple cash grab. QwQ I'm a fool by falling for this and buying. Don't make the same mistake I did. 4/21/20 Edit: You can either pick 2 emulators to boot up. The superior N64 version or the garbage PS1 version. Even though I said that the first is superior, that's half true because both of the emulators sucked! Don't even get me started on the fact that there is barely any controller support too. The achievements system are terrible too, some of them don't even have any names yet! Seriously, this. is. messed. up. Piko, you ruined a favorite childhood game of mine. You folks are the worst... Do not give them your money. Buy a better game, like Dead Estate! Maybe The No More Heroes series instead!

To put it simply: I am mixed on this release, but I know some can enjoy this. Surprisingly you are getting more than an emulated N64 game, but with some drawbacks. When I initially launched the game, I found it very curious as to why there are two options to launch Glover. To my surprise, option 2 is the PS1 version, which I grew up with. I know the N64 and original PC version were different to what I had played. The PS1 version is an emulated version of the game using PCSXR as the emulator. However, the controls are completely wrong and need correcting for this version to work properly. You need to right-click the screen to pull up a user interface for the emulator. If you click "Input" you can rebind the PS1's original, non-dual analog controls to your control choice. In this case, I bound everything to my PS5 Dual Sense controller and it worked. That should not be on the player to have to do and I strongly recommend the developer rethink this, as well as add DualShock support. I also recommend players turn off the border on the sides. No widescreen support on the PS1 emulation is very disappointing as many 16:9 hacks exist. Anti-Aliasing is completely absent from the PS1 emulator for whatever reason, and it is ugly to look at. But hey, it's a legal way to obtain the original BIN and CUE file to play on vastly superior emulators out there, right? This seems to be a clean copy ripped off of a disc or downloaded online, as the publisher is still referred to as Hasbro Interactive in the PS1 release. Now, let's get into the first option the recompiled "N64 version" that has been recompiled for Modern PCs. It's... too faithful, unfortunately. When you have the source code and are taking a while to publish the game like this release did, I expect the game to be able to perform at least similar to the original PC release and have some PC options. Instead the game by default offers widescreen and some unknown resolution that is probably 1080p. You can go into options and fix some of the controls but you still have to wrap your mind around the N64's awkward controller which should have been addressed by the publisher and not on the burden of the player. You also cannot separate the Accept and Cancel buttons from the controller bind process which is really annoying, and I don't think the in-game text is built to dynamically update when controller changes have been made to the related buttons. The higher internal resolution is alright, but the controls are still mapped to an N64 controller. The buttons prompts are usually changed to match an Xbox controller, which is fine, but I can't help but think playing on an N64 emulator would give better performance options. The biggest problem is the forced 20 FPS. I imagine every animation was tied to the game's frame rate which prevented the game from running at 60FPS but adjusting down to 20FPS when the source code is right in the files of the game is disappointing. Now speaking of the files included, I find what's in Glover's folder fascinating. While digging in the files, it appears Glover 2, the prototype, is in there. It should run on an N64 emulator. Digging further, it appears the scripts and source code of the game are sitting in the folders. So maybe some REALLY dedicated fan can fix this version? I also find it strange that there is a .RAR file called "Final Fight", like Capcom's game, but it contains Glover for N64 for NTSC and PAL reggions and Glover 2 Prototype in the folder. This includes archival development versions of Glover 64 from May, July, August, and September builds of Glover for N64, which is fascinating to see how development progressed throughout the final months of development for the original game. Overall, while I can say this is for the die-hard Glover lovers out there, the presentation is lackluster. It needs more polish. It even lacks a Quit to Desktop option, so you have to force quit the game. I appreciate the included extras not advertised at all. Get this if you simply want to play Glover with all its flaws but do not expect this to be even close to the quality I'd hope for from either a recompiled source code build or even how to emulate the PS1 version. I really hope PIKO fixes some of the points I made about the controls, PS1 emulation quality and MAYBE the frame rate.
